I watched your video about picking a protien that gas been on the market for 3 years can you please make video listing some good whey or weight gainers or any kind of protien thank you
I cook oatmeal with milk, whey protein, and add some flax seed for the fiber. Splenda has a brown sugar version which I use. I occasionally cook the oatmeal the night before.
I tried it, not too bad. I still have some clumps but it's good. I don't use the dry oatmeal as you do but I use the Quaker Oats raisins and spice and brown sugar type then blend in the whey. Not too bad at all. But with my lactose intolerant stomach, it does come with a price. Any suggestions with a stomach like mine? I am using the "Iso Mass Xtreme Gainer".
For lactose intolerance you should use a high quality whey isolate that has all the lactose removed. One that I use and recommend is Iso Smooth by BlueStarMuscle*com this is very easy on the stomach and is lactose free.
@LCopJunior you should just get the big bags of old fashioned oats. cook on the stove and toss 1/4 cup apple sauce or strawberries and 1tbsp brown sugar or sweetener and that shit is healthy and tastes good too. The fructose from the apple sauce and strawberries is good in the morning.
It's going to vary based on the portion sizes. But most oatmeals and dry cereals have about 450 calories per cup and most protein powders have about 120 calories per scoop.
hey lee. ive been working on my diet and and weight lifting more and more recently.
been trying to eat/drink oatmeal, tuna, whey protein, bananas, sweet potato. i got a question tho. is eating boiled eggs with the yolk really that bad? and is whole milk really that bad? i know a lot of serious body builders drink the low fat or skim milk but i feel like the regular milk is just fine the way it is. any thoughts? thanks in advance. and great vids by the way.
@someguyhunter it all boils down to if it fits your daily macros for the protein/fat/carb ratio....me personally for breakfast I have 6 egg whites with 3 yolks, 1 serving of fruit and 1 Cup(Dry) of Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats cooked in water with some Splenda as the sweetener. Milk I usually have fat-free or 2% fat milk. Don't let anyone tell you eating whole eggs is bad for you, the fat from the eggs is good for building your testosterone and a good source of fat.
Lee I made this recipe and I loved it. I told my girlfriend about it at work and told me to make her some and she loved it to. She even recomended it to her friend who does her hair. Thanx LEE.
@romeo101ist Protein bars are great as a last resort if you haven't anything else on you (way better than a snickers!) but make sure you read the label. Many bars DO have good protein/ weight ratio but just as many have really high sugar levels and calories. Aside from that, I'm yet to find a good, cheap protein bar. Its far more economical to buy your protein in bulk (as an alternative to protein bars carry some oats premixed with protein powder and all you need is water). Hope that helps mate.
Oh I remember doing your "Blast Your Bench" program. That was seriously one sick program.. (I actually wrote you five years ago and let you know how awesome it worked for me and you put my thank-you up on your site.) I have used your training principles over the years and though I'm not a competitive bodybuilder, I love being strong and fit. Thanks for all you do! **Everyone listen to this guy. Trust me, he knows what he's doing!**
@yuhcgte i used to use milk for my oatmeal but i find that water gives it a more bland taste and helps it go down. the oatmeal isnt exactly a banquet dinner for me so i just think of it as nutrients and down it as fast as i can @_@. also eating a banana with the oatmeal REALLY REALLY helps get the oatmeal down.
Splenda!!!! You killed it with that artificial sweetener man. Try some other natural sweetener. Look up how bad all those artificial sweeteners are. You'll see.
@fantamize stevia is finally on the market (in powdered and flavored liquid form) and so is agave nectar....those are some nice choices for sweetener....
@fantamize they are NOT. There is NO evidence that they are cancer causing. sucralose is just a glucose molecule bonded to 3 chlorine atoms. It passes through the system unchanged. Even if it were to break down, the chlorine amounts are nowhere near toxic.
for breakfast i take oatmeal (2 cups) with skimmed milk (400ml) no sugar, 1 egg + 4 whites and a banana or an apple, i don't have whey protein to put in breakfast but i do my best! :D cheers from Chile!
i understand why all these losers here are commenting that this is shit food, blah blah, tastes like shit blah blah blah, its cos theyre not building muscle, and their staple food is like mac and cheese or some shit. oatmeal is the best
@s4njosesh4rk are you serious? 500 grams? Wow, you must be insanely muscular to need that much protein. It's amazing how ouu got so muscular without basic knowledge of where to get your protein from, or how much you actually need.
Really? 500 grams? Only explanation I can think of is you're morbidly obese, and are using your total body mass as an innaccurate way of calculating your protein needs.
Hey thanx, that's agreat idea, gonna try this tomorow, think i Will add some cinnamon, and raisins to it and some fruit like bannanas or something, awesome video, and you look hot x
I get the regular plain oatmeal. It's a heck of a lot cheaper then those small pre-packaged ones. Besides the pre-packaged ones are loaded with sugar.
Probably 70 grams of carbs, it depends on how much oatmeal, etc. you add. 1 cup of oats contains approx. 60 grams of carbs and you'll also get small amounts from the protein powder.
@peek9932 well if im not mistaken he competed in 2007 at the Atlantics and most recently in 2010. i just dont appreciate the assumption that because it looks like he has a belly, doesnt mean he is fat. and in any event, even if he was on the bigger side, the ingredients he uses in this video are still extremely clean and nutritious so he would still be promoting a healthy bodybuilding lifestyle.
@leemhayward lol +1 my favorite carbs nowaday..backthen i used hate it now it's amazing ,i eat oats every morning..BTW lee you shouldn't used the plastic bol to cook your oats , Xenoestrogen will get into foods when the plastic getting warm..
@peek9932@wadoh333 i eat this. and enjoy it. if you think it's gross it's because you are just not used to eating truly healthy. my motive? enjoying a body free of flab without the additional hour every day to burn it off and stay that way
500 dollar protein breakfast!! quick and easy scrammbled eggs on toast 6 eggs 4 bits of toast 2;30 minute cooking time and only costs 1 per serving !!
yall are lazy. If you are too sad to boil water then just throw it in the microwave for five minutes with water and take a shower. come back and you are done.
@NicholaisoN This video is 4 minutes long, it would literally take about 2 minutes to make this; if that isn't quick and easy then I don't know what is.
This looks like a tastier version of my lunch meal that I have in school 1 hour prior to my workout. Rolled oats + unflavored dairy whey. I keep it dry and then just put cold tap water in it
Like who the fuck can eat this shit in the morning...when i get up. I have a hard time eating much. Let alone this thing. and i get up at 7 in the morning
Come on people I cant believe you think thats hard!! I mean he did that all in like 4 minutes, and if you say that your too busy to do that in the morning, then i'd tell you that you need to slow down and and realize that you need to take time for you self in the morning!! I can get a shower, do my hair and make-up eat, get dressed all in 30 minutes.
I normally have a cup of cornflakes mixed with a cup of traditional mueslie with a whole bannana sliced on top.... just wondering if this a half decent breakfast?
This is too complicated anyways. It's easy to do but do you want to buy all these ingredients and do this every morning? You can just as easily take just oatmeal, protein powder, milk and a piece of fruit and you will have a solid breakfast. If you want the flax included then you can buy the pills for very cheap.
plz helppp guys i work out calves everyday since 2 months...it growing very slowly!!!!may be i don't eat what a should...plz tell me what can i eat to gain protein.i don't eat beef!
@rkevin77 try a high number of repetitions for calves, cause theyre muscles for endurance. For example make 20 reps..10 sec rest 10 reps 10 sec rest...etc. until you made 100 reps. And don't train every day!
tried this this morning and it was great! i was suprised how well the whey mixed right in perfect for my beast breakfast 3 eggs and this with only 1 scoop of protein BEASTTTTTTTTTTTT
that is so not quick and easy hahaha so many differnt things.. i would just eat oats with cinnamin and raisins with a protein in a shaker cup on the way to work or something.. it takes 2 min to microwave oats
just add your powder with some water..shake it and pour into your whatever breakfast ya eating. that's what i do when i want to have cereal with milk n whey..
My protein powder is soy isolate so its normal for it to become solid. Now I usually make it with water and add a banana or two kiwi-s or some fruit to it to have a better taste.
why would i take advice bout nutrition from this fat bloated fuck.......wats the point of havin a healthy breakfast if your gonna add splenda and all those mainstream shitty oats
thats good but in england theres no such thing as splenda or cream of wheat or oat bran, we got oats, i normally just eat oats with milk + a banana and a smoothie for breakfast. If i could get some protein that actually goes well with food that would be fab.
for breakfast try your breakfast (oats + banana + smoothie) + some eggs. maybe you can get liquid egg whites so you don't get to much chilesterol and fat. i prefer 1 egg and then 200ml liquid egg. whites (because i don't like the yolk anyway). eggs are a good protein source. only oats for breakfast aren't enough proteines:).
Splenda is not a healthy option. Look into stevia which is calorie free and natural. Xylitol tastes a bit better with no aftertaste, but you have to build up a tolerance for it. It is healthy, though.
"1/3 Cup of oatmeal (measures)...1/3 Cup of Oat Bran (measures)...Annnnddd 1/3 Cup of Cream of Wheat (dumps the whole friggin' box in)"

machmood869 2 years ago
that is so not quick and easy hahaha so many differnt things.. i would just eat oats with cinnamin and raisins with a protein in a shaker cup on the way to work or something.. it takes 2 min to microwave oats

what is the seeds or whatever, is there something other i can use to supplement that?
pronation1 2 years ago
@pronation1
Flax seeds are used for essential fatty acids. One could also use all natural peanut butter or, better yet, almond butter.
NaturalBrute 2 years ago
theres flax oil too, can buy it all over.. shoppers drugmart and stuff.. super good for you your muscles and your brain.
also olive oil is good or avacado

Splenda is probably the worst thing you can put into your body.
Look up / use Stevia.
It has 0 calories and is a natural plant from Asia.

People have no time to have breakfast =))))))) I get up at 6:45 at morning and have breakfast and go to school at for 8:00.
Anyway can anybody tell me what is wrong with my powder ?
I never had this problem before. This is a new type, 85% (50g powder has 42,50g protein)
When I mix it with water it tornes to a solid thing and I have to EAT it with a spoon. Never happened to me before.
Any ideas ? I tried to add more water but it was still solid, like shiit or something. Please help !
TheNameTooSexyToShow 2 years ago
that is messed up try doing it in a blender
mikkydayo 2 years ago
I don't have a blender and its too expensive.
TheNameTooSexyToShow 2 years ago
just add your powder with some water..shake it and pour into your whatever breakfast ya eating. that's what i do when i want to have cereal with milk n whey..
lohjoonkit 2 years ago
My protein powder is soy isolate so its normal for it to become solid. Now I usually make it with water and add a banana or two kiwi-s or some fruit to it to have a better taste.
Its like a yoghurt.
TheNameTooSexyToShow 2 years ago
is it white powder?maybe you bought some concrete...
lrgend456 2 years ago
Yeah haha... concrete powder for concrete muscles. Now I don't wonder why are my muscles hard as concrete.
TheNameTooSexyToShow 2 years ago
its whey protein powder or maybe sugar alternative.
Thanks

why would i take advice bout nutrition from this fat bloated fuck.......wats the point of havin a healthy breakfast if your gonna add splenda and all those mainstream shitty oats
coadyguitar15 2 years ago
you do have a good point about the splenda and the oats, i never put additives in anything i eat nor do i eat regular oatmeal.
scotthornback 2 years ago
thats good but in england theres no such thing as splenda or cream of wheat or oat bran, we got oats, i normally just eat oats with milk + a banana and a smoothie for breakfast. If i could get some protein that actually goes well with food that would be fab.
davidisere123 2 years ago
for breakfast try your breakfast (oats + banana + smoothie) + some eggs. maybe you can get liquid egg whites so you don't get to much chilesterol and fat. i prefer 1 egg and then 200ml liquid egg. whites (because i don't like the yolk anyway). eggs are a good protein source. only oats for breakfast aren't enough proteines:).
stilomaise 2 years ago
Yeah ill try that. sometimes i have eggs but again liquid egg whites arn't sold in store, i could possibly order online.
Thanks for replying.

optimum nutrition 100% whey - vanilla goes awesome with scotts porage oats!
been using that combo for the past few months now, really good start to my day! oats, milk, protein - either apple or banana
godez5180 2 years ago
Thanks, ive heard a lot of good reviews for optimum nutrition, although the prices are a bit OTT. Might give it a go one day though, cheers.

Splenda is not a healthy option. Look into stevia which is calorie free and natural. Xylitol tastes a bit better with no aftertaste, but you have to build up a tolerance for it. It is healthy, though.
