Yeah I agree it doesn't exactly sound smooth in :55-1:03 - My suggestion would be keep practicing the riffs; And judging by the sound of the original track, on the "top" part of the lead, the knob is indeed set to the other, more mellow pick-up of the guitar, so that would be a good start.
thanks a alot dude :) With all my covers, I start off knowing one riff that I like, and then just casually learn and instantly record the other bits without practice, that's why some parts are just so much tighter than the others. Guess I should nail the riffs first before posting :) Thanks, and I'll keep in mind the pickups next time.
PS: Incase somebody has some time on their hands, I have a question for you viewers! With regards to guitar tone/ recording guitar, what could I do to make my guitar playing a lot more smoother and clearer in a section like 0:55 - 1:03 ?
Schehf for example (probably youtube's most famous in flames enthusiast) does it beautifully. Do I turn down the tone knob on the lead parts to make it less choppy? It would mean a alot if you took the time to comment :) thanks guys, and defo more In flames soon
