Now this is true horror. Really goes back to the way of providing tension culminating with disturbing visuals. Particularly the torture scene on the table, as a typical western youth somewhat desensitized to violence in the media and videogames, I found that bit almost nausiating. Give the guy who created this a bloody medal!
silent hill the movie is nowhere near as bad as you claim and assholes like doctorAtomic111 are the same kind of assholes that make ff7 have a bad name.

I am a casual player of silent hill yes? but respect is still important for others because otherwise nobody will respect you.
Silent Hill the movie was shunned by many critics and you are quite mistaken, the movie was going to be a technical adaptation, but then he said he was going to make it for fans. As it stance, it has no sense in it what so ever and IS FANBOYISM is self. No more than fanservise everywhere.
Gans was stupid to even mention jacob's ladder as even the fast head effect was done before and after it. Much was more to the genre and not exclusive to that film as well.

As for silent hill 4:i have no idea,i keep hearing that silent hill 2 is the best and i saw one person say they loved silent hill 3.I'l eventually get around to finding a copy of silent hill 2 and 3 and finishing them,maybe i'l download silent hill origins because i think it came out on psp.

Even though people may hate on Konami they should at least remember that Konami WAS the company that started the whole franchise. And without it, maybe this excellent video wouldn't be here today :/

I'm glad SH4 and SH5 and SH Origins dont call themselves just "Silent hill 4" or something. They REALLY are not deserving of the Silent Hill title....they need to fire the team..or atleast improve them. One Suggestion, ADD THIS GUY who made the movie, fucking genius.

The next game wont be butchered the current team working on said they wanted to take a feel like SH2. Also homecoming really wasnt that bad it wasnt that good but it wasnt a terrible title. @JesusStrikesBack1994 I stopped playing after 4. I was lied to about 4 being a "good game". It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't on par with 1,2, or 3. Good concept but meh. I watched a play through of Shattered Memories and it wasn't too bad. Although, only being able to run from enemies did seem to get a little redundant after a while. I wasn't expecting anything good anyway so it was no big deal. Good concept for that one as well.
@JesusStrikesBack1994 It just really pisses me off to see such laziness in video games these days. It's almost like the movie industry is rubbing off on them. No one (or VERY few) wants to take a chance and make something "different" or "experimental". Instead they make games they know are going to make them a lot of money. (i.e. Halo, Call of duty, etc) Video games, to me, are/were the last medium for people to express themselves by going out on a limb and trying to create something different.

As soon as I saw the gameplay "seamlessly" go in to a cut scene of the world around him "peeling" away and floating up to turn in to the "other world" (just like in the movie...sigh) I couldn't stomach any more. I knew at that moment Silent Hill was truly dead and being shit on by a bunch of (all joking aside and in all seriousness) morons. This will go down in history as one of the biggest "stabbed in the back moments by a video game franchise".
@DoctorAtomic1111 well, I think the movie was decent. Not great, but not horrible. Average. At least it tried a bit to be like Silent Hill. It is ABSOLUTELY better than most game movies. Example: Resident evil has 99% NOTHING to do with the game series. Only the names, and the licker are unique to the game, and are in the movie.

@DoctorAtomic1111 the kind of skilled individual i could do with on the team i need to revive the original series for the next gen console. i was thinking instead of a complete rehaul of the graphics for the first game it would be better off just being hd, works for some of the old classics
Wow... this is seriously horrifying! Just as lanoche said... I'm lost for words! It has an excellent storyline, and makes lots of sense (Makes sense if you understand the storyline)! This is definetly better than the movie! Thank you so much whoever made this!!

Left me at the edge of my seat the whole damn time. This is what I call a good horror movie. Silent Hill for me, is all about the story and this whole short film really showed that side; even it is just fan-based.
Beautiful work. I've tried my hand at 3-d imaging and the like. Not that easy, as some may think. Good effects and damnit, wheelchairs freak me out!

This is actually scarier than silent hill to me :s. I mean silent hill is my all time favorite game, but it has never made me jump as much as this. Silent hill is like the scary that makes me want to keep playing. But this is like scary where I dont want to watch anymore but I do anyways lol

yeah especially when u first enter the door, all you hear is a sudden change in bgm and the panting of the nurses coming towards you. i dont like how the nurses in the new game are going to be all sexy and shit, the sh3 nurses were my favorites.
This is a really intense series. The invasion of the human psyche is what Silent Hill is all about. It was what SH2 was based on and that was the best game of the genre. I think the creator captures the modd perfectly!

Damn, I was SO hoping for Lisa to be in this one. She's in all of them! Her biggest role simply resides in the first Silent Hill... Was she in the fourth one? I didn't play very far into that one because I didn't like it.
She was not in silent hill 4...and besides konami was just going to call the fourth one the room but since they mentioned walter sulliven in the second one it is still part of the series but really no relevence to alessa ...and besides i liked it and felt sad for walter (both sides) had a good story to it atleast i thought it did

1 was a pretty good but 2 was just more of the same and they lacked the feel.

Other than that i do think it had the right feeling.
I do admit though,i'm not much of a silent hill fan since i only beat the first one and played it once,but i like the music.

@piromaniac9999 Well, it's probably because a bunch of Hollywood assholes sat around and picked all the things they thought were the coolest things in the games and threw them all together like a bunch of retards. If they had actually played ANY of the games, they'd know that EVERYTHING in Silent Hill means something. So what we as fans get is a butchered, sorry excuse for a movie so some producers could make money off of stupid people who think "Oh man, that's scary! Oooh, ahhh!" Bullshit...

@DoctorAtomic1111 I thought the movie was pretty damm good,at least it wasn't like resident evil with several movies and the best being the first.
My issue was with not having harry in the game and instead having some girl(probably same one from silent hill 3)? never played silent hill 3.
Also,you can't make a movie exactly like a game,its also risky.
I'd like to see you make a movie of silent hill if you think you are better.

Wow... this is seriously horrifying! Just as lanoche said... I'm lost for words! It has an excellent storyline, and makes lots of sense (Makes sense if you understand the storyline)! This is definetly better than the movie! Thank you so much whoever made this!!
P.S. I love the use of Akira Yamaoka's music! It fits in perfectly with the storyline!

Left me at the edge of my seat the whole damn time. This is what I call a good horror movie. Silent Hill for me, is all about the story and this whole short film really showed that side; even it is just fan-based.
Beautiful work. I've tried my hand at 3-d imaging and the like. Not that easy, as some may think. Good effects and damnit, wheelchairs freak me out!

This is actually scarier than silent hill to me :s. I mean silent hill is my all time favorite game, but it has never made me jump as much as this. Silent hill is like the scary that makes me want to keep playing. But this is like scary where I dont want to watch anymore but I do anyways lol

This is a really intense series. The invasion of the human psyche is what Silent Hill is all about. It was what SH2 was based on and that was the best game of the genre. I think the creator captures the modd perfectly!

The enterance to the hospital was dead-on! And this is so scary! This is the best part so far. Sick and twisted, the way Silent Hill is supposed to be! The makers of the games should watch this. It is truly inspiring and mentally damaging. No sleep tonite!!!

She was not in silent hill 4...and besides konami was just going to call the fourth one the room but since they mentioned walter sulliven in the second one it is still part of the series but really no relevence to alessa ...and besides i liked it and felt sad for walter (both sides) had a good story to it atleast i thought it did
