you know there is not just 1 explenation for the story line of zelda. what makes zelda so great is that every player can make up their own legend. ofcourse the main story line is made by de game designers but there are many questions unanswerd throughout the zelda timeline. Demise said that his hatred will be reincarnated or something. every player sees this different. some people dont like the idea of reincarnation. so they think it has nothing to do with Ganondorf being eveil etc. bad english.

Not true. When you are reborn you know nothing of past lives you lived. That is why prior to birth you are basically staring at a wall when trying to remember things prior. Ganon does not remember himself as Demise because Ganon is the reborn Demise. Like with Link he lives a new life each game so he remembers not of any previous lives before. That is why Windwaker Link does not remember his life as OOT's Hero of Time. Get my drift?

Ok let's settle this. The game proves (via dialog, safe speculation and Word of God) that Demise is RESPONSIBLE for the origin of Ganondorf. Whether they share their conciousness has not been said yet, though as demise's mind is said to be decaying inside the master sword, i doubt that. I believe Ganondorf is just the physical incarnation of Demise's hatred, because if otherwise, the man would REMEMBER something about link, and it would be much harder to retcon. SO THERE. Darthchaos I just wanted to add i saw your "full story" on how link and ghirahim worked together in the end to kill Demise, and that this is the LAST in the cannon, when in fact Ghirahim is another sword much like Fi AND this is the first game in the timeline! This was when the curse was placed on the hero and the goddess's bloodline's and the master sword was brought to full strength if you wish to get technical, wind waker is more near the end than any other title as the master sword had to be

@Wiggymaster while i agree that ganon is a reincarnation of demise's hatred, i must point out that in an game informer interview with the zelda team and mr. miyamoto, that they stated that they have a timeline worked out, but didn't reveal it. they said that knowing the timeline as it stands now, would take some of the hype out of the series.so to keep up the hype and keep people thinking they did NOT reveal the timeline. miyamoto said that the timeline is not what u would think.

(example: four sword not related to skyward sword, ocarina of time universe/timeline)

He does, after all, represent the chosen Hero of the gods, and is also the only one capable of weilding Evil's bane, the Master Sword during his era.
