  • please god give me BMW like this

  • i got the 320si R/C replica drived by Jorg Muller , and now got the same M3 GT2 E92 drived by muller again , BMW FTW \m/

  • BMW In my blood. Help there is no cure.

  • Join the club dude. BMW forever

  • What are those three lights by the rear tire for???

  • @moto76dan They indicate the position of the car during the race, I think they light up when the car is running in the top three positions.

  • @moto76dan I believe that it's for other racers to see when passing at night so they know they're there.

  • olay ad on this video is gay.

  • such a good video!

  • Hold ALT and press F4 to skip the ads.

  • Fantastic questions and details in these interviews!!! that short little comment about what that carbon-fiber bit under the mirrors is was also a very interesting thing I have never ever thought about, it really shows how much effort they put into winning. I have a new respect for the race-teams now, especially respect for BMW for inviting you over!!! The teams should really start to use social media for what its worth, they need fans and a few minutes online every other day can make fans happy.

  • Welcome BACKKKKKKKKKKKK. I have to say I love the quality of the video. It looks very professional. I thought I was watching Top Gear for a second there. I wish FLD was like this in general.

  • I remember Leo's shows I would skip them. Then he had this amazing show on F1 and his shows just got better, they are always interesting and funny. I think cooler than DD's shows!

  • Leo is the boss

  • Best Shakedown yet, easily.

  • NIcely done! Good to have you back. Great stuff Leo.

  • Leo Greetings . Looks like you found your love of cars. Enjoy

  • Leo, I enjoy what you do for FLD. I remember the whole "good GM, BAD GM" episode...i think that was the first time I saw you.

  • nice to have you back, and great infoand can we have more.

  • If you died right now are you 100% sure you'd go to Heaven?

  • If you died right now are you 100% sure you'd go to Heaven?

  • Fuck, I live in CT! The BEAT!

  • always will be an ALMS fan. Grand Scham/nascar can drop dead...

  • Welcome back Leo.

  • Leo, you should be a TV interviewer. All the current ones are useless.

They are asking questions like: What were you thinking as you were crossing the line? Who came to your mind? Then the driver says some BS about their family and loved ones and other crap no-one cares about.

Asking the driver whether he is a 'connecting the points' driver or a 'feel the car' driver, now that was a great question.

    Loving the return of shakedown.

  • kill the music or at least turn it down

  • hell yea Castrol syntec oil is the best.

  • This is great to see my company Avnet all over the car! Glad you had coverage on the BMW Rahal Letterman team!! Thanks Fast Lane! - Avnet goes racing!

  • welcome back its been a bit booooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrring with out u

  • CORVETTE RACING ALMS #FTW

  • ooh what id give to race in the alms :)

  • LOVE the new format, how Leo goes out and gives us this new in-depth look at racing, as opposed to just reciting headlines (not that that's a bad thing). Two thumbs up!!

  • we missed you leo

  • Very impressive show today...

  • Very nicely done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great blend of track, paddock, interviews and music!

  • Welcome Back Leo

  • Loved the video.

  • i like the video quality of this video but i still would like some HD at least 720p, this is a YouTube show past its 900 epi u guys need to step ur game up, u guys don't even cover auto news every day, only three days out of the 7 days in a week, maybe u don't need to have hosted shows on those days but on the days where there is the road testament and shakedown u could do a voice only segment for the news like we had at the beginning of the year

  • great stuff Leo. Much improved upon the previous layout

  • Great feature

  • Just a quick note of sincere thanks to all for all the compliments / comments. Again, it was team - Iain Browne, JF Musial, DD [4 giving up Fri 2 SD], AutoStream [4 giving us the platform].

More to come. But, for now back to dinner as we're celebrating with the Bologne Alfredo at Olive Garden [NO! Never been in one never will].

PS - Getting this vid more view counts would help get concept sold. May I ask your help 2 share SD with friends / forums 2 build our community? Thanks.

  • Shakedown is way better than "The Road Testament"

  • Sweet! I loved it :)

  • anyone know the name of the tune in the background?

  • Comment removed

  • @mikecsxi White M3, by Deep Basin. It's on Soundcloud basin slash white dash m3

  • i've been watching fld for almost 2 years and this is probably the best and most professional episode i've ever saw. super impressive.

  • awesome need more of this

  • So awesome to have Leo back, asking some really great questions, super cool insight

  • Nice episode

  • Top notch job, loved the questions to Muller. Great job Leo, you rocked it man.

  • Nice job Leo.

    Great to have you back.

  • This is one of the best versions of Shakedown. Looks very profesional, both interview, video, audio. Good job!!!

  • wow feeels like a very professional video. something that should be on t.v.

  • Absolutely fantastic episode, this is what was missing from shakedown to make it a complete package. I can safely say the only episode I have enjoyed more was the lemans classic footage ( but that doesn't really count). Great job guys

  • Great episode, i hope more like this one will come!!

  • Honestly, Leo just gets better and better

    Welcome back

  • thanks Leo, welcome back.

  • AWESOME!!

  • Great show!

It’s tough to believe that the same folks that turn out a quality show like Leo’s Shakedown are also delivering that dung heap Monday-Wednesday show.

  • I hope that this episode of Shakedown is an indicator of the direction of FLD...so professional! Great camerawork, structure, quality, production. Well done Leo and everyone on the FLD team.

  • Great episode Leo

  • great show Leo Parente. i love the new format. so does my gf. keep up the great work. she says she just might watch it with me. FLD rocks!

  • I was there for all the sessions but I never saw you guys even though I hung around BMW alot

    Go BMW

  • i love the bg music?

    does anyone know the name?

    thanks in advance

  • this is more like it. keep it up.

  • This is more like it. Please keep to this format for shakedown.

  • Great episode!

  • great episode, great interviews leo.

  • Whoa! When did FLD start doing credit rolls?

  • Good video, keep it up leo

  • such a dope race and qualify was ill. so glad i went!

  • @CastrolSupra12 Wow. Do people really talk like this? LOL

  • @haygoodb yes, yes they do. LOL.....

  • YES! More of this.

  • great video!

  • M Power Baby!!!

  • Awsome Video Leo!

  • good to have shake down back!

  • Man were are they racing how its named and were i can soo the rezults.... link and plzz comments!:D

  • @Andrei1900 AmericanLeMans[dot]com Lime Rock Park Notheast Grand Prix

  • Great segment! Great to have your back Leo and looking forward to more behind the scenes racing!!

  • Sound quality is poor fld got the same problem. There is pucking noise from time to time.

  • i know you love that blazer Leo but its time to hang it up. How about a black rain jacket next time? As a matter of fact give that jacket away so your not tempted to wear it everyday. Please dont take offense im sure its well made but its a tired and forced look, you can do better.

  • Super nice vid and phenonoml quality. A++ Leo!

  • Leo, a few weeks back I complained about not getting my BMW fix.....THANK YOU:) ///M-Power!

  • Great stuff Leo keep those interviews up :D

  • ahhhh i missed leo

  • Really great vid. Glad to have you back Leo:-)

  • Freaking love those BMW's ... Wow.. This video.. It's just .. Filling me with the energy, the pressure, the whole enviorement! =D I totally feel it.. Like if I'm there! =D It's freaking wierd! ^_^ haha..

I whish I could have been there with you guy's! =D

  • The camera quality is phenomenal!

  • Awesome Leo! good stuff for us bimmerphiles! Keep up the excellent work!

  • Great Video Leo, Ignore the Douche's that say otherwise! Its great to get such access to a usually very insular race team.

  • @PardonMyZinger I do ignore. But, I do listen to all comments to pull out anything that can help. I love biting back at the hecklers to see what happens next. It's my new hobby!

  • you can really tell that Leo has been a racingdriver, he's so natrual interviewing these guys

  • Boring, Worst video ever...

  • @grannetia72 Are you happy with yourself now? Thanks for watching [and for the 5 thumbs that immediately agreed with you!]. Sorry, I'll try harder for you next time.

  • @LeoParente I am looking out for the new and improved Sjakedown. Looking at your older video´s, I now know you can do so much better than this one.

  • Rock and Roll, far out man :)

  • Certainly the best and most professional Shakedown to date! This show could be on tv with a show like that, keep up the good work Leo!

  • What is that thing attached to the hub at 5:11?

  • @haygoodb i think it's wights to simulate the wight of the wheel and tire. maybe

  • @haygoodb Scroll the commments, pls. I added a reply about this alignment fixture.

  • Why does Leo get to personally interview BMW racing? Because Leo Parente is the suit and the brain of FLD, even though he doesn't admit it publicly!

  • great episode, welcome back mr. parente

  • I dont mind FLD without Derek D.

  • Hell yeah leo is back!!! FTW!!!

  • Corvette Racing #FTW

  • YES!

  • Hey JF, there is a youtuber called KassemG that does a weekly show where he interviews 8 or 10 people about a subject. On the following days he releases the full version of some of the interviews that appeared on the show.

You could release a “full version” of the interview with the Dunlop guy.

  • In the interim, here's some more TIRE knowledge from our talk - A rain tire really works like a snow ski..... in that it's the EDGE of each tread pattern that cuts through the water 2 start the channeling away from under the car.

The sharper the edge, the better the rain tire works. Dguy showed us how the edges had rounded [very slightly] + that made the tire 'worn-out'. The rounding was minimal, but tire was done [soon to be a coffee table for some race fan!].

  • THE BEST SHAKEDOWN EVER.

Now Leo (or JF), if I could ask for two minor adjustments:

The music in the back interfered with the interviews (ok you can call me deaf, but I remain firm in my statement)

And the other is I would love to hear more about those tires. When the guy was starting to explain and show how the tire works, you cut him.

  • No ads!

  • so is GTC becoming GT3 or not? i wanna see some more competition down there

  • I know I'm teasing when I say we're gonna cover this whole GT3 to the US thing in next week's SD.

  • @swingAE86 YAY!

  • No BS, just good insight into racing. Good stuff, I want more of this.

  • this is ONE HOT SHAKEDOWN

  • welcome back Leo. weve missed you :)

this has to be the best return productions ive ever seen. the content here is stellar guys, im glad Shakedown took a break to bring us this.

these teams are so professional that its astonishing.

  • great to have you back leo!! what do you think of F1 in texas next year?

  • Hey Leo, have you ever thought about covering a vintage race or a SCCA race? It might not be as high end as these ALMS cars, but it sure is more fun (opinion).

  • Good thought. More fun? ALMS more high-end? Not sure on either. But, worth the look. Vintage would be my 1st choice, however. Cars could be cooler. How they drove those things fast amazes me.

  • @LeoParente Well for vintage I guess that would depend, racing a pontoon ferrari and racing a March 83G are on totally different planets as far as price goes.

  • @LeoParente Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh, PA. Massive car show along with the premier course on the vintage circuit, totally open pits, and some amazing old cars. Definately a lot of fun. Free to the public and you can usually score a hot dog and drinks, too. Yeah, probably more fun.

  • Welcome back Leo, missed Shakedown

  • I'm so happy shakedown is back!

  • More awesomeness from Shakedown, thanks Leo!

  • ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION......

If there is only 1 cup of coffee left in the FLD coffee maker, who deserves it: Leo or Derich?

  • That's pretty cool, I wish you talked more about specific parts of the car like the center lock wheels, special brakes, the spoilers etc.. I liked your bit on the wing mirrors and exhaust heat outlets.

  • Time limited. But, how about this? The twin carbon pipes on top of engine [1:47in the vid] are the air conditioning inlets. The ducts in the rear window [1:03] are pressure relief for the A/C-pumped cabin!

The air ducts behind doors on sides are for brakes [the small ones] and for the rear-mounted A/C condenser + gearbox cooler [large ones].

Rules say tires have 2b covered from center-line up. Hence, the fender flare cuts. But the chopped-out bottoms also help pull air from w-wells.

  • leo is like 80 times better than derek in my opinion

  • No comparisons here. DD does things I can't.....and then some. Besides, no need to choose. Not like we're picking dates for a Jersey Shore weekend here, are we?

  • FastLaneDaily, Road Testament, and shakedown tell you everything you need to know in the automotive community. Welcome back Leo.

  • knocked it out the park guys, keep it up.

  • BMW FTW

  • What is 5.12??

  • It's a fixture put on each corner when doing setup. More precise vs the rubber tires. Look @ vid + see on floor 4 dots on each corner where car parks. Those are floor levels. The corner scales sit on dots. The fixtures sit on scales [car's jacked up in 5:12 scene]. The fixtures allow for consistent precision vs tires. Now, the setups / alignments are accurate.

  • This was actually interesting to watch :)

  • where did leo used to race?

  • @ratata90 watch?v=vRgE8-0efXw

  • @XSaenen thanks

  • @ratata90 Yea, thanks! Did the proverbial 'cup of coffee' in racing / started when I was 36 [too old] vs the young sperms! / Did 3 yrs + 2 partials / Up to FAtlantic. Had some success / didn't wank / but paid attention + absorbed all I could.

And the ONLY video evidence left is ME being a dick in a corner [a weak schumi block!] and air-mailing myself to the fan autograph session?? Where are the poles / podium finishes!! Ha. But, this is all I'm saying about my racing history. Topic closed.

  • Awsome! - All I can come up with now... just awsome! :O

  • man this is the best shakedown by far! great job Leo! keep up the great work!

  • Welcome back Leo, i enjoyed the interview and behind the scenes with the bmw team just please don't completely scrap the weekly overview of motor sport.

  • No worry. Back with the greenscreen WTF look at the news next week. Has anything been going on worth discussing? !!!

  • @LeoParente Well, there are Ferrari team orders, RBR driver shenanigans, brickyard 400, a few mototgp races...But wait a minute, you're supposed to be doing the news, not me! ;)

Great job on the episode. You should do on location segments more often. Have you guys thought about doing a monday segment to recap the weekend's news in addition to the friday "what to watch" segment?

  • @aemst Actually, a lot of times DD does racing news reports on Monday when it's big / timely stuff. Then, I fill in the backstories on Friday.

  • 100th!

  • "The correct answer is eleven!" classic

  • Welcome back Leo, great insight into what makes a race team work. Thanks!

  • Shakedown seems to be the best part of FLD now. Thank you for a good show and no long commercials. You da man Leo!!

  • welcome back Leo. love the show..

  • ok, you came back reloaded.... great episode!

  • good video leo

  • awesome show

  • OMG at 1:13 was that The Stig??? Why would you guys not put more emphasis on The Stig. Come on FLD get your priorities straight.

  • @moriad02 Let me warn u [and those 2 on next wk's Road Testament] I am NOT a car guy that lives / breathes / diefies all things TG. And that Fatt Marah on SmokingTire? He should stop trying to be JezzaUSA [not to mention stop using TopGear - and FLD - tags on his YT videos, when they are not!]. But, I digress!

We were there for the BMWs, not any Stigness. Besides, Anthony [Stig] Davidson is not that tall and was busy hitting Corvettes on-track + in the parking lots. So, that was not Stig

  • really like the credits and bloopers at the end much better than b4

  • Welcome back Leo! Glad to see my favorite segment back!

  • great!

  • best shakedown ever #LOL

  • I love GT2 racing! It's the best! Great Show!!!

  • Great comeback!
