There is no unifying factor in religious teachings that expresses what is wrong and what is right. There are only unjustified claims of things that are wrong and right. I.E. All things that are morally bad should have at least one thing in common (that encompasses the essence of what makes them bad) and visa versa for all things that are good. Murder, rape and theft all involve deliberately harming others. Homosexuality does not.

I find that there are some problems with your logic, specifically the comparison between murder and homosexuality. On a purely human level, murder is an act that involves a murderer and a victim, while a consentual homosexual relationship has no more problems than the average straight relationship.
