  • I keep getting wayyy more stitches than you, but I'm doing the exact same thing you are! Ahhh help?

  • @GilbertsGirl09 It may be an inconsistency of tension? How long have you been crocheting?

  • I do not know why the video is not advancing along with the voice, in additon it is darker than any others?

  • @jrye4789 I just checked and the video is playing normal. Try refreshing your browser and see if that works.

  • What a Great Video very easy to follow . Thank You

  • @delica456 You are welcome.

  • abuker64 whats the tiny star mean in crocheting?

  • I was wondering if you have a printer friendly version of the written directions. Thanks so much.

  • @violah50 There is a link to my crochet blog in the video details below the video.

  • nice

  • I'm a size 7 1/2 I'm 13 should I use a size h hook or a g ?

  • @sammiesoJUICYY Your crochet style is going to be different than mine. The yarn you use may be different as well so you will have to pick a hook and crochet. You should be able to tell at the beginning if it is working up to tight or to loose. If that happens, you may need to adjust your hook size.

  • Teresa I have been making these slippers, but cannot find the written instructions any more.....please help

  • @bdrabbit1000 The link is in the video details below the video.

  • I love it "amazing " wow

  • why was this in my recomended videos when I was watching anime?

  • I'll be plumb stunned if I ever manage to make a cuff like that

  • @greenpilgrim50 I just bet if you keep practicing you will be able to make a cuff like that.

  • i made a sock ! im now making the second one. thanks for the tutorial

  • @patrickchic You are welcome.

  • I'm sure it's just me but I find your videos very hard to follow. I guess they are meant for those more on an intermediate level. I've been crocheting for about a month in a half.

  • @lytanner1 Some tutorials may be more advanced. I will send you a playlist for the beginner stitches. I have a second channel where a lot of tutorials are done in very slow motion.

  • @tjw1963 I actually found another tutorial for crocheting slippers and was able to follow it pretty well. I made a pair for my mother-in-law last week. I appreciate you sending me the play list and I will definitely check out the tutorials.

  • Thank you for this!

I have really wide feet. Will this be wide enough or should I increase more?

  • I bought a book and was trying to make socks but I was having trouble so I stopped. Do you have a video for regular socks, made with the sock yarn. Thank you for all of your videos.

  • Written instructions make NO sense....at all!

  • excellent!!!!!!! I didn't have the Tunisian Knit Stitch...so I will either leave it without a cuff or get creative with my other crochet hooks!!! Thank you so much for the tutorial....my slipper came out purrrr-fect!!!! Great GREAT lesson!!!! All the best!!!! Where can I send you a picture of my slipper?

  • @Supazanii I used the same hook and just made a ribbed stitch cuff and sewed it on. I have a Tunisian hook, I just don't like it for some reason, so I got creative and used my H hook, and did a ribbed stitch! It came out really cute!

  • i had to turn my slipper inside out to make the last slip knot on the inside. is that bad?

  • Please Help

  • Ive attempted to make these slippers three time but ever time I always end up with three extra stitches before I even make it to row three I have no clue where the extra stitches are coming from

  • @AyameKiri I have been having the same problem.

  • how would i make a child sized slipper?

  • Thank you Teresa! I'm loving the fit of these slippers. I'm planning on making many more for family and friends. Such a quick crochet :-D

  • Great Video, Thanks for the Upload.. Can not wait to get started on this :D yay!

  • hi how do i make these for adult size 4 i have really small feet :)

how many rows? hook size and im using double knit wool think its 3ply

not sure only been crocheting for 2 months

  • Excellent video! Thank you for the many great teaching videos you've posted.

Teresa, if you have the chance, could you show how to make socks out of baby yarn? Thanks again for all you do. You've helped me learn how to crochet.

  • Bingo, Im hoping I get a pair on or preferably before xmas so I can wear them to the raves that I go to? x

  • Would size 'J' work for someone with size 8 or 8.5 feet? I'm new 2 crocheting

  • what about other size? 7.5-8 and 8-9? <3 this ch! thanks!

  • @jmateo05 The easiest way is to use a smaller crochet hook to make the slipper smaller.

  • I'm not seeing where you give the yarn quantity needed for these adult slippers. Can you tell me the approx. yards/skeins of yarn needed? Thank you. I want to make a few pair for Christmas "stocking" stuffers :-D Thank you Teresa!!!

  • @BMGroulx One skein of yarn with 300 yards should be enough

  • The best way to make sock ever! thank you sooooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhhh :D

  • @kdmika You are welcome.

  • could you please make a video doing a mens pair 11-12?

  • i LOVE YOU CHANNEL!!! THANKS TO YOU..NOW IM A PRO..(KINDA) I ENJOY CROCHETING WITH YOU!!

  • @gadeesch So kind of you , thank you. :)

  • is there any way to make these non-skid? i thought about putting dots of puffy paint on the bottom, but i wanted to check if anyone else knew a way before i ruin my slipper if that doesn't work.

  • @ashlinzmama 3M makes some anti skid tape that you could put on the bottom of your slippers. You might have to replace it each time you wash the slippers since they would not wash well.

  • so far ive made those amazing mittens in another video and decided to make some matching socks, thank you so much for making these vids, i would never have learned how to crochet if it wasnt for you :)

  • @daisykiller01 Keep up the good work, I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • I just wanted to say thank you for doing your videos. I have learned so much from you. I love how you go step by step and you do not get in a hurry to show the steps. Again thank you!

  • dear teresa,i like your video,s en they are verry helpfull.

i made so many thinks already!

    thanks!! Wil /holland

  • For the Cuff, I know how to tunasian crochet but I don't have the long hooks to do longer sitches. Could I single crochet around the cuff to make it?

  • pls make a video for simply slate slippers of francine toukou if its posible . :))))))))))))))))

  • Do you have a video on how to make socks? A really stretchy type so it fits any size of feet....

  • do you have a pattern like this for kids???

  • This video was so helpful! Thank you so much for posting this up! The slippers came out great!

  • i'm starting to make slipper socks for friends and family this xmas and i was wondering something...how do you get the right size for each person? is there a website that can tell me how many stitches go for each different size? (i know how funny it sounds but thats the best way i can say it lol)

  • Teresa, is there any chance that you could put up a video on crocheting socks, that you can wear with shoes? I see lots of things on knitting socks, but not on crocheting. I have completely taught myself to crochet by watching your videos. You are the best and when people ask me for help, I give them your website and tell them to watch your videos!

  • Wow this is unbelievable! I am trying to teach myself to crochet and I am having a really hard time finding tutorials that show good visuals of the hands, yarn and hook. Do you have any suggestions, or any videos for very very beginning beginners?

  • thanks you sooooooo much this is great

  • @ducttapelover4998 You are welcome! It is that time of year to get ready for winter.

  • Thank you sooo much! You make great how-to(s)!

  • You are an awesome instructor. Thank you so much for your videos.

  • I'm using a size N (9 mm) hook for a size 71/2 slipper. Is that alright? I've just done the 7th row after the first marker, and, to me, it look like it's turning into a hat based off the size so far.. I'll keep following the instructions, but I just want to ask if I'm still doing this right.

  • I have a size H/8 hook (5 mm). Would that work?

  • i used a size n crochet hook and used fuzzy purple yawn and it came out great!

  • @mrsowens0515 They sound really nice!

  • would a size K be big enough for a size 9 going to make them for someone in a crochet group I am in

  • @specialCraftsandmore It should be plenty big

  • My great-grandmother will love these! I used a soft yarn and they came out great :) Thanks!

  • @pandagirl4561 You are welcome! :)

  • Thanks so much for this video!! I've been making blankets for years but never knew how to make anything else. When I decided to make slippers, this was the only video that actually shows how to do it! I couldn't understand any of the written patterns. I've now made two pairs and my kids want some too!!

  • do you have a video for mens slippers or a pattern the foot 14

  • how do you make it smaller for a size 7 foot

  • @1013mommy The simple way to make a crochet piece smaller is to use a smaller crochet hook. If that is not enough, you will use less stitches at the beginning, which will make a smaller slipper. You will work less rounds.

  • thanks for your help in crocheting slippers. My 1st try turned out decent. I have tried crocheting slippers by following several different patterns from books & print outs, but they were so hard for a beginner (me) to follow & I gave up. Your video was so much better. Some parts I couldn't figure..but maybe w/practice....Many thanks a fan in Boise

  • Hello to everyone. I am in Australia and I just want to thank you Teresa. Until now I could never crochet anything else but a square granny blanket. But now is a different story. You have helped me, Thankyou. You are teaching me alot. It's just a shame I can't make you a coffee to have together while we are crocheting.

  • Have you created a pattern for adult mary jane slippers? I'd really be interested in some of those.

  • Thank you so much for this video. Just finished a pair of slippers and they fit just perfect..... as I have a big foot too.Had a little problem getting both feet the same though one is a little tighter then the other but only I know that Ha ha . Added a fluffy ball on the top and they look great! Thanks again.

  • man this is soo hard! i've never crochet like this but pause rewind pause rewind has become my friend lol.

  • Hi,Tereza. Thanks for sharing with us in a so detailed way, instructions and designs. I have already made experiments with the slippers. I have already made a pair for my husband. Would it be ok with you to make some vids for ladies and girls with some several and different crochet projects in my language? Projects that have helped me to be inspired? Thanks.

  • @Yanna131094 Thank you, I appreciate the comment.

  • wow!! teresa! you are the best doing crochet and explaning!!!

  • @mariposazull Thank you!

  • Teresa, I enjoyed watching your video from start to finish, to see how a slipper takes shape, you have improved my crocheting so much, I want to attempt to make the slippers, I wasn't reallysure where to make adjustments for a smaller foot.Your slippers look like they fit you perfectly. Could you clarify please? Thank You.

  • @craftyladydi The easiest way is to use a smaller crochet hook. If that is not enough, the video and the written instructions point out where to make adjustments.

  • Just wondering if you do anything different to make these in a kids size, like a 1 for my 6 yr old.....i can only seem to find babie socks and adult but none his size... please help!!

  • Hello just a quick question..do you do anything different to make this in a kids size....like a one for my 6 yr old....please let me know i cant seem to find patterns on here in his size..only in babies and adults it seems

  • You are probably right. I had a lot of problems with Verizon internet service this past year. I still keep looking for your instruction videos. They are great. You are great at knitting and crochet. thanks for your help.

  • my computer is 3 yrs old.

  • your videos are great. I have a lot of trouble downloading them. My computer

    freezes up. Thanks for sharing.

  • @LoriBlue1 How old is your computer?

  • @LoriBlue1 Your Internet Service Provider may be the cause.

  • I am having a hard time decreasing :( suggestions.

  • I have question: How far do th 17 rounds take you up your foot? I kept tying mine on to see how far it went, but I have no reference of how to gauge where I should be, or if I should do more rounds before continuing to the heel and the increase for the instep.

  • طريقة سهلة التنفيذ شكرا

  • @omyassien7 اهلا وسهلا بكم! إنني أقدر تعليق.

  • Thank you so much for your videos! I really enjoy them. I was wondering of you could please advise me as to how adjust the pattern for super bulky weight yarn? Using an N hook. Thank you!

  • @TaviaShadowstar You will use less increase stitches since the yarn will make the slipper larger. The whole pattern is going to need modified and there will be trial and error.

  • Wow... this is such a great pattern... have you ever tried using a wired brush and making it fuzzy looking? I had done it and its real cute :) plus they are very comfertable to wear.. thank you for sharing this video... it really helps beause i am just a beginner and they turned out perfect :)

  • @coolhay11 Just brushing the slipper? My concern would be that it may fall apart.

  • Wonderful video! Ive made two slippers now using your tutorial...I used pomp a doodle for the cuffs...these are going to be a cute x-mas present for my sister..Thanks so much! :)

  • this is a grate christmas gift for my mom... i think she will love it

  • Thank you for providing such detailed and in-depth videos on crocheting.

Showing the projects in their entirety, from *start-to-finish" makes learning SO MUCH easier!! It really does make a world of difference to those of us who are either just learning, or need to see that *extra* step ;-D

For those who find your videos too redundant... Perhaps they can fast forward to the end, so they don't have to watch them in their entirety. That way your videos would be a win-win situation for everybod

  • @maltesergr8 That is a great suggestion for a comment that I missed! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

  • Managed to figure out the problem and was able to get around it. Thanks so much video and advice!

  • Thank you! It's about time for me to crochet slippers instead of buying! ^_^;

  • I am sure many of us are on rural satelite services. Could you all please just show a couple examples, pause the video and skip to finished that row, then resume. It uses up our allotted time and we are unable to finish watching the projects if we view more than 2 videos per day. PLEASE cut out the redundant stuff and get to next steps. Thank you so much..PLEASE pass on to others who do craft projects when available.

  • @cdw518 When I started doing the crochet videos, the majority made it clear that they wanted longer videos!

  • I am having an issue, I have gotten through to round 3 and when you stop increasing, I suddenly need more than the 22 stitches to complete the round, I have restarted multiple times and it continues to do the same, I am so lost as to what I am doing wrong.

  • Can you give us a lesson on how to crochet a pillowcase and a dress? the dress is for my 16th birthday. Thanks!

  • us*

  • Dear tjw1963,please can u give as a tutorial for Leg Warmers,thank u so much :)

  • Have no means of doing a video at the moment, but I'll try to still crochet it and see if it turns well. Thanks so much for the support!

  • For rows 25 to 35, am I suppose to SC the sides next to the yarn markers of the open 9 SC? Or just leave those alone and do the bottom 19 SC only?

  • @Etnaese You are working on the bottom section of the slipper. The written instructions are posted on my crochet blog. The link is in the video details below the video.

  • @tjw1963

I'm at the part where I added a few SC next to my yarn marker like done in the video around Row 25 to make even for the 9 open stictches. For the following rows, am I to ignore those small sides or include them for Rows 26-35? I noticed yours didn't have the "mini" sides like I'm having, and I fear I did a mistake for adding them.

    Thanks for helping!

  • @Etnaese I'm sorry but I do not know what mini sides you are talking about. You may have to redo that section if you feel there is an error.

  • @tjw1963

Its 12:40 in the video where I did a few SC to make it more even there. On 16:20 Its looking like mine is higher up then that near the yarn marker, probably because I have extra stitches I didn't catch. I'll see if I can get a video response, ASAP.

  • @Etnaese You are welcome to post a video response. That way I can see what may be going on.

  • @tjw1963 Hi Terisa. I was wondering if you had a video on how to crochet a vest, or maybe if it could be possible you made one if you know how. That would be great. Nobody is showing a step by step video :( Thank you very much, btw, I learnt how to make earings, so thanks. Bye, Mary Xmas!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Your such a gift !! as always, thank you for your wonderful direction. Blessings.

  • This is so easy. How would change it to a size 7.5-8.5? Thanks again.

  • @HenryLover58 The easiest way to make it smaller is to use a smaller crochet hook.

  • This so easy to do -- how could i make them for a women's size 7.5 to 8.5?

  • What is a recommended size hook for a size 11 foot?

  • i had a question.... i think it would be really cool to make them kinda like boots... how would i add the top higher??

  • I absolutely LOVE your videos! I'm always looking for new stitches or cute projects and never have problems finding them through you. Keep up the good work

  • @11moonmi Thank you, I appreciate the comment.

  • hi. if i were to make size 4 slippers then how many chains should i start with?

  • @aishstays I would suggest that you use a smaller crochet hook, which is the easiest way make your project smaller.

  • omg thank you so much for putting this up. i am 20 years old and i am just learning how to crochet slippers ^^ I LOVE IT!!!!!!! THANK YOU. ^.^

  • @kedto12323 You are welcome. :)

  • @sosweetlittlegirl99 The slipper would be much larger.

  • I wish I knew what a foundation stitch was

  • @Ghostnightshadows You can work the chain to start. The foundation stitch is one technique. The written instructions are posted on my crochet blog. The link is in the video details below the video.

  • Thank you so much! My brother in law loves socks, so I wanted to make him socks! Thank you! This pattern was well explained!

  • @MommaFairy28 Thank you.

  • it would really help if you explained step by step instead of doing some then talking about what you just did

  • @maryann7777777 It is step by step and each round is noted and can be matched to the written instructions.

  • no idea where to begin teresa...YOUR teaching is totally amazing...I have spent the entire day viewing all your videos...

having said that...I am an avid award winning crocheter for almost 50 years and I totally show you homage praise and all accolades for your work...WTG...I for one will be eternally grateful for your videos...

  • luvscrbbl are u forgeting to chain 1 before your row?

  • Question, pls? I'm new at crochet, when crochet with J size & using any type of st., the first side is always good, when I continue to add a row, my stitches get shorter, no equal sides. What am I doing wrong? love your videos, excellent!
