As a bicyclist with a roundabout in my morning's commute, I wish all motorists (and cyclists) understood how roundabouts work for bicycles.
I may be slowing down the traffic a hair as I come around the circle, but maybe folks should look at this as a good thing. Part of the reason for the roundabout is the two elementary schools (one private, one public) in the immediate vicinity. Slowing down the cars is essential for everyone's safety.
I'm seeing a lot of lane changes without scanning. I see that you have mirrors, but how can you be sure you're not being overtaken by a faster cyclist in your blind spot?
What blind spot? You presume that we have a blind spot. With a wide angle "take-a-look" mirror I can see very well behind me. Yes, I can see Brian as we traverse the roundabout. This is how we stay so well synchronized in our movements, as this makes the video much easier for the viewer to watch.
I know that area, I usually take the sidewalk. Have you tried going up that hill to shady canyon? Its my favorite spot to bike.
