How much would a desktop that can run WoW at highest settings cost? Right now I'm using a 2.1 ghz intel core duo 2 with 4GB of DDR3 ram laptop. And as we all know, 99% of laptops have crappy onboard graphics "cards".

@LeonardoSasuke At what FPS? if you are wanting 60 FPS, try around 600-800$. Also, DO NOT buy OEM's for gaming. Just build your own computer. GTS 450, and HD 6850 are good budget cards, that should run the game highest settings. For CPU, try a Athlon II quad core. They are 95-99$. If you want even better CPU, go with the Phenon II qaud core. Which is around 120-150$. Get 2-4 GB RAM, and a good size 7200RPM HDD. And you should be good.

@Desriklol While WoW does definetly have its own unique beauty, Blizzard still needs to perform some key graphical updates on the characters models, the animations, and the particle effects. I bet some player hesitate playing Vanilla races simply because they are graphically outdated compared to the races brought about by the expansions.

@Desriklol For it to be what you claim, they really need to up the poly count on... pretty much anything and everything. Particularly the original content. A lot of those trees for example were made without flying through/over them in mind and they do look very dodgy. And there's a multitude of other graphical laziness' in the game but can't be arsed to mention them. Anyone playing can see it. Good textures (in the xpacks) but still low poly count.

@Desriklol Lulz, it's graphics are just shiny sega genesis graphics. They put high quality features in a low quality game. The DX11 water effects makes the water look like jello. This godrays tech has been in mmos for a couple of years now, and in other games for even longer. WoW tends to get graphical updates after other mmos have. I think that they should do a SERIOUS texture update before they start putting more things that don't mix with WoW's base graphics.
