GoPro cameras are great. The fisheye effect is too much for me though - the Hero 2 is supposed to narrow it a bit (or have something to set it to be narrower). I like having a more focused view of the cars in front of me (to better record plates if necessary). I bought the ZX5 with interchangeable FOV lenses when I was in the market. If it ever breaks on me though, the Hero 2 will more than likely be my next cam.
@NOVAdashcam yeah you can go into the settings and change the degree of sight. one day i need to just sit stationary and mess with all 3 to see the difference. sometimes you catch stuff with the wide angle lens you normally wouldnt with a straight sight camera. but sometimes straight ahead can be where the action is. only thing that sucked about this cam is i had to buy a separate holder so i could charge it while driving
sure is a big change! shows a nice angle! cant wait to see more vids with the gopro! oh and the car cutting you off bugs me, they see you and know they will have to slow but they just go on ahead! nice capture!
@t1sutton yeah thats basically what i did, bought a extra 16gb sdhc card. my computer can kinda play them, it just freezes and skips around a bit so im at least able to remove clips with nothing on them. my girlfriends computer can handle it so ill just do all the editing there
GoPro definitely amazed me with its quality. The picture is really clear it's really good for use as a dash cam. Luckily my computer can edit the footage still although barely so I am going to upgrade. Have fun with the GoPro mate looking forward to more footage with it.
@automotiveandgaming yea especially compared to my old dash cam. my girlfriends computer was made within th elast 10 years and can handle the hd so ill just mess with it over there
@machsad1 best christmas gift i got. only thing that sucks about it is its silver and shiny so i cant leave it up in my car. my old dash cam was black and looked like a radar detector
@fattpieceofcrap I bet. They are worth the money! I never leave any electronics in my car (in plain view). There have been to many break-ins around the area lately.
@DrivingandDashcam i never knew my computer sucked untill now lol. i think its from like 2004. anyways i can edit them on the girlfriends computer so ill just have to save clips in the camera til i go over there

I too discovered that my computer is too old to edit in HD lol. Have purchased an extra 4GB of memory so it should help me for now.
