Actually if you look closely, really closely. Right after he blocked the sphere he wasn't in blockstun for like a split second until the reflector slide forward. You can see RX had enough time to do a mini crouch thingy before Akuma was actually blocking the reflector. So technically he could have teleported. i seriously hate that steriotype "the japanese are the best". nationality has nothing to do with someones skill. it's where you live, the competition there, and what level you want to take your game to. in japan fighters are still a staple. in the US it's shooter city except for the world wide fighting game tourny held in las vegas aka evolution. that's the only place that seems to have the most competition.
The reason why JP players are better than the West is because they get to play the game for so much longer than us. Arcades. plus no wait for localizing everything for us, Players over there are dropping tons of hours into it before we get a chance to even press start!

Doing tourneys at an american arcade are annoying. The joysticks are usually lose or stuck, and the buttons are always pressed down, over priced credits, most games at tournaments are 3rd strike or mvc2. Above that, you will be playing in an environment with a bunch of smoke in the air, or loud noise at chuck e cheeses. to top it all off, your competition is poor sported 19 year old who only use shitty shoto fags, which by the way, are very easy to beat. what i wouldn't give to play in japan.
Smoke in the air? You do realize that smoking is allowed in the arcades in Japan? And there are usually twice as many machines/players in Japanese arcades as well. As for the american joysticks and buttons... it sounds like you are playing at tourneys where the organizers aren't doing a good job running the tourney. Every tournament I've played and been to, if there's a problem with the sticks, they are fixed immediately.
It's not that... It's just the capture device used. It didn't record every single frame that's why you don't see the full animation on the fireball sprites. Sometimes it capture every second frame, or ever third frame was left out of the sprite animation. That's why you sometimes see only dark or only light and sometimes the full animation in his fireballs.

Daigo wasn't that great at CvS2. The Beast in CvS2 is BAS. He won SBO/EVO almost every year.

Hm, I wonder when Namijin started to use Gouki instead of Ryu. Anyway, he did great! Loved that wake-up Ashura Zenkuu, too bad he got thrown right after it.

Doing tourneys at an american arcade are annoying. The joysticks are usually lose or stuck, and the buttons are always pressed down, over priced credits, most games at tournaments are 3rd strike or mvc2. Above that, you will be playing in an environment with a bunch of smoke in the air, or loud noise at chuck e cheeses. to top it all off, your competition is poor sported 19 year old who only use shitty shoto fags, which by the way, are very easy to beat. what i wouldn't give to play in japan.

Smoke in the air? You do realize that smoking is allowed in the arcades in Japan? And there are usually twice as many machines/players in Japanese arcades as well. As for the american joysticks and buttons... it sounds like you are playing at tourneys where the organizers aren't doing a good job running the tourney. Every tournament I've played and been to, if there's a problem with the sticks, they are fixed immediately.

its like an EX hadouken.. backward - down - forward + punch.. actually akuma has no EX..if you noticed, akuma's SA meter never blinks..xD

It's not that... It's just the capture device used. It didn't record every single frame that's why you don't see the full animation on the fireball sprites. Sometimes it capture every second frame, or ever third frame was left out of the sprite animation. That's why you sometimes see only dark or only light and sometimes the full animation in his fireballs.
