Hi, I am an Atheist and I found this video series about an hour ago by Profmth. I favorited it, and then I saw your video in response to it. I am now deleting those videos and favoriting yours instead, as I do offer Christian/ Creationist content on my channel even though it is 80% geared towards Atheists. We may not agree theologically, but I appreciate what you have done here, because it is the first time I was impressed by a Creationist's video. Peace + respect -$@6E

Was it common for the property of other people to own cattle? After all, I've never heard of slaves owning the animals they cater. If so, why didn't they just get up and leave without all the death? What was the problem? the story seems odd.
According to scriptures slaves were allowed to have cattle, if you reject that you're rejecting scriptures itself, and in that case we shouldn't even debate it. Slaves in those days were allowed to do a lot.
Just leaving Egypt was impossible because they were slaves, you see ? Till a certain point they had their freedom BUT they were not allowed to leave the place.
Many slaves often run away to more friendly territory. It just doesn't seem like slavery, or "Columbian" style slavery, I guess. Too bad Christopher wasn't Egyptian, eh?
I'm an atheist and I don't accept the Bible. But I have to agree with what's been said before me: it's pretty clear that ProfMTH misrepresented what was written and he didn't provide a full and accurate description. The differences between the Roman and the Jewish times makes sense too, but I'm still a little skeptical (I'm skeptical about everything anyway). It was a good solid debunk though and I believe it made a very compelling argument.

ProfMth plays a game between those :) The reason why we didn't make it till now is because we targeted two other main Atheists who will get handled, with love of course :)

The first point isn't a well made one, it doesn't address the issue completely. Their questions of where Jesus is going don't just simply expire because time has passed and they changed locations.
I'm an Atheist anti-creationist, but I do think that 7 out of the 9 points were very solid debunks and may have addressed problems or mistakes prof made.
Worth a 5 star for being one of the few debunks made by creationists with actual substance. Great videos.

Isn't that exactly what a lot of creationists do with regard to science? Either case is a misrepresentation.
The truth is that there ARE inaccuracies in the bible and there are in accuracies in science.
The big difference is that with science we acknowledge this and creationist seem to be unable to accept that the bible is not infallible.
True science points to creation, pseudo science points to evolution and so on. Everything you believe is build upon assumtions and you need more faith than we to believe it.

We met already, he debunked himself and the only thing I had to do was allowing the ocean to speak against him hehe, check my clips. He deals with YEC yes, but by humilating himself and showing all of us how nasty he is. You respect people who curse like that ?

Why didn't you say anything about God hardening the heart of the Pharaoh, so he wouldn't let them go?
That sounds pretty evil to me, inflicting all that neccessary pain on the (mostly) innocent Egyptians. A loving God would surely soften Pharao's heart?

By hardening his own heart he was opposing himself towards God and therefore indirectly God hardened his heart. If I reject God he will harden my heart because of myself..in fact I´m guilty in that sence. By going against good your heart is hardened by God because of yourself. Read entire chapters to get the point

About clip 1, Christ said Arise, so they went and changed location and time changed as well. ProfMth displayed everything as if it happened in one scene.

Wrong! Atheism is the belief that there is no god or gods. Believing in a certain god does not make you an Atheist against other gods or a god. The only thing that separates Atheists from Theists is "A", meaning "not". You can't be an Atheists to all other religions in the world if you are a Theist that believes in a god or gods. It's illogical and is not consistent with the definition of Atheism or Theism.
I grant that the 2nd (regarding Exodus 9:6) regarding cattle was probably an honest error on ProfMTH's part, however, you seem to be grabbing at straws for the last one. This is definitely a mismatch.

Yes, the 3th clip is the hardest and we will need at least 10 min to explain that, but it's already done by Christian scholar's. There is no contradiction in any of his 9 clips and this example shows you how he tries to do it...
We will make the clip and just look how we explain the Jewish months and so on, it will clear up a lot :) It is hard to understand it when you're not into it just like I was days ago. But the explination is solid.
I'll take an honest look, and dissect both ProfMTH's version, and your own. I'm an atheist myself, but not really the kind that cares about Bible accuracy so much. To me it's irrelevant to the god claim. But I do want to know anyway, because it's an interesting puzzle.
All he`s trying to do is to convince himself that the Bible is not true, being afraid of the fact that being gay he cannot be saved if he doesn`t repent and come to Jesus to be saved and freed by homosexualism.
He showed up and didn't go in any point we made in all 3 clips, I believe he wont respond, if he does WE WILL own him like you've never seen before, because we got all the answers LOL. Everything he copied is already answered but some questions need an entire clip.

Christianity is the real true "religion" of God. It's not a religion it's a covenant with Almighty God for reconciliation and eternal life through the sacrifice of His Son.

The reason the atheists on Youtube go after Christianity more often than Islam is because most of them come from families that have Christians in them and live in countries with a large number of Christians. For example, ProfMTH was a Catholic who at one point thought about becoming a priest. He left Christianity for a variety of reasons, such as those he discusses in his series on the book of Job. He's more interested in going against his old religion than in going against other religions.

To the second clip, I'll agree with you that it's possible to reconcile the verses. I still think it's safe to say this was a blunder on the part of the authors--they obviously didn't think of the problem, or they would have said that the cattle were taken from the Israelites--but it's more mildly confusing than necessarily contradictory.
First, even if your claim was correct it doesn't debunk the fact that someone had, in fact, asked where he was going, so Jesus was still wrong.
Second, your claim is WRONG; Jesus made a speech spanning several chapters, and yes he said 'let us go hence' near the beginning, but they don't actually leave until after Jesus was done talking, as it says in 18:1 "WHEN JESUS HAD SPOKEN THESE WORDS, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron..."
First, it does debunk the point ProfMth tried to make, secondly, it doesn't really matter if they go right after Christ said that, the problem for you is, if you claim its odd then the burden of proof is on you to show us that there was not time passed by from the moment they actually went and he asked the question...

- 4 gospels agree they ate leavened bread (artos) shich is forbidden on Passover.
Luke talks about preparing the Passover seder BUT no lamb is mentioned, so they had a Passover seder but not at the time the other Jews had theirs.
So the OT was right, and this was indeed a part of the new covenant and the reason why we Christians celebrate Passover for the different reasons towards Jews.

I pulled my bible from under the table and had half an hour reading this again and again. And guess what, even LA BIBLE DE JERUSALEM connects 16:05 to 13:36 (and 14:5). These are not separate subjects.
Hours have past yes, subject changed a lot in the other 2 chapters as well. Jesus talked to them about the coming persecution of Christians John 15:26, the Holy spirit. The worlds hatred John 15:18-25. Staying connected to Jesus John 15:1-8. As you see they talked about many more subjects then just Christ leaving and that finally lead up to 16:5. Many subjects can be talked about in hours. I know I can have a conversation with my friends about vast subjects in 30 minutes let alone hours.

Present tense. Basically the point I'm trying to make is Jesus is asking them why have you stopped asking? The Greek word for ask in the verse is erótaó and can be used as asking, requesting, urging. my point was that the word judgement might not have the same meaning in all 3 quotes. words do have more than one meaning. you would think a professor would know that wouldnt you?
krima means a decision; it is not a "judicial" word like krisis or krino. about John 9:39. That's the keypoint for that verse, the other to are easier though.

Wrong! Atheism is the belief that there is no god or gods. Believing in a certain god does not make you an Atheist against other gods or a god. The only thing that separates Atheists from Theists is "A", meaning "not". You can't be an Atheists to all other religions in the world if you are a Theist that believes in a god or gods. It's illogical and is not consistent with the definition of Atheism or Theism.

The reason the atheists on Youtube go after Christianity more often than Islam is because most of them come from families that have Christians in them and live in countries with a large number of Christians. For example, ProfMTH was a Catholic who at one point thought about becoming a priest. He left Christianity for a variety of reasons, such as those he discusses in his series on the book of Job. He's more interested in going against his old religion than in going against other religions.

To the second clip, I'll agree with you that it's possible to reconcile the verses. I still think it's safe to say this was a blunder on the part of the authors--they obviously didn't think of the problem, or they would have said that the cattle were taken from the Israelites--but it's more mildly confusing than necessarily contradictory.

First, even if your claim was correct it doesn't debunk the fact that someone had, in fact, asked where he was going, so Jesus was still wrong.
Second, your claim is WRONG; Jesus made a speech spanning several chapters, and yes he said 'let us go hence' near the beginning, but they don't actually leave until after Jesus was done talking, as it says in 18:1 "WHEN JESUS HAD SPOKEN THESE WORDS, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron..."

- 4 gospels agree they didn't eat a lamb during the seder
- 4 gospels agree they ate leavened bread (artos) shich is forbidden on Passover.
Luke talks about preparing the Passover seder BUT no lamb is mentioned, so they had a Passover seder but not at the time the other Jews had theirs.
So the OT was right, and this was indeed a part of the new covenant and the reason why we Christians celebrate Passover for the different reasons towards Jews.

In chapter 16 Jesus is asking them present tense "why does no one ask where I am going?" it makes perfect sense to me, unless someone is WILLINGLY trying to look for contradiction where there is none I see no problem. Profmth jumped 2 chapters, just read John 13-17 in context and it'll be clearer best wishes.

I pulled my bible from under the table and had half an hour reading this again and again. And guess what, even LA BIBLE DE JERUSALEM connects 16:05 to 13:36 (and 14:5). Hours have past yes, subject changed a lot in the other 2 chapters as well. Jesus talked to them about the coming persecution of Christians John 15:26, the Holy spirit. The worlds hatred John 15:18-25. Staying connected to Jesus John 15:1-8. As you see they talked about many more subjects then just Christ leaving and that finally lead up to 16:5. Many subjects can be talked about in hours. I know I can have a conversation with my friends about vast subjects in 30 minutes let alone hours.

I can talk to my friends about A, then about B, C, D, and get back to A even the other day. How my friedns will know that I talk about A again, but not about B, C or D? Present tense. Basically the point I'm trying to make is Jesus is asking them why have you stopped asking? The Greek word for ask in the verse is erótaó and can be used as asking, requesting, urging.
