  • nice info, use a board

  • Pretty rubbish. How hard would it of been to use some diagrams.

  • @andyheard The videos are intended and described in most and on the channel as if you are being coached 1-on-1. So, sometimes I don't use text or diagrams. I do however, appreciate your comment and right to do so, but it would help others if you have specifics. We might all learn something.

  • Good info

  • Thanks Marc Great tips a deep subject ,and a foundational movement that we can all improve on. its all about progress.Assesment in a mirror or video simple idea you see mirrors in most dance studios so thats where ill start (ive got the groove)

    Thanks Rich

  • @ultrafirepower Thanks Rich...much appreciated!

  • it would be a good idea show what your talking about, instead of just talking about it.

  • @ajamico If you read the channel descriptions you will note the videos (mostly) are to be viewed as if I am coaching you 1-on-1. Sometimes I will put in examples, but try listening as if I am talking to you. Sorry, if that's not what you're looking for and some videos in the future will contain more demonstration, but the point is to be coached as I have done for 25 years.

  • The things you talked about, foot position, knee movement, foot movement are not conscious movements. Focusing on technique to correct these issues futile. Though as you said footbeds or orthotics and proper cleat fitting can easily correct these issues. There have been several studies that show an average 4-10% increase in power by using custom orthotics or properly fitted footbeds. This can also drastically lower your risk of knee, hip and back problems while increasing your overall comfort.

  • Coaching is a global application of many elements. All of my work includes the assessment of movement, flexibility, strength and providing corrective exercises and or treatments such as inserts.

So, unless these other aspects are considered no fit, technique advise or an orthotic will improve performance alone.

I would never focus upon technique without first conducting an assessment.

    Thank you for your comments.

  • Agreed, everything needs to be considered. Fit, technique, strength, flexibility. No one area is a fix all.

    Thanks Marc!

  • thanks

  • What if I can't find a microwave on my ride?

  • In the United States there are convenience stores in just about every neighborhood...they'll have a microwave...though they may not want to let you put the inserts in...

    Good luck :-)

  • Thanks for the advices coach.

  • great video, keep up the good job

  • You're great coach... However bliss is right, english is not my mother language and I ignore some of the names of the body-parts. Some graphics would do the job completely perfect!!(however I do rated it 5) Congrats!!

  • Thanks for watching and your comments.

  • thanks for your work on these videos. i would find them more helpful if you somehow had graphics... like diagrams that showed the shoe, pedal, crank, leg and knee positions and where each should be relative to one another at a specific point during the pedal stroke. this would support (and make more clear) what you're saying. some of us respond to visuals more than words. keep up the good work though

  • Thank you Bliss303. As I move forward I'll try to keep this in mind. Much appreciated.
