@smertk I had to check it out and you are 100% right on. It's amazing how a great bass line can go virtually unnoticed, and yet be crucial. It was helpful for me to focus on the details of the bass- as a keyboard player I sometimes ruin my songs when I add bass lines (in multitrack projects). I'm finding that less is more, some (not all) of it has to be right on the downbeat, some repetition but timely variations in approaches, and some notes are better left unplayed. Thanks bud.
