LOL Why do you think that this is a useless/pointless ending movie? You just have to connect the dots. She meets her elder one last time before engaging with Azazel, she enters the temple and it collapses. Why? I'm not sure, but it may be because after defeating Azazel she picks up the orb and it consumes her, giving her great power (look at what happened to the temple when Yoshimitsu picked up the orb). I'm not sure, but I don't think it's meaningless.
