  • Best Thanksgiving PSA yet!

  • Thank you! Hope your holiday was ... meaningful?

  • I enjoyed this. Good job!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Good work.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you for your comment, but I do see a connection. For me, it's difficult going into any holiday with patriotic overtones and not think about the current situation. But, that might just be me ;^)

  • God help the conscientious Americans, who have to look on as their own country goes on the Big Bully Warmaker trail. One immediate suggestion: get rid of those vote-counting machines NOW!

  • Vote counting machines? That would be a great idea. What they've switched us to are just vote stealing machines. No paper trail, no receipt, just "trust" that the corporation that made the machine is on the level and the voter before you didn't plant a trojan virus. Grape Koolaid anybody?

  • Nice video, I only wish we had it here, I could do with another holiday ...:)

  • I know, we've got way too many holidays here. But, what can I say? Americans love to Par-Tay!

  • btw I forgot to say what a funky video you have made, almost looks professional ...!

  • Yaaaaaay! Good one.

  • Thank you, sir.

  • When Georgie was "elected" I hoped he would be mostly harmless. I was extremely angry about his stem cell decision during his first summer as president. I came the closest I've ever come to busting a television when Congress authorized him to take military action against Iraq. I was furious when he actually did invade Iraq. This is not the USA that I learned about when I was a kid in school!!!

  • The demise of democracy is this generations greatest shame. That we'd gladly give it away in exchange for a little bit of "security" has made all the rest just that much easier. But, like I said in the video, we can give thanks today for what little freedom we have left, then fight like hell to get the rest back. Have a good day.

  • Good post kenrg.

  • Thank you very much.

  • great questions!

and it is pretty clear that poLiticaLiersuck and need to be THROWN OUT ON THEIR ASSES asap!

enough of this crap people. how many of us is it going to take to surround the whitehouse, capitol and pentagon, in order to clean up the shit masquerading as "Leaders?"

when we do that, I'll be thankful.

    peACE.

  • Thanks for your comments & subscription!

  • I do think you're on to something there. I've always tried to live up to the rebellious spirit of Jefferson and firmly believe that questioning and pushing the government is our patriotic duty.

  • That was very thought provoking Kenrg! I am grateful and I am fighting and will not stop! I want our Constitution back! I want our country back out of the hands of the Federal Reserve and Central Banking! I wish that people fighting all around the world killing each other to just lay down their weapons, look each other in the eye saying, "I can't do this anymore", and embrace each other in peace...

  • Keep up the good fight, but don't forget to take a short break for turkey and stuffing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  • I have found taking breaks for turkey, giving thanks, friends, and family help to remember what I'm fighting for...:-) Hope you had a wonderful turkey day!

  • We did have a good time with my in-laws. Hope yours was good too. Take care.

  • Great video! For sure....please stop this senseless, stupid war and I will be Thankful...right now, I am not. I am Thankful however that Bushy Boy can't be re-elected. Bring our guys and gals back NOW!

  • Thank you - I agree with you completely.

  • Brilliant! Love how you build it up, perfect.

    Straight into my favs ;P

  • Thank you!

  • Excellent! Thank you!

    Peace

    now

  • Thank you - Have a peaceful holiday, sir.

  • Im thinkful for the Constitution, the document that defines out rights to be free, and im thankful for the only man running for President who will up hold and defend it.

Im thankful for Dr. Ron Paul!

  • The Constitution? What a great idea - it's a pitty the current administration hasn't had a chance to brush up on it yet.

  • BRAVO!!! I loved it, the pictures were worth a thousand words each so you said so much by saying so little. Brilliant!

  • Thank you - Glad you got so much out of it. Have a very good one.

  • HEADLINE: TURKEY CRIES FOWL. When will the slaughter stop?

  • And what about all that poor tofu being molded into bird-like forms just to please somebody's visual sense of what a holiday dinner should look like? Atrocities all around.

  • I think Thanksgiving is our most emotionally complicated holiday. Lots to be thankful for, lots of mistakes, lots of horrors that we recall through the holiday's imagery (those natives didn't fare so well). Nothing's simple anymore.

  • I don't know if it was ever simple, we were just better at believing it was.

Have a very good Thanksgiving, complications and all.

  • I do too! But I don't think it's a conscious act of pretending everything is o.k., but it seems as though I've been "deadened" emotionally and you feel as though there's nothing you can do but ride out the storm. Maybe I try not to think about it, because everything seems like its so messed up....I don't know Ken! But it's a thought provoking video and a "reverie buster" so to speak!

  • Reverie is fine - But not the exclusion of serious thought. A balance, as in all things, must be found. And, yes, I totally agree on the burn-out and deadening effect of the world situation at this time. But, let's each try to have a good holiday tomorrow anyway ;^)

  • Short, but powerful... very well done. Happy Thanksgiving, Ken (no matter what it may mean).

  • Thank you, and a happy whatever holiday it may or may not be to you as well.

  • love for everybody everywhere......great vid..

who's the mix by......HAPPY THANKS AND KEEP ON

    GIVING flashback

  • Thank you, and a happy holiday to you.

I did the mix in GarageBand using Apple's standard loops package. Thanks for asking!

  • good job enjoyed the music mix

  • Thanksgiving does not exist in germany. So for me the only difference will be either more or less videos from you guys - depending on how you spend your holiday :)

  • I doubt I'll be having much time for making (or viewing) videos over the next few days. But I'll be sure to dedicate all of next week to catching up ;^)

  • Nooo! Save some time for the lovely people that come to visit you next week ;-)

  • Well... only if it's YouTube related, how's that?

  • ok, sounds good!

  • Will Uncle Joe Bile be joining the family at the table??

  • No, he eats out in the garage with the pets.

  • Great video Ken

Wish you all a happy "we subjugated the natives and stole their land" holiday. Enjoy.

    No offense :-)

  • No offense taken, although that designation is usually reserved for Columbus Day ;^)

  • LOL!

  • Thank you. Yeah, there's one or two there that gave me the chills too. But looking away doesn't change anything. Take care.

  • I thought you might agree. Have a good one, my friend.

  • It's too late for impeachment (besides, we'd have to start with Cheney) - Let's just concentrate on finding a decent choice for November 2008.

BTW: I can get pretty bloated from too many cooked vegies too ;^)

  • Just try eating half a plateful of brussels sprouts and see what THAT does for ya! ;)

  • Thoughtful video. I think you grab the watcher with a common question, and then get them to think a little deeper.

I like thanksgiving, because for me it's a time to gather with my famly and friends. I don't see it as political or religious. I also love that it's on a Thursday. It makes it a 4 day weekend. Hooray.

  • I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody who objects to four day weekends ;^)

    Thanks for watching!

  • The superficial side of me would say I think about football on Thanksgiving. But when I get deeper and think about it, it means all of those things that you presented. Thanks for the slap upsides'me head, kenrg!

  • Thank you, and have a great holiday.

  • Although we don't celebrate thanksgiving in this part of the world, I wish you a happy one. Anyeong!

  • Thank you - And a wonderful holiday season to you as well.

  • Mr. Kenrg, sir, your video making rules! Proof that still imagery and text can hit home way quicker than motion videography.

  • Thank you! It's a slight departure for me, but I'm glad it worked.

  • A very good message, Ken.

  • Thank you very much.

  • arrrghh!!!

  • !!!!!

  • Well said. I agree with all that you have said. I just feel aggrieved that the Western powers have been duped by some idiot into believing this nonsense. How many more bodybags will it take before this calamity is stopped?

  • I wish I knew the answer to your question. Too many is the only accurate thing I can say. Thank you, and be well.

  • Very well said, and well summed up.

  • Thank you - Have a wonderful holiday.

  • Very good video! Thanksgiving to me means:

-Fuck, it's that time of the year again!!!

  • LOL! I have only been reminded of the occasion because of all the damn YouTube videos! I was blissfully ingnorant here in my euro-bubble.

However, the kenrg channel has successfully reminded me how pissed off I am! :\

  • If I can just anger one person, then I've done my job ;^)

  • That goes for just about any holiday. I much prefer seeing family when we want to see each other, not when we're expected to see each other. It's all kind of fake. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Thank you, Ken. Well said. Wishing you and yours a meaningful Thanksgiving day...

    -dan'l

  • Thank you, and the same for your clan over there.

  • I share your anger.

And for me its the big weird duck event all my american friends celebrate and no one else I know cares about(:

  • Big weird duck? Oh, you're talking about Cheney, right?

    Have a great week.

  • Great video, great message but why am I hungry now ;)

  • When I throw a revolution, there'll be plenty of yummy things to eat. You can't change the world on an empty stomach, you know. Thanks!

  • I'm thankful Bush hasn't started WWIII yet. Wait did I say yet?

  • He didn't? I thought it had started smoldering for quite a while now and was only waiting for the embers to hit the powder kegs.

  • Don't worry, he's still got a full fourteen months to complete his to-do list.

  • Bush's To Do List

1.Figure a way to make money with my knowledge of selling oil. Check!

2.Say mission accomplished on a boat. Check!

3.Separate colors with whites. (Clothes not people) Check!

4.Become next Hitler. (Must do soon.)

  • O-H

(I saw the script Ohio and had to try)

  • I always expect a lot from your videos, and I admit that about halfway through I had *?whuh?* floating above my head. But then the kenrg bite bit and I am once again a satisfied viewer. Keep up the polemic!

  • Thanks, glad I could come through for you ;^)

  • Powerful stuff there, Ken. Thanks for the reminder that there is more to the day than just overindulgence and planning a 'black friday' assault.

    :)

  • Not that there's anything wrong with overindulgence ;^)

    Have a great holiday.

  • Turkey and stuffing and sweet potatoes and cranberries and radical political discussions - all the traditional stuff (for my family, at least). Enjoy & thank you!

  • I think, at this time in history, the turkey is a good metaphor for the Constitution. This administration has cooked it, carved it, and served it up--and far too many people are happy to eat it up and take a nap.

    Great video from Channel Kenrg!

  • Excellent commentary - I may just have to repeat your analysis over dinner on Thursday and share your wisdom with my in-laws. Thank you!

  • I hope your in-laws will be in agreement...hate to see a family feud before the pie gets served.

Best wishes for the holiday to you and your family, from me and mine!

  • There will be agreement, I'm sure. I will not be the most radical or left-leaning person at the table.

  • That's a great point Mark! Happy Thanksgiving.

Yeah, since I didn't post a video tonight, I thought i'd start replying to comments on OTHER ppl's videos! :)

  • For the love of all that is good and holy, learn to spell it correctly!! F-r-o-s-t-y

    Happy T-day, G!

  • Sorry M-a-r-c.

    :)

Have a good holiday too Frosty!

  • excellent analogy, Frosty...anything I could add would just be fowl language.

  • Thanks...I like to give the pres "the bird" whenever he pops up on my tv...

  • That was an extraordinarily, majorly, and totally righteous vid! I know I have a small channel, but I will feature it, fav it. Everyone should! Excellent commentary!

  • Thank you - And have a great holiday with your family.

  • hi from canada and happy thanksgiving.

    bonnie

  • I may be joining you up there before too long - Thanks!

  • 00:41 --> that's really a beautiful picture!

  • Thanks - Did it feel reflective? :^)

  • Brilliant commentary!! I loved this message. I think we all should be made as hell and not take it anymore.

And--Thanksgiving to me is about family.

    :)

  • Thank you, sir. Get the whole family mad as hell! Make them watch my video ;^)

  • We'll be watching the Green Bay Packers.

    :P

  • Yay, "90 seconds hate" with kenrg! *scnr*

  • Its easier to keep your head burried in the sand, rather than to make noise....

  • I've always preferred being loud to being sandy. Thanks for commenting!

  • I love turkey

  • ... with lots of crispy skin, yum!

  • Pheww! Now I'm all worn out from your video! I'm taking a nap!

  • Imagine if I'd rambled on for three minutes! You'll be taking many more naps after the triptophan (sp?) in the turkey hits you on Thursday... Thanks for stopping by!

  • My usual snappy comment just isn't appropriate this time out.

Wow. You just knocked me out of a very self centered state of mind just now.

    Seriously.

Glad I landed here just now.

  • Thank you, my friend. Snappiness not always required.

  • It's all about family, friends, and food for me! Happy Thanksgiving! :=)

  • Food, without question. It's the fight over football vs. parades that's the big issue ;^)

  • : )

Short, catchy, and a good message!

We don't have thanksgiving here, so I can't answer your first question.

With the ending: very much agreed.

  • Thank you - And have a good week, holiday or not ;^)
