He was a great guy! I worked on about a dozen Wendy's commercials before he passed away, and he was EXTREMELY humble and very generous.. The productions of these commercials spared no expense.. 99% of them were all in studio with huge sets.. I really miss this type of commercial..

I played for my 6th grade basketball team for which I usually rode the bench.But one night I scored more points than the rest of my team and the other team combined! This game took place after eating a Wendy's Triple Cheese Burger. My mother never took me back to Wendy's and I returned to the bench later in the season. Thanks Dave Thomas! A couple more burgers and maybe I would be in the NBA. lol
