could i hook this up to a wifi router to give other people in my home wifi on their devices? if not, how could i find a free connection outside my house and bring it to my house and boost it to my other devices?
Why remove the plastic case and replace it with crap ? you wrapped metal around the antenna.. that changes the standing wave ratio (SWR) which will mess up your packets and power output.. you would be better putting the naked dongle in the can and just don't get it wet or cover the front end of the can if you must with thin plastic..
@grekodave it won't make cracking wep any easier, but it will make your reception so much better that you can probably find another connection that doesn't have any security, no promises tho.
