Secondly, when your a perennial scrub team like the Grizzlies you have to start with small victories, and this trade, while it did take a while, help lay the groundwork for the Grizzlies to be an up and coming team in a small market. @24AFP it was the worst trade ever, this was a corrupt trade lead by jerry west, the lakers gave up literally nothing, and added gasol who is an allstar making the lakers the tallest team in the nba, memphis could of gotten a better trade somewhere else, marc gasol is good but he is not an allstar, plus when memphis made the trade they had to wait a year for marc, nobody knew how good he would be, it be interesting if the lakers play memphis in the playoffs
