Seems like a super phaser pedal, but hes got that junior Gibson SG with a custom pickup on the neck with a toggle switch to activate it. That could be where to tone is coming from... They barely show him in this video.

Now he switched to Fender Jazzmaster :(

It's a BOSS PH-2 Super Phaser pedal, it's definetly a distinctive sound. I have one, I would know :) Either he forgot it on or tapped it twice as a mistake, impossible to know. As for the SG, I don't think he has anything hooked up to the toggle switch.
