  • V1 FTW

  • Used escort 8500 red on ebay is 100. ,1 $230 I wonder why

  • Why do I need to know how fast I'm going I have a speedometer!. Cops hardly stay in the same place so gps marks will make up for the false alerts. Ohh crap beep beep where is it? I don't know.

  • 9500 ix is better it shows your speed, direction of red light and speed cameras. dont care what direction the cops in i slow down regardless. 9500ix locks out false alerts with gps and has a data base update for known speed trap hot spots. lol why get that bulky sqaure valentine .MY 9500ix does alot more than valentine .

  • i wouldnt be quick to say that they caused interference among eachother. the V1 didnt pick up another signal (which is a very great feature of it). so the test is somewhat valid tbh. I tested my 8500 vs my XTR-695 about the same distance from eachother, the XTR-690 actually leaked a KA band to the 8500 O_O!!?!? on top of that the XTR falsed much more than usual lol

  • im looking to buy one of these... does it only do the beep* when you're being "radared" not sure what to call it

  • Grosse arnaque le xt 9500 est une véritable merde j'en ai fait les frais!!

Depuis février 2011 lors du retour à l'envoyeur toujours aucun remboursement malgré de nombreux appels. Ne vous faites pas avoir comme moi.

  • so which 1 would recomand

  • Which one do you like better?

  • 9500i looks like the smarter detector here. Basically same alert on first pass- doesnt alert you for 2 miles after the drone, because the THREAT HAS PASSED. When the car turns around, V1 alerts first since the 9500 is in AUTO, and the car was driving slowly up to speed. AKA: the sensitivity was reduced for filtering. Try driving with the V1 down a highway such as 75 that has radar drones. V1 = Useless. Both great detectors, just have different features. You chose the ones you like.

  • Anyone who says a 9500 is a POS is an idiot. Less sensitive, yes- more features, yes. Try driving with the V1 down a highway with radar/traffic drones. V1 = Worthless w/o GPS lockout.

  • ok dude.... you got a radar detector telling you to slow down and you still drive 45 in a 35 mph road ???

  • So which should I get? V1 seems annoying so hopefully u can turn down the volume but the 9500 seems to be reliable with less false alarms but v1 shows u where it is... Hmm idk!?!

  • you're speeding! tsk tsk tsk.

    lol

  • please explain to me how it works and especially: when does it "beep"

i hope you understand my question ^^

  • bor geil 5 sterne

  • Escort claims their radar detectors give you rear protection. The truth is shown in this video that once you pass a radar threat, the V1 is the only radar detector that can alert on rear radar threats. The V1 is the only patent radar detector with both front and rear antenna's. Escort rely on the radar signal to bounce off the front of it to even alert its a rear shot.. V1 Takes this one, No surprise there.

  • V1 looks better then 8500 has better range...

  • I wonder what the v1 does if you get a signal from the front when it is still detecting the rear signal????

  • it will flash all three arrows at once, flashing the arrow with the strongest signal

  • Not quite. If it gets a signal from the front, side and rear it will light all three arrows at once with the flashing arrow being the threat, but with signal at the front and rear only the front and rear arrow will be lit with the strongest signal (or what it determines to be the threat) indicated by the flashing arrow.

  • Valentine 1 wins.. detected first on both approaches.. .You're wasting your money with anything else.. Not only did the V1 detect first, but it kept detecting from the rear unlike that POS 9500

  • i got 3 radar detectors in my mini van

  • This is a great advertisement for the Valentine One detector. It tells you WHERE the radar signal is coming from, plus lets you know once you've passed it or if it's behind you...AND it had much stronger reception from rear-radar once the guy turned around.

Go Valentine1, that was an easy choice.

  • Yes it was, but i bought one a few months ago and i hate it, goes off for everything besides a cop.. I returned it for a 9500I and i dont have any headaches anymore, no speeding tickets ether!

  • so which one should I get? they both seem to be highly sensitive.

  • and some people like to know when theyre being surveiled...no go practice your high morality somewhere else

  • i want your windshield

  • You can't even make a valid test with this. You couldn't even make a valid test if there was another radar detector within 500 feet of your car. I've tried it with my buddy's V1 and my old ass BELL. The V1 picks up Ka and Laser from the old BELL. If your wondering what to get go for a V1 for 95% of situations. 9500ir for those going through speed camera areas (It has programable GPS). BELL STI for areas where RDs are illegal(It has duel antenas and cannot be detected by detector detectors)

  • its illegal at canada the radar ....

  • Just listening to these things go off is enough to justify me buying the 9500i

  • Nice video btw.

  • Nice 44 in a 35 keep it up. =)

  • Is that the speed sign right before you get to tybee island?

  • Sure is.

  • Holy fuck those things are annoying but i whould have to say the V1 is the winner just keep the volume down and its all good

  • my friend has a valentine and the thing wont shut up..constantly going off was driving me insane, in the city i would prefer the 9500 highway valentine without a doubt

  • Don't forget you can't really rely on this "test" as they are probably interfering with each other. I plan solo tests later.

  • my dad has the 9500i and i have the 8500 x50 blue and i like the x50 more because when you go over a ramp with the 9500i it takes a while to pick it up on the otherside the x50 gets it easily so you get wayyyyyy more time to slow down but no doubt 9500i is a really great detector and so is the x50 i recomend x50 :)

  • @Ultron912 yea you can see the ix go from 24.173 to 24.145. Likely that 24.145 is the actual detection and 173 oscillator interference.

  • Check out how crappy the rear detection is on the Escort 9500i because it doesn't have a rear antenna like the Valentine One.

  • Notice how the Valentine One detected it first from both directions. Also, the Escort 9500i has a crappy ramp-up and it is $50-$100 more than the Valentine One.

  • Wow, aren't you a fanboy of the V1. You do realize that test where the detectors are used side by side that they interfere with each other, therefore making the test results completely inaccurate and irelevant?
