@liviakathrynrhyneil I agree, there are a lot of great things in KH1 that were not done right in KH2, for example the coliseum was a lot more fun in KH1 and I was disapointed by KH2s coliseum. But both games had something better than the other. I would certainly enjoy them both equally if it wasn't for KH1s colisuem tourney that set it over the top.

Ahh yess the coliseum... And Ariel's level was tonnnnns more fun too cos you could actually fight in her level!! I was kinda glad there wasn't that dungeon bit in hollow bastion in KH2 though that got kinda annoying in KH1... And I miss Dumbo as a Summon in KH2... He wasn't in that was he??? But I think the drive forms and slighty less complicated combat system made up for everything in KH2 =D (Well, most things anyway)

@rafico1me I could go on for days about how great these games are. Combat definatly had a lot more pazaz added onto it in KH2, but man i just simply loved the battles In KH1. I loved battling Riku in hallow basion (which was fun as hell but took me so many tries) and flying around slicing up that big black demons face gave me a great feeling. The thing is about Ariel's level in KH1 is that I was terrified of sharks when I was a kid. You enter that one chamber and the shark fucks your shit up DX

This soundtrack and level was by far my favorite in kingdom hearts. This was actually my most favorite game in middle school. The series was astonishing and creative but after kingdom hearts 2, I started to loose intrest :/

Well i never said KH2 isn't epic or something, the point is KH2 has a more efficient battle system then 1 that makes it more easier to be able to play, like the triangle moves, by just spamming them on certain monsters you kill them instantly like, the thousand heartless battle.

in KH1 it was hard to do it, because you had to time EVERYTHING right, like block/counter attack if you messed that up, u were screwed big time =]

Well i defeated him on KH on the hardest difficulty, even tho it was the intensest battle i have EVER done lol, 2 was kind of easy to, start of the battle button pass Triangle and ur almost throught the whole fight haha:P, one was the hardest, when you had to fly away EVERY time and time your elixers just right else you where buttf*cked by seph like hell haha

This is definetly the place where Kingdom Hearts was turned from a colorful children's book feel into a darkened anime fighting series. I love the game, but this brings back bad words and angry thoughts, because the boss fights here (Mainly the Dragon and Ansem-Possessed Riku battles) were so freaking hard.

They butchered Hollow Bastion after KH1... it used to be an explorative amazing castle that was similar to a labyrinth. It also had amazing story events and yet somehow, we have never been able to revisit the original Hollow Bastion again (except COM but it was pretty much the same as every other level due to the cards choosing what each room would be)

@MrWoezy That's why KH2 Final Mix has another difficulty level, Critical Mode. It makes KH2 even harder than KH1. And if you really want a challenge you can try playing through at Critical lv 1, which makes the game practically impossible to beat.

@naevan1 Yeah, BBS bosses are more about knowing what to do, rather than how good you are at doing it. Once you know when to block or dodge, they're actually quite easy.

@Badham94 True,but even though you KHOW how to avoid the attacks you still die because they do not follow the same basis always ; They may use an unprecedented attack. For example on MF,he did the cyclone attack I dodged and used thunder surge but then he teleported and used another cyclone and I thunder surged inside of it and then he teleport again,hit me with a cyclone on that 0.111 second were you cant move when u fall from Thunder surge,then immediately used the rope and I died:P

Kingdom Hearts 1 was a flawless game with excellent gameplay, superb story, and what 5-year-old Michael (I'm 14 now) always wanted. TO FIGHT WITH THE DISNEY CHARACTERS!

Kingdom Hearts 2 was a dissapointment. Emo sitar-wielding assholes wearing bath robes. KH2 was like a fanfic made by an emo 12 year old.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was one of my favorite games of all time, only second to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
