Review: Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation

i have oily, acne prone skin myself and i picked up this foundation as a huge drugstore haul because i was getting an amazing amount of points and whatnot. i HOPE this won't break me out. however, i'd never know if i don't try it, and i'm sure my mother will find it nice to use if i don't. i also knew that this got much better reviews than the other and this was on sale at the time i picked it up (along with the points). hoping for the best!

Ok so I wear 240 in Dream smooth mousse and I know how you feel about the colors. You should try clean by covergirl in has a rosy under toned color selection and a yellow under toned color. it's amazing. But if not try Relvon colorstay. It's amazing but it broke me out.

FINALLY a good, to the point, non-annoying foundation review. I just bought it tonight and put some on my jawline. It matches perfectly and covers fairly well! I have verrryy dry skin during the winter and then my skin gets oily during the summer. The foundation said that it was hydrating and many people (including you) said that it gives you a natural, healthy finish. It's exactly what I was looking for and so far is great for me. I'm "creamy natural."

thanks for this review! I just bought it today and it suits my skin tone perfectly! (which confirms that I am an NC35, cuz I wasn't 100% sure, diff mac stores told me diff. they think I was a C4) but NC35 was closer. And I just tried the smooth mousse on, I have dry skin, so this feels really moisturizing for me. But it costs $17.50 tax included here in Canada. And that is way too pricey. So when I head to NYC this June I'm gonna grab several for backups! I love it. but coverage is pretty light.

I use this product and love love love it as my cheap drugstore foundation!  I just purchased the Sonia kashuk sponge because I seen how it turned out when you swatched it and loved the outcome. Just had to ask if you wet the sponge before applying foundation or no?

I HATED this foundation!!! UNTIL I applied it with my Sigma flat top kabuki brush!!!! The first time a did it I went to dinner and as soon as my friend saw me she said my skin looked flawlessssss!!!! I used the Matte mousse foundation, and I loved it at first! I have combination skin, some dry and oily areas, and acne prone skin as well, and the first uses where awesome, but after a while it broke me out, and made my face super dry! I had lk dry patches around my face. Love how this looks on you. I'm a lil tired of liquid foundations, so I think Imma give this one a try! Great review!!

Since you have oily skin, does the oil seep through the foundation? If so, after how long? I want to use it for my sorority formal. But, I don't want my skin's oils to start showing through. So, in your opinion does the dream smooth mousse work better for oily skin more than the dream matte mousse?

I haven't used the dream matte mousse because a few of my friend's have broken out from it. I use the body shop's matifying day cream to control any oils...so it doesn't come through. Works for all foundation. I really recommend trying it out! There is a small size for $3.

I guess you could but not many people use this type of sponge for powder foundation because it's a bit pricer than the big packs you can find of simple sponges. Powders don't need as complicated sponges because they blend easier =)
