this is a fairly old video but i must say to anyone who doesnt know. i rarely use the automatic function of the gun because of the horrid recoil. shoot the m60's bullets 1 at a time and you will be rewarded greatly. so try this m60+grip with sleight of hand pro for faster aiming.

Light Machine guns are mostly used for defensive purposes. This is why they made them so slow when you run with them. If you add extended clips on an HK21, you have 60 bullets per clip, and a terrific scope. What does this mean? People will be using this with scavenger, slight of hand, and ninja. Scavenger for more ammunition, you will need faster reloads, and ninja seems to be the best third per available for defense. Aiming at a single target, (on dom) is really easy. Please think about this.

M642 or whatever on battlefield 3 (oh my god I said battlefield) suped up to having a 200 round magazine I do quite often find myself saying thank f*ck I had that weapon as I will sometimes unload 200 rounds in one go into a room and eliminate 5+ enemies permanently, making them dead forever, whereas with an m4 or something I'd be the one terminated for running out of ammo. plus the enemy are like 'is this guy a super robot with infinite ammo!? run!' then I shoot them in the butts as they run

How dare you call the greatest gun in that game a "novelty" and say that it has no use. It is the most powerful fucking automatic weapon in that game and it's defensive capabilities are amazing.

I choose the M60 above any assault rifle or SMG because:

-Larger clip/more ammo

-Great damage and wall penetration

-When people get hit by this thing it throws off their aim like crazy

It's simply the best gun for camping/defending if you know how to use it.

M60 with grip, rpg, flak jacket pro, hardened pro , marathon pro is the weapon i use the most. I can guarantee you can get very high killstreaks with it. But of course you need to play ... differently than with FAMAS or AKu

using the m60 with grip gives (only a little) extra accuracy, combine this with hardened pro makes it a great weapon for defencive gameplay. They can't get past you easily, and because the LMG's already have greater bullet penetration it's even more powerful with hardened. This way it is sort of easy to defend objectives with. Basically the main reason why I like playing with LMG's :D

I use the M60 as a defensive weapon. In headquarters when the HQ site is in a tight space that demands the team either has to funnel or turn a blind corner... They will see me with a 2 bullet kill, and a no need neccessity to reload. I have achieved 19 defends in a single match, which I am sure is no world record and people have done better. I like it though, and certainly am looking forward to seeing it be gold in my hands.

Light Machine Guns just have a higher point of tolerance for missing. You can run into a room and kill people without having to worry about reloading. In MW2 I could run into a room and kill like 4 people or more with one clip of a Scar-H, but when using say the L86 LSW, you can run into a room and kill the same people, while still being able to miss a lot. xD

Hey Sam, I wanna say that I quite like the LMG's in CoD- but only certain LMG's. One good example of which is the L86 LSW from MW2- this LMG had essentially the same reload time and even more damage than most assault rifles, as well as a high ammo capacity. This can be be great for room clearing, or against many enemies. Some will say that ARs can do this job well enough, but it all comes down to personal preferance. Just my opinion :)

1. the aug on mw2 was a lmg and was beast and 2. when you use m60 use warlord with grip and extended mags you dont need to reload as it gives you the full 200 bullets in 1 clip easier :D
