Sometimes you cant just listen to the way its being sung. You have to hear the words. Sometime our ears play tricks on us with songs like this and it makes us only focus our attention to who the singer is and the way their singing it. I was just guilty of that. The words is where the inspiration and the blessing of Christ lie within.

Both of these women will always sing this song to the max for me. Luther's version was soul stirring, and Aretha's was decent, but Patti and Yolanda are the only ones that can take me to the Kingdom of Heaven with this song. Recently I have been finding these astonishing videos of Yolanda Adams. I have been a fan of hers since I was a kid, but I have never heard her sing like this. When she sings I can tell that it isn't about her at all, and that is something that a lot of singers cannot do. When I'm listening to Yolanda Adams I can feel the power of Christ through her voice and she makes me know that Jesus is always with us. This is a living legend! A gospel superstar! And one of the finest singers ever born!
