  • Could Jeremy Lin be considered a steal even though he wasn't drafted?

  • Monta Ellis Was A Second Rounder

  • ginobeeeleeee !!!!

  • Boozer?

  • kevin durant!!

  • @adamokc2 2nd overall. Not a steal. If you watched the tapes of Greg Oden and you needed a center, then you would've made that pick as well. Greg has just been so unlucky, but I doubt he would've been close to KD talent.

  • I can't stand people who say MJ is a steal. Number 3 overall? Who was picked in front of him.... Oh, just some guy that people know as Hakeem Olijawon. Yeah, Sam Bowie was too but he is a bust. MJ is not a steal. A steal is like MJ 10 or past

  • KOBE!

  • where is michael jordan! he got drafted third!

  • never connected these two facts: but its pretty interesting Karl Malone & Kobe Bryant were selected 'unlucky #' 13...go figure, top 5 all-time scorers

  • Add Paul George On This List. Just Say.

  • Where is Brian Scalabrine? He got picked 2nd round 34rd pick.

  • @Belize2787 Big steal big flops great eruopean pussies. Emmanuel that's a laugh. Shit pay me a million dollars and I'll fall down too

  • @Belize2787 Monta is a big steal too.

  • manu was the biggest steal

  • Comment removed

  • that commentator has that sports magazine from the movie "back to the future", there's no way he can talk like that about rookies.

  • michael jordan

  • @TheDodgerssuck the portland had a stupid pick with sam bowie, thats it.. not the biggest steal consider 3rd

  • @TheDodgerssuck Jordan wasn't really a Draft Steal...he was chosen 3rd. 1st choice that yeat was Olajuwon but that wasn't that unexplicable: it's because "In Basketball everything can be taught, except for height". Sam Bowie, that was the unexplicable choice.

  • @TheDodgerssuck Steal for just the 2nd pick, the first pick is also top 10 player of all time.

  • @TheDodgerssuck he was chosen # 3 not really a steal

  • the jermaine oneal trade wasnt really a steal until they traded him to indiana

  • my tv just turned off by itself....wtf

  • Carl Malone before roids

  • george hill.

  • omg Ernie Johnson with hair!!

  • gee-kno-bee-lee, ya dun knowwwwwwww

  • Luis Scola was the 56th pick of the Spurs in 2002, they did not sign him and traded him in 2007 to the Rockets.

  • Most of these really arent steals

  • @afell11 Every single one of these are steals. Which ones aren't?

  • @iN31L How is Steve Nash a steal?? Jermaine O'Neal??? Kobe Bryant??

  • @afell11 O'Neal wasn't even a lottery pick and he's an allstar. He scored up to 25 ppg earlier in his career. Nash was the last lottery pick and is one of the greatest point guards to play the game. He is better than a 1st pick and got picked 15th. Kobe was also picked 13th and is one of the greatest ever of any position. He was a steal because it took 13 picks to get him! That's ridiculous! But that's besides the point. You said "most". As in a majority of these aren't steals. You only named 3.

  • @iN31L This depends on your definition of a "steal". My opinion is a steal is someone who is too good to have fell as far as they did. They deserved to go higher. A steal. Also depends on how deep or how good the draft is. Lets take Nash for example. He was a good point guard at a small school in Santa Clara. Kobe, and O'Neal were highschool kids. If u look at that specific draft class who would u have any of these players going ahead of? Iverson? Camby? Ray Allen? Marbury?

  • @iN31L I'm not saying Nash, and Kobe arent better then them NOW. Of course they are but no one knows how a player might turn out years down the line. U draft according to upside and college or overseas careers. Mostly. Everyone drafted ahead of them had very good college careers so I thought it was fair draft just packed with good players. 1996 was considered 1 of the greatest classes of all time.

  • @iN31L Arenas is a steal. Parker is a steal. Manu Ginóbili was a huge steal.

  • @iN31L F.Y.I Kobe knew and said he wanted to be a Laker before the draft, so it wouldnt have mattered where he was drafted he still would have been traded to the Lakers some how some way. And as for O'Neal since u like stats even though that 1 year he averaged 24 ppg which is awesome, he only averaged 14 for his entire career. Granted he's been hurt but just proving a point that sometimes stats are misleading. Still was a good player though. And i respect your opinion. These are just mine.

  • @afell11 O'Neal had multiple great years. Not just one. Like you said, he's been plagued by injury. And to your other comments, that IS the whole point of a steal. They don't choose the player because it's not logical. 8 years down the line they may be the greatest player to ever play the game. That is still a steal regardless if they're shitty in HS but amazing in the NBA.

  • @iN31L First O'Neal had really good years but not great. The reason I brought that up was because u brought up the most points he averaged in a year which was 24 he had 1 time. A great player is called a great player because of his overal career. Could it have been great sure, but he was hurt alot, so we will never know. Hell Grant hill could have been great buthe was hurt alot. and as in numbers. he had a great year with 26 a game for a year but averaged 18 his career because he was always hurt

  • @afell11 I'm not going to bother arguing with you because defining great is always subjective.

  • @iN31L No im not arguing at all. I dont want u to take it the wrong way. Just friendly debate. I respect your opinion though

  • @iN31L and to your other point they draft off of potential. Potential in the NBA based on talent or what could b. Everyone that year had great potential. Was a stacked draft, so alot of players like Nash and Kobe where able to go late in the lottery. Not because they were overlooked or felt they had less to offer, but because there were others with great potential that was more proven AT THAT TIME. But again thats my opinion

  • @afell11 Yeah, but since they were drafted later and they ended up being better, that is a steal. Regardless of who was better at the time.

  • @iN31L Case by case bases. Even on draft day certain players are considered steals because of where they landed. Hell Jordan is better then Hakeem so is Jordan considered a steal? Wade?

  • @afell11 IMO, if you're top 5-10 it's not really a steal. Now if you're barely a lottery pick, that's a steal.

  • @iN31L So using your theory Dirk wasnt a steal nor was Paul Pierce. They both actually are known for being steals. Hell even on this video there here. On draft day (which i saw) they considered Melo a steal cause Darko went ahead of him. The end of the draft and on espn that night all they were saying was he was a steal.

  • @afell11 Gatdamn. You're taking everything I'm saying to a grain of salt. If someone is on Dirk's level of greatness, he can be considered a steal because he was 9 picks after the 1st. It's all subjective. For example if this was a draft: Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, etc. And Dwight Howard was picked 5th, that wouldn't be a steal. Another example: Darko, Alonzo Gee, Aaron Gray, Magloire, then Chris Paul, and CP3 was picked 5th, that'd be a steal. It's all subjective.

  • @iN31L U dont know Dirk is going to b good untill down the road. Thats my point. he'll if thats the case what i said was tru. ahead of nash was iverson, rahim, camby, marbury. kittles, allen, walker, etc. Great players at that time. Now i agree with your last example because Paul had a better collegiate career then all those other guys so yes he would be considered a steal.

  • @iN31L Now using your first example with Dwight, if all those other players got hurt like Rose, James, Bryant etc for a number of years like O'Neal and Grant Hill and Dwight was having the numbers and averaging what he is now would he be considered a steal? No. Because of the potential the other players ahead of him had. AT THAT TIME.

  • @iN31L If the whole damn Dream Team was drafted at the same time but Kobe was drafted 12 and Lebron was 13 are they considered steals?

  • @iN31L Even moving to football, Aaron Rogers was considered a steal. ON DRAFT NIGHT. Because of they career he had in college which was pretty damn good but fell so low in the draft

  • Love how the height varies so much for dirk it says he's 6 foot ten when now he's listed at 7 feet tall.

  • I don't understand how these are steals. Most of them are high first round picks.

  • Reggie Miller... a man who was ready to put in the work to be a better player.

  • Rashard Lewis Center ? Lol.

  • Anyone else notice Kobe's head photoshopped onto someone elses body?

  • Hi

  • kobe never played for the hornets

dirk never played for the bucks

jermaine o'neal was a BENCH player for portland and became an all star with indiana

finley became a star with dallas.... dont think he even played for the suns......

    .....

  • @415lcb finley played for the suns. he averaged 15ppg as a sun rookie

  • mj was third and should have gone 1st, thats a steal

  • @PeppersRevolution Jordan was not first but hakeem olajuwan was they both turned out to be amazing players but at the time the rockets tought they needed the the type of player hakeem was but jordan is definitely number one all round as a player

  • @froflosoul i know hakeem was before him, im just saying, play jordan, show people what he has got and trade him for what you need if you dont need jordan

  • what the heck was reggie talkin about, "sit a couple of seasons" yeah right

  • now ginobili is a real steal. we talk about the 57th pick here. and a 28th pick with tony parker is also not bad. damn the spurs were very lucky. both of them are 3 time champions now.

  • Think you forgot Michael jordan lol

  • how about wade, carmelo and bosh? dont forget, darko as 2nd pick xD

  • of course, Malone decides to wear his ugliest suit to the draft...

  • what about monta?

  • i just realized that cheryl miller is reggie miller's sister

  • steve nash a steal? in a STACKED draft, going 15th isnt a steal

  • Nice video, but you forgot Nick van Exel :) 2nd round, pick 37

  • Alsmost all of them were 1st round picks, how is that a steal?

  • SCALABRINE!!! (CLAP CLAP.. CLAPCLAPCLAP) HAHA!

  • Clyde Drexler looks like he just turned 30 by the time of the draft.

  • Dirk is a BENTLEY now!!!! Go mavs

  • spurs got 3 championships wif ginobili got steal!

  • Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer

  • Wheres monta ellis?

  • spurs got the biggest steal

  • omg kobe was a young future kobe

  • jermaine a steal no way

  • 11 is not a steal

  • @revengeofbutthead

when its reggie miler, its a steal.

  • lol......G-No-Bee-Lee

  • kobe still looks the same today haha

  • @dhspike Plastic Surgery My Friend...remember that!

  • @Balanar0Night0Stalk How is scalabrine a steal? Scalabrine has more 0 point games then 10+ games.

  • lol wheres michael jordan

  • @skirocer

Being top 3 isn't a steal cum bubble.

The Spurs are a hell of an organization. They select gems! Manu was a steal as was Parker.

  • @Kingjd87 o so taking the best player of all time before 2 other teams isnt a steal? u retarded?

  • @skirocer

Hakeem at #1 was not a bad pick at all. Being top 3 IS NOT being a steal. No one could ave predicted MJ to be the greatest of all time in 1984. But yea the Blazers fucked up with the #2 pick though. LMAO. Just like they did again by picking Greg Odon over Durant. SMH. Blazers management need a boot in the ass.

  • @Kingjd87 you know whats funny about this? that maybe jordan wouldn't have been the greatest ever if he was picked before third.

  • couple of championship picks there at the end...

  • ginobili is the biggest draft steal

  • These are not steals, most of them are high 1st round picks. A steal is a second or low second rounder.

  • ah hah ahha aaa ...manu..one of the best! this is a real steal!

  • U don't understand for Manu and Parker, NBA was too stupid to give bigger roles to Europeens before, Drazen P. opened up the path, but it was G.Popovich who did very good scouting and gave them minutes and roles to play......

  • when they said "kobe bryant," I got goosebumps

  • whats a steal

  • Good list but ur forgetting people like Dennis Rodman, Dennis Johnson, George Gervin, and Michael Cooper!

  • LoL. They pronounced Ginobili's name wrong.

  • Kobeh Bryant

  • John Stockton, 72% FT%????????????!

  • Wish Malone won a ring...

  • stern's face when he said germany lmfao

  • 8:21

    wtf with Tony Parker height?

  • @revengeofbutthead Tony was 19 at the time so he probably grew a few inches before he actually started to play in the NBA.

  • where is Kandi Man and Kwame Brown

  • " hey reggie, wat r u planning to do in the nba?" reggie: "be the all time leader in 3 pointers."

  • what happend with dirk with bucks!!! omg, cant belive we didnt keep him!

  • michael redd was the best of his draft class and he was 43rd

  • @jamezo001 probaly they thought player wasn't a right fit for there team

  • Gilbert Arenas a draft steal?

    only if you collect guns...

  • @thurlsworld he played really well for 5-6 years and was a superstar with the wizards

  • @bdhsingfish Cool story broski...

  • @thurlsworld fuck all you guys, yea hes fuckin stupid for what he did, but god damn can that guy hoop

  • @ShietEverywhere he COULD hoop, his time has passed.

  • @thurlsworld C'mon now. He was better than 99% of N31 picks

  • How the hell did Kobe, Pierce, Nash and Dirk not get picked first.

  • Karl Malone, Manu Ginobili, Kobe Bryant and Brian Scalabrine..

  • manu was probably the biggest rip :/

yes, he might not be the best player in nba, but he is certainly better than 80% of the nba players

  • Steve Nash is NOT a draft day steal, he never made it in his early Phoenix years, he flourished only after 5 years in Dallas.

  • EMMANUEL GINOBILI - 57th pick, name spelled wrong, no picture to introduce... this is by FAR the biggest draft steal of all time.

  • and in 2007 the celtics got rajon rondo with the 21 overall pick which kinda pisses me off because my team had the first overall pick and rondo was the best in the draft without question

  • the funny thing is that rashard lewis right now is the second most paid player in nba...

  • where is tayshaun?

  • steve nash at 15.

  • lol reggie miller 6 7 190.

  • All these perfect players drafted so late!?

  • MANU 57!!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK IT THIS??? YANKEES BITCHES!! ARGENTINA RULES!!

  • Rashard Lewis is a BUST

  • monta ellis??

  • where the fuck is carlos boozer? he was a 2nd round pick

  • i wonder how mad charlotte must be

  • MICHAEL REDD!

  • Wheres Scalabrine?

  • hahahah they dont even have a picture for ginobili lol...

  • tony parker growed 3 inch in his career.

  • isnt arenas like 6'4"

  • Who picked that outfit for Karl Malone! Lol Classic!

  • Love Clyde's fro

  • biggest steal: ben wallace, undrafted

  • How were Lewis and Dirk a center??

  • OMG Kobe looks the same... OLD!!!!

  • wow 57 Ginobilli?!

  • wow tony parker's height is 5 ft 11.5 inch at the time when he was drafted at 19 years old. Now hes 6ft 2 how come he grew those inches?

  • Damn Kobe still looks the same

  • Rajon Rondo originally meant to be a Phoenix Sun but now the celtics best player

  • Manu has to be the biggest steal.....almost dead last

  • haha they booed dirk..look at him now

  • @airHaakon Nope, 2nd

  • @InMyZean dumbass he was 3rd

  • @InMyZean Check something before you post it, 1st pick Rockets-Hakeem Olajuwon, 2nd pick Trail Blazers-Sam Bowie

  • ginobili and parker... spurs org is the smartest

  • wheres shawn kemp and tim hardaway????? those are the most forgotten draft steals, i mean ppl know the players but they tend to forget they were passed on. hardaway was 14th and i think kemp was 17th, now those are draft steals
