@MrYonomequejo No, iCloud is just a BIG hard drive in the sky that you have use to sync all your iOS devices and back up your data. It is optional and you don't have to use it.

@JesseRoszko You can start using iCloud right now with iTunes on your iOS devices. iOS 5 will be available this Fall. I think Apple is delaying the release of iOS 5 in anticipation of an iPhone 5 announcement in the Fall as well.

iCloud!? WTF I already do that with my own server and Im sure many people do the same I just upload my Music, TV, Movies and photos and I can Access them anywhere through my Android Device. Apple comes up with the simplest ideas and get stupid people all exited for something that already exist!

@jesshurun iCloud is NOT a simple idea. Ask Amazon how long it took them to develop their cloud technology for their users. Do you have any idea the technology requirements necessary to develop iCloud? The networking protocols alone are extremely sophisticated. It is not as easy as installing a network drive to store your data.

@myapplezone To answer your quest, YES, Im a programer, developerm designer so I actually know, By The Way, I said it was a simple idea, I never said its was easy to develop but for those big companies they have huge development teams and trust me what they will be working on is not something out of the ordinary or like I said "develop a brand new tech never seen before.

i like the idea of iCloud.. not having to use diskspace on your device. BUT, first of all your data usage will rise BIGTIME, and battery life will also drop.

Its almost like using youtube all day long... But with having to pay for using it

@louwaars You make a good point but this implies that a user is choosing to stream their music from iCloud. I see iCloud as more of a syncing / backup service that will provide you with global access to your media (music, documents, etc). I don't think iCloud will replaced iTunes but will compliment iTunes by providing that global accessibility.

@myapplezone Sure, but I'm saying it like that because apple promotes it like that. As for now i can only image it being helpful if I'm at a friends house and i have wi-fi + a dock available.. Than it would be amazing, because i am the one with ALL the music in my library. And its all good because its yet another thing that makes apple devices so great. furthermore i would really like to see itunes making it easier to import all kinds of video formats into it. so i can have all my movies with me
