Most of the non-story quests are made for you to lvl up on so you don't need to grind via creeps etc

Most named enemies are usually just there for you to kill. Named guys you have to kill for quests are usually in specific areas (usually guarded)

You probably have already figured this out, but you can bind to more than one location in SWTOR.
