I've figured out how Sonic turned into.....that. Eggman used the chaos emeralds right? And who was it that had the ability to use the chaos emeralds? By using the chaos emeralds to awaken Dark Gaia while Sonic was still Super Sonic. Sonic absorbed a piece of Dark Gaia (by accident) and the dark energy turned him into........that. Watch the ending and you'll know I'm right. In case some of you already knew this, then don't call me captain obvious please. -_-
