Anyone know if there's charts to these tunes? I'm trying play them with my college jazz band and the teacher wont let us do it without charts, he doesnt like everyone getting their own instrument by ear, and I dont have time to transcribe all the instruments on these tunes =(
If your teacher is a jazz teacher tell him to quit his job. Many of the greatest jazz artists were not even able to read sheet music. Tell him what jazz is about. Jazz is a language between the musicians, stepping out of the box and the norms. That is what jazz is about! "The worst thing you can do to a jazz musician, is to give him a sheet."
