they should have used these ppl for HZGG3 instead of a remake. leo ku/huang yi chemistry was zero to none... ma yili FAILS MISERABLY as zhou jie's ziwei... you can tell that zhou jie didnt have any on-screen chemistry with ma yili AT ALL as comapared to ruby lin!
@MimiXtinaChelleKRow And the crappiest thing of all abt HZGG3 I actually prefer that QL Zhi Hua than the annoying Betty Huang XYZ, & even with their extreme smooching scene I still feels Leo Ku has better chemistry with Zhi Hua & Betty Huang. Thank goodness Vicki Zhao & Alec Su refuse to do Hzgg3, so to me the original version of HZGG ends with HZGG2 while HZGG 3 is a totally different story which not related to the 1st 2 seasons of HZGG in any way.
@mambogal Totally agree. nobody can beat vicki's version. i was so mad when i found out that they are making a new one but after watching i thought it was not bad. Yet it can't beat the first one but it have its own taste. anywho, i agree that vicki's xyz were the best of the best and li sheng was alright and huang yi's version is a total crap.
@Yunnie1006 I agree especially considering most of Alec Su YQ & Vicki Zhao XYZ romantic moments & scene were given to Benjamin, Zhang Rui YQ & Lisheng XYZ really did a good job cos they still manage to portray being very much in love even with just whatever moments left to them, not to mention Benjamin was always there between the 2 even with their minimal romantic screen time
@Yunnie1006 I don't agree and I think that people are just used to the old cast. THey were lucky to get to play the characters first so they get the advantage over everyone else. That goes that way for EVERY series not just this one... By the way, I think Huang Yi did a great job but was not the first to play XYZ so people are just bias against her...
i'm only shipping the two cos of the original. honestly, i really don't like zhang rui. its a shame he got the role cos hes not as good as the original (alec su). im definitely shipping qing er and xiaojian more. goodness, their story seems so genuine! compared to yongqi and xyz, who don't even seem to be in love at all.
@peacie21 Frankly to me ZR did a good job as YQ.Sure he has different different from Alec but he still has his moment. I love Alec's YQ & his chemistry with ZW but as YQ the prince,1st line to the throne the former YQ didnt really have this autocratic airs abt him. He's a bit too humble & too kind for sumone who's born with silver spoon, whereby ZR YQ has it all, the airs, the arrogant, the tantrums, the mischief, so its fun to see the way he's bitting his toungue & pride to win XYZ's heart
