NEWSFLASH. Christians in America aren't being persecuted. In fact, its Christians who are persecuting other religious minorities. Christians aren't being beaten when they proclaim their love for Jesus when walking down the street. No one is bullying Christian kids to death for being Christian. Christians aren't being stripped of their civil rights.
I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, fellow Christians must look at the signs that the lord is coming back, and soon. I may not know the date but I can tell you that it is going to be soon. The bible says watch for the signs and be ready.
@spider9243 I was listening to Fox this morning and they said there is a bill in the House of Representatives that would allow the President to say who is a potential terrorist or not, and if the President deems somene to be a potential terrorist, then all the rights of that American Citizen are stripped away and can go to a military court for punishent.

Even the unemployment commission ruled that I was wrongfully terminated because I did not violate any company policy. They just retaliated against my free speech. So persecutions also come from so-called Christians in the church.

In this passage of Leviticus God is telling the Israelites that if they choose to sin and disobay his perfect law then they will suffer the consequences for their actions, among which are cannibalism, diseases, death, and Enemy armies invading. @Agent1W Did you know that there are several kinds of persecution and trials? For America, we don't suffer physically, but we do suffer from mocking, and the trials that come before the American Christian are far different then those who are persecuted physically. While being persecuted physically isn't anything I would want to go through, I can say that being persecuted by the enemy (satan/demons) and people can be pretty hard to take too.
@carpentersdaughter2 Jesus Himself faced the long-term and short-term challenges. He went out into the wilderness for 40 days and nights after His baptism, and that's a long time having to deal with different kinds of pain and temptations. He was still challenged in His ministry, and when the time came, was brutally tortured and crucified, never yielding one inch.
It's remarkable to note that what He went through would put the strongest man to death, and He was fully HUMAN! O_O

This is where Satan will do everything he can to hurt us. Finally, in Rev 20:10,"The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

@Agent1W It also states in scripture that in the end the army of Satan will be at it's strongest upon the earth, and will deceive the very elect if possible. Just because we know the ending doesn't mean we should coast there. My fear is that modern Christianity has the effect of making one docile, when in fact, this is the time when being docile will be fatal. Too many people are willing too "wait" for the Messiah, but not enough willing to go "meet" the Messiah....

The CHURCH, the living people of God ARE the second power in this world if they could ever wake up and realize it. That is just one upon so many important lessons in this story, it's almost offensive that you say it's suited to women, it's suited to the church, and their struggle to fight for survival in a world that doesn't want them.
@JustinLB82 I dunno why you keep saying that Mordecai is the devil in that story. He was Esther's cousin who took care of her when her parents passed away. The devil figure in this story would be Haman, who conspired and plotted to kill all the Jews off. Even so, who won King Xerxes' favor? It was Esther: a lovely, young, beautiful woman.
I know the story of Esther quite well and I understood the alliteration it has to the Church. All I am saying is that this was a triumph for woman!

Anyhow, my point was, and still is, that it's not the coming out of port or the voyage itself that determines the success of this particular voyage, it's the coming back into port that does. How do you measure Satan's defeat? By the deception throughput the world? The lack of saved souls? Sexual immortality being a societal trend? You see, the church still has work to do preceding victory.
@Agent1W Unfortunately for a lot of people today, the "voyage" becomes nothing more than being comfortable in the palace of blessings, as Esther was. The word is in need of a Mordecai right now, because too many people think that because they have faith and have been forgiven, the work is all done, and were victorious, and Satan is already defeated. Well, that's a false sense of peace, take a look around the world, the enemy is alive and well, and winning! Because the church has become docile.

This video is a bit dishonest because Christians aren't being persecuted in America at all. On the contrary, some American Christians are bullies-- and yet they want to play the victim. In some parts of the world Christians really are victims, but in the US they claim that the nation was "founded" on their religion, that they have the right to make laws based on their interpretation of scripture, and speak against groups they dislike. some Christian sexts are extremely abusive.

I know that through the last two thousand years the Catholic church did some major killings of Muslims, Jews and anything else that was in their way on the way to Jerusalem. America has nothing on what the other countries of this world are facing for persecution. In those countries, there is no such thing as fakes or religion because it costs too much to be a Christian. In America, we have such a free right to religious beliefs that anyone can claim to be a Christian and not sacrifice anything. I believe that real persecution is the refining fire of God to bring out the true qualities in a believer. One won't know how much they love God until they face persecution.
While Christians here in America don't face physical persectution, we do live with those and work with those who constantly tell us we live in a fairy tale, or our bosses telling us to put our bible away, that it's not wanted when we are having our lunch. There is persecution going on here it's just not in the physical sense.

@spider9243 I was listening to Fox this morning and they said there is a bill in the House of Representatives that would allow the President to say who is a potential terrorist or not, and if the President deems somene to be a potential terrorist, then all the rights of that American Citizen are stripped away and can go to a military court for punishent.

Even the unemployment commission ruled that I was wrongfully terminated because I did not violate any company policy. They just retaliated against my free speech. So persecutions also come from so-called Christians in the church.

In this passage of Leviticus God is telling the Israelites that if they choose to sin and disobay his perfect law then they will suffer the consequences for their actions, among which are cannibalism, diseases, death, and Enemy armies invading. Haha God wouldn't command his people to eat their children, He warned them so they wouldn't end up in that situation.

For America, we don't suffer physically, but we do suffer from mocking, and the trials that come before the American Christian are far different then those who are persecuted physically. While being persecuted physically isn't anything I would want to go through, I can say that being persecuted by the enemy (satan/demons) and people can be pretty hard to take too.

He went out into the wilderness for 40 days and nights after His baptism, and that's a long time having to deal with different kinds of pain and temptations. He was still challenged in His ministry, and when the time came, was brutally tortured and crucified, never yielding one inch.
It's remarkable to note that what He went through would put the strongest man to death, and He was fully HUMAN! O_O

This is where Satan will do everything he can to hurt us. Finally, in Rev 20:10,"The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

Just because we know the ending doesn't mean we should coast there. My fear is that modern Christianity has the effect of making one docile, when in fact, this is the time when being docile will be fatal. Too many people are willing too "wait" for the Messiah, but not enough willing to go "meet" the Messiah....

The CHURCH, the living people of God ARE the second power in this world if they could ever wake up and realize it. @JustinLB82 I dunno why you keep saying that Mordecai is the devil in that story. He was Esther's cousin who took care of her when her parents passed away. The devil figure in this story would be Haman, who conspired and plotted to kill all the Jews off. Even so, who won King Xerxes' favor? It was Esther: a lovely, young, beautiful woman.
I know the story of Esther quite well and I understood the alliteration it has to the Church. All I am saying is that this was a triumph for woman!

Anyhow, my point was, and still is, that it's not the coming out of port or the voyage itself that determines the success of this particular voyage, it's the coming back into port that does. How do you measure Satan's defeat? By the deception throughput the world? The lack of saved souls? Sexual immortality being a societal trend? This video is a bit dishonest because Christians aren't being persecuted in America at all. On the contrary, some American Christians are bullies-- and yet they want to play the victim. In some parts of the world Christians really are victims, but in the US they claim that the nation was "founded" on their religion, that they have the right to make laws based on their interpretation of scripture, and speak against groups they dislike. some Christian sexts are extremely abusive.

It's always tragic to see people harmed for their beliefs.

First you need someone who has been treated unfair. then you need some people who are upset about it and who confirm to each other that it was bad. Then you impose that this unfair treatment was targeted on a certain group on purpose.
Aooner or later you'll find some people fo that group who want to revenge it. The last step is to find a lunatic who is mad enought to do it.

Evidence tells us that Christians cannot claim the sole standard of persecution. Muslims, Buddhists, and *gasp* non-believers can do this as well. To isolate Christians as unique in this respect is a logical fallacy.

I know that through the last two thousand years the Catholic church did some major killings of Muslims, Jews and anything else that was in their way on the way to Jerusalem. All one has to do is claim any faith and there will be someone wanting to kill them for what ever reason.

So you are saying two things:
1) If you can't name the perpetrator, then the crime didn't happen.
2) No crime motivated by a belief in Christianity was actually committed by Christians because only people who don't commit such acts can be Christians.
You can be defensive all you want, but all I am sayins is that throughout history Christians are and have been among the big boy persecutors either through violence or policy.
Please don't pretend that Christians are mere innocents.

I imagine that the reason why Chrisitanity is not heavilly pursequted, is because it really is no threat at all to the powers that be. Those thousand member mega churchs, with their power and victory in Jesus have done NOTHING to sway the demand for more video games, bars, drugs and therepy. America has nothing on what the other countries of this world are facing for persecution. In those countries, there is no such thing as fakes or religion because it costs too much to be a Christian. In America, we have such a free right to religious beliefs that anyone can claim to be a Christian and not sacrifice anything. I believe that real persecution is the refining fire of God to bring out the true qualities in a believer. One won't know how much they love God until they face persecution.
