I liked this movie and recognized Bale's talent right away and have remembered him first for being the star of this film. Fuck the critics. They are all pussies who can't handle this intensity or the fact that there is thinking involved in this film. The world is filled with wimps and cowards. Scarface did not get the credit it deserved either but now is more popular than ever with the cult followings. It was legendary. No one cared about anything but money and status.

Leonardo Dicaprio was the first choice to play Patrick Bateman, thats hard to imagine, since Bale did so incredible...I wonder how it would of turned out. Still Amazing probably both are easily on anyones top 10 best actors, mostly top 5. Leonardo would of nailed that role though. I think Christian Bale was the perfect choice though.
