  • This is one of the coolest videos on all of youtube. And that's even if you include all the cat videos!

  • I'm Cramped again!!

  • now i gotta see a dog about a man...uh, i mean i gotta see if they got stealth modems for laptops...hmm

  • hmmm...girls live longer, and they're both kicking ass here, so my guess is both these girls are still out there and still got their guitars too

  • Fuck sake, this is wonderful!!!

  • Whats insde a girl ? Shit & Melodrama & Occasionally but not often enough me,RIP Lux.....You are missed

  • I don't need Midol for these! LOL

  • Love this band soooooo much. R.I.P. LUX

  • This is one of the greatest songs ever written. The Cramps are one of the most under-rated bands in rock history. It was a sad day in music when Lux passed away.

  • I feel cramps comin out from my stomach and thrills running down my spine...It's Lux FX. I'm sure He's rockin' with Jimi,Jim,Janis,Gene....and so on

  • Oh look !!! A fuzzy tail !!!

  • If you like these guys check out The Scumballys... Xanax is the greatest song ever!!!

  • What is the effect the singer is using on his voice?

  • @white12345a delay

  • Too quiet.

  • I have a friend who likes the cramps. Thats why i have listened to som songs by the cramps. Now i´m absolutely certain that my good friend must be psychotic!!!

  • @stalledrangen or has good taste in music......

  • How can you not like The Cramps?

  • The really cool thing was these guys sounded really good live it seems from all of these different live Cramps gigs. And they all looked great live on stage also!

  • Fantastic I gotta buy thie album that THIS song is on!

  • A Goo Goo Muck, that's what's inside a girl.

  • i had this tape and was gutted when my mum taped brookside over it ,mums what do they know?

  • whats inside a girl?...it's pretty much like a tropical jungle in there...you gotta pass all this tendacle looking stuff...gotta chop em up with a machete...then you reach this egg looking thing, gotta fight your way through the moshpit otherwise you'll fucking die...then that eggthing takes you for a rollercoaster ride through this dubething...then you hit a wall

  • @dpapaioannow I think they were originally going to put that in the lyrics but they couldn't get it to rhyme!

  • @smugglertrev I wish I'd written the words to this one...and the guitar work is mesmerizing...it disgusts me when people call The Cramps "punk"...nothing wrong with punk, but The Cramps ain't....

  • @haller1929 I wouldn't worry - it all sounds the same to the untrained ear! People unfamiliar with the different genre's just give it the closest label they know! Apparently, there's 1006 (probably) different types of metal but it all sounds the same to me! Though not punk, The Cramps do attract a punk audience & if I hadn't have been a teenage punk, I never would have heard them/seen them/taped their appearance on The Tube in 1986, etc.

  • @smugglertrev "There's 1006 different types of metal." "Apparently" LOl. Know what you mean! But you could tell the difference between Swedish death metal and hair metal. haheeha

  • @smugglertrev

Did anyone notice Draco Malfoy in the audience at 1:10?

  • @pinz2022 I had to look up your nerdy reference, but yes, it does look like him! haha

  • @haller1929 But that's all about Psychobilly - 70s Punk Rock + Violence, horror and obscenity!

  • @itheunknown

For some reason they just seem so gosh darn endearing to me. It's like the nerds pretending to be badass. I get the impression that none of them engaged in anti-social behavior offstage. Lux and Ivy mated for life, after all.

  • @pinz2022 Hey, I agree 100% with you! When I said "horror and violence" I meant the B-movies kind of "horror and violence"

  • @haller1929 OOOOO. Does that disgust you? How many times did you see them? Just curious. "Disguts me." you pink ass.

  • The only Cramps that didn't hurt!!! More Cramps for me...please!

  • when was this recorded?

  • @priapo2 1986.

  • That lead singer is a sexy fucker hey

  • Jools Holland is pretty much in the same field as John Peel (maybe not quite), an no-ones gonna say no shit bout him!

  • @throatboat Abso-fuckin-lutely!

  • YES!

  • I love the Cah-ramps.

  • Great song, Great band. It's a pitty the jerk introducing them can't pronounce "The Cramps". Instead he said "C' Ramps".

  • @jublywubly That's Jools Holland - music LEGEND! His dead-pan intro is the icing on the cake of this video! That's why I left it on!

  • @jublywubly never mind pronunciation..I just want to know 2 things ..when england has alien sex fiend america the cramps..what can australia put out? kylie just doesnt do it for me bring back spiked hair and booze on stage true artists remain exactly that .true artists...rip LUX

  • @Johnnyluxe

Australia puts out mostly crap, other than the metal scene.(Some great bands there) Kylie Minogue can't sing. lol

You're right too. Most bands need to put more into their stage appearance. I've always admired Luxe's (RIP) taste in clothing. :-)

  • @jublywubly jubly I agree man, australia used to be so alive with awesome indie bands, scientists, lime spiders, gurus, the stems, but the indie scenejust wasnt large enough I guess and bands just couldnt make it in such a buy out time thanks SONY !!! ( and other major record labels )

  • @Johnnyluxe

I totally agree with you! There were some cool, original, bands back in the '80s and '90s.

It's also very hard for decent, original, Australian bands to get a break. They often have to resort to doing loads of cover-versions just to get gigs. There's still some great bands out there, but unfortunately it's usually factory-line pop bands who get the most airplay. Personally, I'm more into songs that make us think and aren't too repetitive. :-)

  • @jublywubly

Ya but she's easy on the eyes lol.

  • @jublywubly Except for the Birthday Party, they were good.

  • @Johnnyluxe Beasts of Bourbon, the Birthday Party

  • Might just be the best performance on You Tube - perfect

  • @Eightball69 Couldn't agree more. I remember this from when i was about 16......Epic

  • My god ..... still got the original records and photos of me with a mohawk... Meteors leather jacket and saw them with King Kurt .... Oh Yer....

  • how can you say that bass player is hot? she looks like a foot mixed with an autistic rooster

  • @MrMuffin81892 Eye of the beholder, I suppose!

  • YOU GOTTA LOVE IT WHEN THE ARTIST IS DRINKING ON STAGE

  • Lux Interior and Iggy Pop. Who stole the others act?

  • oh come on man !!! How is it possible to be dumbass as dislike this riff !!!! 7 peoples didn't cum this morning

  • Fuck the 7 dickless bastards that disliked this video!

Lux was & still is the fuckin man!

  • I remember seeing this when it aired on TV I was 16 yrs old. The tube was the best music tv show ever made. RIP lux. long live rock n roll.

  • i wanna devour poison ivy, like just fucking tear her about <3

  • You can hear the Elvis influence.

  • 8==========D~~~~

  • They were the greatest live band ever. Poison Ivy was a fox fur was hot but in the way later days (90's) the sexiest bassist or band member of all (even though I think she was just a temp) was Candi del Mar. I will always love and miss the punk a billy music of the cramps. RIP Lux

  • i remember walking into some hole in the wall in the 80's this band scared the fuck out of me totally loved it. I remember walking out confused and shaking. LMAO

    RIP LUX

  • ...and fuzzy tits on bass hahah

  • poor Paula dead now, her children motherless .. what has the world come to

  • foda!

  • Rather conservative pants for Lux.

  • The crowd doesn't get the idea.

  • First band I saw at Rock City in Nottingham on this tour 1986. Great days and great bands.

  • Who's the hot punk rock chick. Not Poison Ivy but the other one?

  • @sshatchell Her name is Fur - that's really all I know!

  • Comment removed

  • @sshatchell Fur Dixon... she now does folk/blue grass

  • @sshatchell the chick bass player is Candy Del Mar.

    Apparently with a band,

Andy G & The Roller Kings

    says it here at 5:13

    /watch?v=KwuFaQiVp7s

  • @sshatchell Love Ivy but Fur did it for me as well.

  • Fur Dixon's her whole name. I like how the English guy introduced them, The Ka-ramps!

  • @sshatchell Jennifer Dixon

  • @TheStrainers I've got her on facebook.

  • @sshatchell JENNIFER DIXON (Fur)...beautiful hot punk rock chick!!

  • @sshatchell its lux interiors wife

  • when i think of the cramps i always think of old horer flicks like night of the living dead for some reason, but all that aside, the cramps was and steel is the best rockabilly bands in this world,r.i.p. lux indeed

  • i love the part at 2:20

  • It's hard to find another musician with same passion as Lux i guess, any suggestions,u people out there?

  • La classe... definitivement.

  • La classe... definitivement.

  • I can't think of anyone who lived a better life than Lux , he did what he loved for a living, played music , was a singer for a band with his wife on guitar...Pretty hard to top that story.Lux is the fuckin man!

  • @Frieza1999 Agreed

  • Cramps is quality

  • R.I.P. LUX

    Thank you

  • I was young and mad and drank tequila and listened to The Cramps...

Did any other band rock as hard?

    I don't think so.

  • I would Rock Lux's Pants.

  • Lmfao. That's Jools Holland! How old is this recording?

  • @EternityInValhalla ... he was also in a band called squeeze in the 1970's... he keeps well :-)

  • I had a feeling u were my only other option was to refer to u as a carbon based lifeform. (lol)

  • The chicks weren't just punky fine they were decent musicians in my opinion.

  • I'd pay to have sex with Poison Ivy....AND Lux Interior! I'm just sayin'....

  • @SmokyMtnJasper Even though he's dead?

  • @smugglertrev Oh, please! I was talking hypothetically. RIP, Lux.

  • @SmokyMtnJasper Ha! Apologies.

  • RIP LUX YOURE GREATNESS

  • dead kennedys

  • This sure is fun to watch! Cramps really kicks ass -totally! Sadly the audience is sooooo lame. Well, it doesn't matter 'because The Cramps rules!!!!

  • Not a bad band, but they can't compare to The Meteors.

  • @bronmon1 Agreed!

  • @bronmon1 Well they are gothabilly and its nothing like psychobilly probably dont know what that is(gothabilly) but they were the first to say in the 80s cause of their dark appearance mixed with the some rockabilly tunes they had, so ya the meteors are psycho i like them as well but hey everyone likes diff things :) you got good taste in music tho

  • @6747654 reasonable people rock. u the man dude.

  • @kingrob29 AHAHA thank you dude but im a gal xD

  • @6747654 Checked out your channel briefly, It's interesting. Clearly u are not a dude. Preconceptions are B.S anyways.

  • @kingrob29 Eh. Thanks i get that a lot of my channel

  • @bronmon1

The Meteors were inspired by The Cramps, there's no comparing the two.

  • @krissy82

Sure there is. Just because The Cramps inspired The Meteors doesn't mean they can't be compared, or that I can't have an opinion as to which was the better band.

  • poison ivy i love you

  • Gotta love the bass player's cottontail.

  • "That wavy gravy got my head in a whirl!"

  • Just what is inside these things you refer to as....Girls?

  • The answer is in a song from their next album "Stay Sick!"... in "Journey To The Center Of A Girl"

  • "The Cah-Ramps!"

  • Loving The Cramps, they get me all tore up!

  • Crowd looks Lame...

  • Bear in mind they're just The Tube audience, not necessarily Cramps fans! During the 80's, many TV appearances by 'alternative' bands included an audience that didn't quite know what to do with themselves (check out my clip of The Pixies for a classic example)!

  • @smugglertrev yeah this happened with the smiths too. heck this happens in "real life" concert settings. just the other day i went to an afi show and ceremony opened and all the suburban dudes and their moms were just standing there with their eyes wide and mouths agape.

  • looks french?

  • *sigh* I'll never get to see them live...

  • *sigh* You would have loved them. Saw them live on this tour and they were amazing. *sigh* Wont see them again............

  • I'll never get to see them. I Can't Hardly Stand It...

  • Carl Perkins would be proud...

  • Slugs and snails.

thankuferymuch for this. I remember seeing at time. takes me back.

  • Two words; the bomb!

  • Coolest lyrics and sound ever done. The Cramps are the the most exaulted band ever to grace the history of the music scene. Good riddence to bad rubbish to every other band who ever existed. If you can't dig the Cramps you can't dig nothing.

  • "Whoa...there's some things baby I just can't swallow. Mama told me that girls are hollow. Uh-uh...What's inside a girl? " One of the all-time greatest first lines of any song ever. This is magnificent. Thanks for posting.

  • is that jools holland as one of the announcers in the beginning? its gotta be

  • Yep! And the other is Paula Yates, ex-wife of Bob Geldof & partner to Michael Hutchence. She is, sadly, also no longer with us.

  • Paula's first boyfriend was Richard Hell, oddly enough

  • Even more oddly-her dad was Hughie Green!

  • why is that odd

  • I don't know-it just is!

  • fun fun fun man rated 5/5 stars

  • bass player? what?

  • "YA CANT SEE IT BY SATELITE, BABY THATS CHEAT'N!!!!! THE PRESIDENTS CALLIN AN EMERGENCY MEET'N!!!!...THE KING OF SIAM SENDS A TELEGRAM, IT SAYES WOM BOM BOOM BAM WOM BOM BAM BOOM,..AAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    I love it!

  • this is the best recording of this song

  • Lux was one of the best, period.

  • i LOVE this song!!!!!!!!

  • the days when newcastle was cool, that bugger in the front with bleached hair possibly went to every gig that i did!

  • Common boys, you know you want one of those fuzzy bras !

This is music for people's naughty bits.....WAVEY GRAVY......

  • this is the last of the breed, period.

guys, music is over after this.

the dead are walking aimlessly to bands on the radio. head for the hills....

  • Fuck yea man, we need to make a punk rock commune.

  • his momma must have done acid

  • c'est à souhaiter une épidémie de mère indigne

  • I guess my mom did too ;)

  • ...Nothings more charming than singing on stage with a bottle in your hand don't you think? ;))

  • i think Lux would look much more charming if he wore a matching shirt also, he he

  • cooler than a cigarette, but not cooler than say, and old vacuum cleaner

  • had the pleasure of seeing both The Cramps and Metallica live and while Metallica were an exceptional metal band, The Cramps were exceptional. RIP Lux

  • Lux it was a luxury to have you on earth. Where were u from man?

  • man thats a nice gretsch

  • gretsch were always wild guitars....and always forboding.. never played one.maybe one day.

  • Do it. I have a Gretsch 5120, the price dropped on them recently and it's an amazing sound.

I picked mine up for 850 CAD I think, 3 years ago.

Wouldn't trade my Gretsch for any other guitar.

  • God bless Lux, what a footprint he left!!

  • I saw them on the Elvis tour in Nottingham and managed to gob a greenie that landed perfectly, right on the bass guitarist's nose. It was the shot of a lifetime, although I felt guilty about it for some weeks... In my defence, gobbing at bands was all the rage back then.

  • ok but when all is said and done. your a degenerate.

  • R.I.P. Lux & R.I.P. the tube, what show would put a girl in suspenders and a singer deep throating the mic on tv at friday teatime? None

  • this guys gold pants are more influential to the world of music then metallica ever was

  • Dragon, That reply was genius. You are very wise, thank God , there might be more of us out there that know what real music is..

    thank U

  • I doubt that. People have actually heard of Metallica. Therefore, they have influence.

  • Yeah, not to take anything from the Cramps, but Metallica's had a huge influence on rock music in general (not just metal).

  • That arguement only works in a popularity contest, Metallica only influence metal, The Cramps go much further. ps love both bands

  • Metallica? What the fuck? They're worse than Led Zeppelin. Fuck Metallica.

The Cramps... that's the swingin' groove.

  • Well stated, Alex. This is, in my opinion, an unfortunate truth; i.e., I agree. One might even go so far as to say that since they hold such influence that they must also have greater musical merit, that since more people like them, they are better. Art is, however, at once for the masses, the artist himself, and for the individual. It is, as you note, subjectively evaluated. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say they are better, but it would also not be wrong to say Metallica sucks.

  • No shit!!..Just because Metalica fills a football stadium with a godzillion morons in Idaho Nebraska does'nt mean they'r great artists!

  • Metallica?? LOL = U2, same pretentious music

The Misfits Have more influence than Metallica ever had..

  • bands like ramones misfits and discharge must have more influence over rock music then metallica beacuse they are the bands that influenced metallica and their version of turn the page was realy bad

  • you mean metallica and that shit?

  • i never like them i went to see them with slayer in th 80s and did not have a good time

  • That's your problem, not the problem of people with good taste.

Btw, John Wayne Gacy was a major fan...

  • when did you get the new page and user name i thought gacy and gg allin were friends i did not know he liked metallica

  • Hes taking about metallica not the cramps just in case you didn't know
