treceratops: Believe me, BC might not have been as huge here as some other acts from that era but they have their share of devoted, never-failing AMERICAN fans. I've been a HUGE fan since I first heard "In A Big Country" on the radio, and I am now, thirty years on. And always will be. God bless 'em.
Im a musciain..I just do not understand how some one who had all this could end it ...the way Stuart did..I will never understand it ..he gave us sooo much..I dont think he understood what he meant to his fans..RIP MR. Adamson.
was drinking some cans of corona with stuart in an irish pub yesterday, home of the brave, he flashes music through my veins and brain, and it's all ok he said, we´re all go to heaven, but never die.
Very, very good touch to the music. You have amazing drive to make this tune rolling, you're powerful bunch! Thank you so much, this tune made me glad and happy.
When I go to heaven the first person I am going to ask for is Stu. I can't wait to introduce myself to him and let him know how much joy he has given me over the years. RIP Stu. Such a shame. I wish he had a do over.
Brilliant. Great to hear Stuart again, I went to see them at the Glasgow Barralands in 1982/83 through the Bells (Hogmanay), Run Rig were in support also saw them later that year at the Glasgow Apolo, fantastic band live and realy got the crowd going. Yes it was a very sad day when we lost a talent like Stuarts.
This song is for soldiers, how refreshing, I remember U.S. hippies spitting on their own soldiers in the 60/70's, they don't mention it now, convenient memory confabulation. I remind them though.
@locheelad2 aaaahh.......this is an ANTI WAR song............it was written about the British involvement in Falklands Islands fiasco....and unfortunately this version does not have the power of the original. I saw BC live in '84. this pales by comparison.

Great anti war song but our soldiers should know were behind them not the people who put them there whether the reasons are right or wrong

The violinist played on The Bluebells "Young at Heart" as well. He actually wrote the intro to that,

Big Country was great in there own right. They did not need acceptance from america to be considered legends
