Han pasado 28 años desde que vi por primera vez la apertura de Voltron en la televisión de México, ya sabía que su nombre real es Kikou kantai dairugger XV, pero jamás había podido ver la apertura original.. GRACIAS!!!
It was the lackluster opening sequence that spoiled Dairugger's popularity. Had the exciting Voltron intro been applied, it would have thrilled the audience into watching.
This is proof that despite their similarities, Go-Lion and Dairugger XV are definitely not the same. Now I actually find it strange that they would be given the same English name (Voltron) when they got their release here to the United States.
I think this music is cooler than Golion's and the story plot is a twist- imagine unlike Golion, it doesn't have the heroes and villains aware of each other then they end up meeting each other. Building Dairugger XV as a new defense weapon even without knowledge of alien invaders is good in getting ready... after all Earth was already attached by Kyanbell, Boazan, etc.
Yeah, the original series is called Dairuger, and had nothing to do with Voltron Lion (Go Lion). That crossover that was made was created to tie the two together to fix the mess they did naming Dairuger Voltron.
de nada y saludos

oye ¿y que le pasó al video?
ando buscando ese opening como un loco, solo veo versiones en inglés y con el video hecho un asco.

The cross on Vehicle Voltron's sword seems so Christian like. A weapon with a symbol like that should be called the "Sword of God" or something.

The same happened with Robotech, it consisted of 3 animes by the same studio but not connected in anyway.

Robotech was created in the same fashion. They souldn't have the series end too quickly back then.

It's too bad we in the US got such a junky opener. This one is classic, like Starblazers. Not all kiddy.

wow, I've never seen the Japanese version before! I've seen the US version of Vehicle Voltron before though. This is cool!
