I haven't played Super Metroid before, but this must be the most disturbing death in a 2d-game (if not any game) that I've seen, especially when you can actually see its flesh melting off, rather than just disappearing and that's in 16-bit which means limited graphics.

Anyone else notice that unlike every other boss, Crocomire ISN'T hostile? He actually sits there minding his own business, and doesn't attack until you shoot a freaking missile in his mouth. Man, Crocomire is the only boss in Super Metroid I actually felt sorry for..

It's so cool that Nintendo R&D put the final scene of Crocomire in the game- they could have ended it early with the boss simply dying, but they gave it polish by allowing the boss' bones to fall in a way that would scare any player into thinking the fight wasn't over.

In SM the orange suit is the Varia Suit

and then changes to Gravity suit as u play the game

In MF somehow Samus has the SM Varia suit and she got attacked by the X and the X copied that suit which made SA-X

Oh you are talking about ShineSparking, the only item required for that is the speed booster, if you hold R while you are flashing and you use the Shine you will jump diagonally

You know, this quite possibly be the best game I every played. There were SO many bad ass games that came out in the mid 90's. Im 27 now so this time frame 1994, 1995 brings back so many good memories of video games. However, this one sticks out a lot. Great gameplay. Great replayability and great music. Super Metroid....5/5! Anyone agree?

I am still aiming to be the best speedrunner on this game, and I know for a fact I can do it.
