You kinda don't know what your talking about. Lincoln declared war because it was legal against rebels for whatever reason. People in the South really need to get that burr from underneath their saddles. All of these states were obligated to remain in the Republic when the Articles of Confederation DIDN'T work out. I kinda do know what I'm talking about, Lincoln had no right to declare war, that's congresses job, so the so called Civil war was an illegal war to start with. The south was not obligated to stay in the union, it was put in the constitution that should a government become to powerful, and step on our right, we have the right to leave. Abraham Lincoln hated black folks and supported laws that banned them from settling in illinois. If lincolns war was really over slavery he wouldnt have waited 2 years after the beginning to free them and he woulda freed all the slaves but instead he proclaimed slavery banned in the south and the west while leaving it still legal in the north.

The Maryland 5th Regiment Decorated this Memorial on June 17th, 1875. The men who actually fought the war had some respect for the sacrifices made on both sides. If you do a search on Battle of Bunker Hill Civil War you will be able to see a picture of this as well as other documents from the original dedication. "A House divided cannot stand."

I can't consider this song an affront to God when the underlying cause of the Civil War was to free millions of black people from unjust bondage (I'm white, BTW). Few wars in history have been fought for just reasons, but the Union's side of the civil war is certainly the rare exception.

Don't understand your comments, you must have been watching a different video. The men in Civil War uniform are members of the Sons of Union Veterans who were very respectful. Color Guards include active duty Navy, Korean War Veterans, Jr ROTC, and Young Marines all very respectful volunteers for the day. As a matter of fact the entire ceremony was conducted by volunteers.
