  • How long does it take them to grow to their full size?

  • That kid wants the poor iguana to starve! >:( he's lucky he's cute!

  • What a handsome lizard! I have a regular green iguana who must be 13 or 14 yrs old now. She's still a cranky old dragon, but I love her.

  • I love that kid. He is so thoughtful and sweet. And iguanas too.

  • true love

  • great vid ***** stars-

  • I've watched 3 of your videos with Buddy and your family. There is something very tender and warm going on here..... I am enriched just by watching the interaction.... and i wanted to write and say so. Thank you for sharing/posting. Your children WILL cherish the childhood they had with Buddy. They will be more compassionate grown-ups because of you and your willingness to include the iguana in the family at this young age. Irreplaceable !

  • How much did he cost?

  • wow. " come here buddy, come here buddy tk tk tk tk tk ".. he's a reptile, not a dog.

  • @d34dm4u5XI2ay I can actually get him to come to me sometimes =)

  • @applejack720 Mine does too :)

  • @d34dm4u5XI2ay My iguanas come to the next room over if we call them. They do respond the comands like " come here" . Or " treat "

  • When it scratched its face it sounded so rough haha

  • does he ever bite

  • This is the best thing I saw tonight.

  • Freakin' Adorable!

  • cute kid , great animal !

  • That is a dinosaur.

  • Can you get those at the pet store?

  • @PhreshKartel2 no, reptile expos and online. if you are not an experienced reptile owner do not buy

  • @TheOGsurfer Are they more Agressive than green iguanas?

  • @PhreshKartel2 i honestly dont know, i have never kept one. i would try finding an iguana expert haha

  • Impressive, he's really tamed.

  • the Iguana is sooo cute!!

  • aaww! I wanna have an Iguana like this one!

  • Its so nice to see a kid that knows how to treat an animal! all I see is kids not knowing how to handle an animal and possibly hurting them:/ But its obvious that your son understands how to behave towards them! :D

  • buddy doesn't eat the peal?

  • What a great creature.

  • :O that was seriously like the cutest thing I've ever seen o.o :3 ♥

  • Did the kid just bite the banana? Ewwwww XD

  • cute, veery cute :)

  • @ViiCToRyTiTaN yes, i was kidding. i love all the animals, more than humans. i've never been hurt by an animal but other humans are another story. wish i could own such a fab lizard. buddy is awesome and the kid has a true friend.

  • OMG, so cute!

  • he has tits on his head

  • where can you get one?!?!

  • @TWCjon First, do your research. They get enormous and you need a MASSIVE floor cage for them (they do not climb much). They live 50+ years in captivity, expensive diet and if you do not know what you are doing they can become extremely aggressive. Huge commitment and for an advanced reptile keeper

  • I want the same lezard !

  • im in love with this lizard...

  • Awwwww =*D

  • Buddy = cutest thing ever!! *o*

  • Buddy is fab...........you're really looking after him and teaching your child not to be afraid....brilliant !

  • @arnold84500 LOL

  • @applejack720 it really looks like it'll eat the kid, but the iguana is cuter than the kid so what the hell. it's gotta eat.

  • WOW i am in love with buddy. are all rhino iggy's likethis?

  • @TsS7VEN Each iguana has his own personality. At around two years of age most rhino iguanas are pretty friendly, but no guarantees

  • Ohmygosh its so cute! Looks like a baby dinosaur! Im so gonna get one when I move.

  • サイイグアナは私にとって憧れの生物の一つです。

    こんなに魅力的な生物を日本で禁制にしておくのは

    本当にもったいないです。

    アメリカ在住の方が羨ましくてしょうがない。

  • would it get along well with a macaw?

  • @TamboresDeJaykub Buddy seems to get along with everyone. I have had birds before and it would be hard for me to trust a large parrot with Buddy. I am sure you could keep them at a distance from one another though.

  • that rhino iguana is awsome

  • @applejack720 you like the word: LOL ? just a question.

  • @hassansdna lol

  • Buddy is adorable!

  • its so cool its like a friggen dinosouar in your bedroom

  • has he ever bit you?

  • @IHeArTrOcK20 He has never bitten anyone. It would be hard for me to trust a lizard this size if I didn't know him as well as I did.

  • Uhm, that is pretty much the most adorable thing I have EVER seen!

  • Amazing animals

  • Awwww, you have a really cute rhino iguana!

  • He's like a hairless dog, simply adorable

  • What horrible parenting! You didn't teach him its scientific name!

  • does he ever go poo on the carpet?

  • @durdentyler60 I don't remember the last time he had an accident. Probably a couple years ago. He only gets to come and roam after he uses the bathroom. His time out of his cage is limited to less than an hour at a time. This has pretty much stopped accidents from happening.

  • @applejack720 nice baby, one day hel be a pro reptile owner

  • @applejack720 ever tried training him to go in a particular spot I had mine trained that i had years ago to go in a litter box full of sand so I let him have free roam over most of the house

  • @DeathlordSlavik did you have a rhino or a green iguana? Rhino iguans are a bit harder to potty train. We just don't take him out until after he has gone potty. Then it is safe for an hour or two

  • 0:35.. He got a kick out of that! So funny!

  • he is like a dog :D

  • I have had mine now 5 days and he's really eating like crazy now . He will let me scratch his chin and chest but i need to go slow and keep my hands low as i move to him . He's still a litle nervice though .So far he's tamming down faster than the Green iguanas i had did .

  • @rgkempton Wow, good job. Sounds like you are forming a very good relationship with him.

  • @applejack720

today i practiced picking him up , first 4 times he hissed at me , then he got calmer and calmer . So i decided to try feeding him while holding him ,he was nervous but he ate the small peace of banana /strawberry and banana squash out of my hands . i was shocked .:)

  • @rgkempton Very cool. It is good that you are taking it slow. You just want his friendship at this point

  • @applejack720

i also noticed that he is not hiding after i work with him , his tong come out the minute i put him down an d he started looking for food ,and walking all over the cage . This was a first and he acted like no big deal and way less cautious and scared.

  • do you have any pointers on taming a baby Rhino . I have a one i just bought a few days ago . He's 11' and very flighty . I have his cage covered and i am giving him/her space for a couple weeks to get use to it new 4'x8' cage . Thanks

  • @rgkempton I believe most baby rhino iguanas are flighty by nature. The magic age they seem to come around is at about 2 years old. I think just interacting with them when they are small is better than forcing any taming as they have very good memories and you don't want them to think you are the ememy and hold a grudge. You might try hand feeding him his favorite fruit. If you can even get him to eat out of your hand at this point it would be a good start.

  • @applejack720

he ''almost'' eats fruit (banana ) out of my hand . I can see his tong going , but he's just too shy or scarred right now .I soaked him in the bath tub this morning and he/sh loved that and calmed right down

  • @applejack720

Mine is coming along great , he/she now let me scratch it dewlap and head as long as i enter the cage low and very very slow , any fast move will still spook it .

  • i have a green iguanna and he loves bananas btw your iguana is absoutly gorjouss :)) and do u feed your iguana rats, mice, hamsters, ect.??

  • lovely video !!!! i want one tooo !!!!

  • 0:49 hes having an epilepsy hahahaha

  • Rhino iguana eating small child

  • It is always good to introduce kids to reptiles at a young age.

  • Hese like an oversized doggy ^-^

  • lol he looks so cool thanks for shereing all these videos on here with us to watch them...bye

  • @spmandmtgr Thanks

  • Awww. This is to cute :) . This is a grea video. I like the way you son is being so careful with the iguana.

  • The child ate the banana at 2:20, hopefully the rhino doesn't have salmonella. Anyways, this is a great video and your rhino iguana is gorgeous!

  • Wow he is amazing are you familiar with iguana's? Can they all be this nice, would I have a good chance to have a nice iguana if I get it as a baby? and are rino iguana's nicer then the typical green iguana?

he is absolutely beautiful I wish you the best with him, I hope one day I can have one half as wonderful as yours.

  • @justwealth Hey, thanks! Yes I believe green iguanas can be just as friendly. Sometimes I think you just have to get lucky to get a green iguana that is friendly from the start though. Many times there are green iguanas that are up for adoption though your local herp society and are already tame. Some of these have outgrown their cages and owners. You need plenty of room for both types of iguanas.

  • @justwealth Most lizards can be tamed if you handle them from when they're a baby to when they get older.

  • GREAT VIDEO!! I've been searching for a Rhino iguana for EVERRR!! if you can please help me out and tell me where did you get your?? I have a green iguana and he has an entire room to him self also =) THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  • @MelyLobaxxx I actually got Buddy from a vendor way back. If I had to pick one Tom Crutchfield has some very awesome adult rhinos he breeds every year. I favorited his video with his adults as they are all very tame, friendly and well taken care of

  • GREAT VIDEO!! I've been searching for a Rhino iguana for EVERRR!! if you can please help me out and tell me where did you get your?? I have a green iguana and he has an entire room to him self also =) THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  • He is so cute! He looks healthy too! Hope Buddy will live long!

  • Thats the coolest cornuta ever!!

Is this behaviour common in this species?

  • @TheTreeBoa Thanks- yes I would say this is common with these guys

  • om nom nom nom nom :)

  • hey i love your videos. I'm thinking about getting a rhinoceros iguana myself. I'm just infatuated with them. I understand they need alot of handling/socialization from the time they're little in order to tame them. I've never owned an Iguana, what do you think of them as an overall pet? I see your's is very docile and sweet. thanks for any response:)

  • @lrest All you need is space for a big iguana. They start out very small but will soon need something the size of a bedroom for a cage. Buddy only roams the main house when we take him out of his bedroom

  • Buddy looks really sweet and docile, how old is he and how much does he weigh?

  • @Systemlord30 Hi, Buddy is about 6 years old and weighs 11 pounds

  • @applejack720 @applejack720 Buddy is big for 6 years, my Green iguana is 10.5 years old and is sweet and docile, Liz didn't reach full size until after 7 years old and she isn't anywhere near as large as Buddy, I don't know her weight though. Checkout my iguana eating a banana, she's smaller than most males but eats like a horse.

    Systemlord

  • @applejack720 You have a beautiful healthy rhino. Love to see them being takin care of

  • @Mangobrain82 Thanks!

  • very sexy iguana lmao
