Your laws only count if you can enforce them. The South couldn't enforce squat. It was foolish to think the Southern forces could defeat the northen states with mostly nothing.
You kinda don't know what your talking about. Lincoln declared war because it was legal against rebels for whatever reason. People in the South really need to get that burr from underneath their saddles. All of these states were obligated to remain in the Republic when the Articles of Confederation DIDN'T work out. As a southerner I can only say that the foolishness is live and well. Come out of your hidey hole and help us stop all threats against the US.
I kinda do know what I'm talking about, Lincoln had no right to declare war, that's congresses job, so the so called Civil war was an illegal war to start with. The south was not obligated to stay in the union, it was put in the constitution that should a government become to powerful, and step on our right, we have the right to leave. I know that History is only a fun thing to talk about, I'm joining the marines to help stop against today's threats
yeah and the north had every right to reestablish the union you know most northerners as you call us dont care about the cival war or yankee or rebels most of us moved on unlike you inbred swine
Really, white lightng, really??? Name me one freedom that you have lost, one thing you can't do now that you used to be able to do because of our president. Please. Barack Obama is proof that this great country works. This memorial is honoring the end of the civil war, and the beginning of freedom for slaves in America, and you're talking about us losing OUR freedoms? I'm sure Abraham Lincoln would be proud to see a black man in the White House today. Even if he isn't, I am. And I am a Patriot.
Abraham Lincoln hated black folks and supported laws that banned them from settling in illinois. If lincolns war was really over slavery he wouldnt have waited 2 years after the beginning to free them and he woulda freed all the slaves but instead he proclaimed slavery banned in the south and the west while leaving it still legal in the north.
I'm surprised this song hasn't been declared "politically incorrect". The anti Christians wants to take God and Christ out of everything. This country was founded on Christian principles. Our lawmakers seem to have somehow forgotten this.I see the hypocritical elected officials today, not giving a damn about us.I see deceit to win popularity contests while chasing their Gods of greed and power.
i'm atheist myself but if someone finds any kind of support, strength or any kind of supply in religion, he or she should have the right to just sing about it.
803 I know nothing of this "civilian slaughter" you speak of. What are your references? I was speaking of the words in the song. Also about the ones who want to take God out of everything.
We declare that the truth of the war be told now by the Yankee Congress. It should be told on National TV.We will never give up state rights...commies will die. We will resist the NWO and any tyrannical government. We will defend freedom to the end and the meaning of The Constitution and our own State constitutions.Resist the lies spread by congress.
On the day the statue was dedicated Mayor Kent expressed the feelings of the City regarding the memorial
I-may in your name truly declare to the world that we erect and donate it in no spirit of sectional pride or vain glory, but as a merited tribute to those of out sons who took up the sword, inspired by just and patriotic motives in a just and patriotic cause.
The Maryland 5th Regiment Decorated this Memorial on June 17th, 1875. The men who actually fought the war had some respect for the sacrifices made on both sides. If you do a search on Battle of Bunker Hill Civil War you will be able to see a picture of this as well as other documents from the original dedication. "A House divided cannot stand."

NOT a Libertarian. And quit the Ayn Rand references. Paul is a capital R Republican, and is an opportunist, isolationist xenophobe and could not find success in the Libertarian party. I have also read Atlas Shrugged. Paul bears more resemblance to Cuffy Meigs than John Galt.
Yes he is are you stupid I have read everything from Aristotle to Ayn Rand RP is the real deal and the first true statesman we have had for many years. Ayn Rand was almost right but was missing one important ingrediant, remember she was an atheist. Seek the truth and you shall find!!!
Fuck that man. The song is beautiful. Its a part of history, just like dixieland, an equally beautiful song. Look at the one on my profile and think about what the song means when you see the pictures.
I can't consider this song an affront to God when the underlying cause of the Civil War was to free millions of black people from unjust bondage (I'm white, BTW). Few wars in history have been fought for just reasons, but the Union's side of the civil war is certainly the rare exception.

The lyrics to this song are the most evil, anti-Christian trash to ever be penned. It is a paen to killing for God and to make the cause of men equal or better to the cause of the Almighty. Disgusting.
Study your history pardner. Every army prays to their Diety to beat the enemy. Patton ordered his Chaplain to write a prayer for good weather to advance on the Germans. It's great song, nicely done.
I wish i'd seen some respectful re-enactors. It's they who keep the remembrance of war going long after it ceases, not the modern robots who merely wear a diferent uniform for a day.
Don't understand your comments, you must have been watching a different video. The men in Civil War uniform are members of the Sons of Union Veterans who were very respectful. Color Guards include active duty Navy, Korean War Veterans, Jr ROTC, and Young Marines all very respectful volunteers for the day. As a matter of fact the entire ceremony was conducted by volunteers.
god bless this country.

Death is only evil when it is directed at the good and at the innocent. It is positively Godly when it is directed at cold-blooded killers.
