  • She needs to do her own homework. The GBB is not aggressive or old world...

  • green bottle blue tarantulas arent old world aggressive species!! lol and mexican red knees definitely aren't inexpensive...

  • I just HAVE to jump in,,, Green bottle Blue (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens) is NOT super agressive, its a calm spider AND its from Venezuela, and i can also ad that the GBB is an EASY to keep T.

Not to be meen in any kind but get your fact´s before you call your self "expert" not for YOU but for any "noobs" that want´s to learn.

  • Guys leave her alone, shes trying her best and is doing a good job of it.

  • She keeps cocking her head like a dog.......... It pisses me off

  • well now. ive just recently become a tarantula owner. n saying u need to your homework b4 purchasing one is deff a good plan but maybe u should do the same. as i went to an actual T breeder and green bottle blues are a recommended beginner species. also the rose hair not a good choice as they can be very moody and tend to fast (not eat) for up to a year. any person ive talked to says to stay away from rosies as they can be difficult to attend to. just saying :)

  • Very funny ice lol

  • For all the newbs to the hobby. Your first T should be the stromatopelma calceatum. Very docile. Can be handled easy!!! ;)

    JOKE

  • @icecold40oz LOL i 'm gettingn a b.albopilosum

  • it annoys me how she says tarantula so much

  • what is the name on the spider that you can put on the wall without any terrarium? it is also a tarantula.. please respond

  • I want a trap door because its native to Australia and I live in Australia and adore the spiders that live here.

  • Lol fuck thati just gotmy first spyder last week i caught a funnel web spider by my pool so sick

  • i am in fifth grade watching this until the part where she says "Make sure you do your homework" i was like "How do you know?!? O.o

  • lol fail.. GBB's are from Venezuela (central america) she says they are old world

  • she says get a new world first, but if you are going to respect the spider, get what you like the look of

  • This woman has no idea what she is on about. Mexican red knees are expensive, at least they are where I'm from, I paid £150 for a 4-5" male.

  • @PureOakley01 they are quite expensive. that was a bit overpriced.. normally adult females go for about £70 whatever that is in usd

  • lol up you alley thats what she said!! 1:45 opps abt the comment below

  • lol up you alley thats what she said!! 1:55

  • my tarantula is a v8 turbocharged... its invicible and has cannons...

  • green bottle blue is not old world, this is expert sh!t

  • green bottle blue is not old world, expert SH!T

  • "would be more, up your alley" pffft hahahaha :D

  • GBB aggressive what? and smithi's not expensive she's gone crazy

  • Comment removed

  • which is the least aggresive one? i have a fear of spiders and i want a Tarantula, to get rid of my fear

  • @NLmitchieNL I've heard that the chaco golden knee is the most docile one. It looks pretty and it seems very easy to pick up and handle. I have a mexican red knee and she does have an attitude, but is generally very sweet and has never attempted to bite me. All spiders have their own personalities, so you should either raise a baby tarantula and learn to understand its behaviour early on, or purchase a grown tarantula that's confirmed to have a calm nature. Good luck :)

  • @NLmitchieNL about all of the new world tarantulas are good starters exept for the Theraphosa sp and the megaphobema sp but the best genus to start off with is the Brachypelmas or the Grammostolas for example my first T was a Grammostola pulchripes

  • my first tarantula was a Lasiodora Parahybana (Brazillian Pink Bird Eater) she's 6 yrs old now, and doing very well.

  • Greenbottle blue are actually quite docile. -.-

  • lol yeah i have a rare B. Smithi then because it is LIGHTNING fast and not docile lol

  • da fuck as far as i know GBB is a new world species...

  • @ilikemyspider it is....GBB's don't even have a bad reputation too

this women trips over her own words at times, but at least she's helping some people lol

  • i recomend t-blondi ( golith)

  • Hah! I live in Hawaii so there is no tarantulas so I can't find it at my local pet store... so what now

  • pause, play, then hold 4 for some chimpmunk eating action

  • I have a gramastola rosea (Chilean rose) she is very good they are the best to keep but with all animals they have different personalitys I recommend Chilean Rose b 4 redknee

  • Im thinkin about gettin a mexican redknee and i want to feed it somethin twice or three times a week that would keep its abdomen medium sized. So what would i feed it. If you know the answer email me at carson445@hotmail.com

  • @stromeyer50 Well, you can feed her rodents, for example mice. The best would be living mice, so the tarantula can hunt. Just my opinion, and I am only taking that opinion from snake feeding...

  • She annoys the crap out of me and the way she says tarantula.

  • Me and my fience have a African bamboon taranchula. Now I don't know much. He is the one who loves spiders. But my question, she is always under ground in her tunnels she built. Mainly only komes out when she is hungry, or every once in a while late at night. And when she does kome out, she stays right next to the opening of ger tunnel. Is tgis normal for these taranchulas? And when she moults, will she do it above ground? Please email me if u know thank u.

    shroomysgirl@yahoo.com

  • @Locahauntas

your spider a baboon will kick out the moult out of the burrow...well mine do pterinochilus murinus, Hysterocrates gigas...if it doesnt then its a dig up

  • Rose Hairs CAN be docile, but they are a very unpredictable species. I have 3 of them. One is a total sweetheart, wouldn't hurt a fly (a roach on the other hand...), one is nice, but if you startle her, she will not hesitate at all to bite. And my last one is a complete psychopath who would gladly sink his fangs into your flesh.

  • I would like to point out that my Greenbottle Blue (Chromatopelma) is my first tarantula, and it's very easy to keep. Also for the beginner!

Yes, often they are paranoid and nervous. That's why I only handle her in emergency situations. She is a good girl when it comes to warning about not being in the mood to be handled. Still, you just have to be a 100% sure she doesn't mind being handled, 'cause they are fast like hell. A fast movement can't startle it, so be careful...

  • Whats the Type of tarantula @ 0:23? Cuz i love the colours...

  • @generationx1254 That's a mexican red knee :)

  • @generationx1254 Sorri late comment from a month ago that is a b.smithi brachypelma smithi good docile tarantula good for beginners. Common Name: Mexican Red knee tarantula

  • Why does she never use scientific names rather than common names, common names just lead to confusion lol there are over 10 T's which can go buy the name chilean rose. lol she even thinks a GBB is an old world T

  • Generalizing 'New World species' as being docile isn't a good idea... Psalmopoeus, Ephebopus, Iridopelma, and Nhandu to name a few, are genera full of mean tarantulas.. Pslamopoeus are some of the most defensive in the hobby.

Brachypelma are good if you don't mind getting a face full of urticating hair.

Green Bottle Blue (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens) are New World and not very defensive, they're just fast.

Tarantulas in general are not "aggressive", they are defensive.

    Stupid video.

  • jon3800!

  • The green bottle blue is not an old world species nor is it aggressive. The Chilean rose is a very moody tarantula. Now she is right by saying mexican red knees are good but she doesn't mention Avicularia species or ahopelmas, or most brachypelmas are very good starting species.

  • P.Baeri Ok for a starter??

  • @zeroshinta I would say no if you want to handle it. Being old world and pack a nasty bite. Go for an avicularia avicularia, Brachypelmas smithi, albolosum, Grammostola pulchripes or Grammostola pulcher or even a green bottle blue ( They are new world unlike the video states) . If you want help private message me i got my first one 2 years ago now i have 27

  • Comment removed

  • The pink toe is also a great starter species.

  • @81pluto true just got my pink toe

  • I have not yet watched an "expert" village video that is the least bit accurate..

  • the greenbottle blue iz frm south america

  • WTF Brachypelma Smithi is not easy to get ther can be expensive and stocks are low because it is not legal to have wild caught one i live in the UK and they are somtimes over 50 pounds but in the USA i have heard that they can be over $150. Gramostilia Rosea is not a good starter because you can often get "freak" rose hairs my female is more agressive than some of my pokies lol. the one i would recomend is one a bit less know he zebra knee tarantula. Also a goliath is a new world lol docile.

  • I heard the brazillian salmon pink is the #1 best choice for begginers I looked it up in google Mexican Red Knee is the 3rd best

  • a little better than the other videos. In the other ones she makes it seem like she is a retard. I have 2 old world tarantulas as my second additions. Poecilotheria ornata (fringed ornamental) and Psalmopeus irminia (Venezuelan sun tiger). My third addition (mentioned in the video) was an H. gigas (red baboon). Most aggressive so far is my ornata

  • Wait, sense when is the Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens considered an aggressive species?

  • *since*

  • @WHollabaugh ever since it tried to bite me 5k times

  • I thought at the end she was going to say up your ass

  • last time I checked, GBBs are new world species.. Rosies have terrible mood swings and Avicularias arent even mentioned (which is IMO THE BEST beginner species ever)

  • Thank you. Definitely worth watching :)

  • I'd go up her alley

  • if we live in Arizona will it live in room tempature and can they kill u im only 9 but 10 in june :)

  • @prestonmehungry11 it depends on what kind you get and im not exceperinced in tarantula's im more on the reptile side but looking for new branches.

  • what about a goliath is that aggresive?

  • yes and expensive

  • @IRankNintendoWell dude even if they're not they're fucking huge o.o...lol it depends the femals seem to be more agressive than males

  • Mexican red knees can run upwards of $250, they arent that cheap

  • really? where are you shopping? that's really bad!

  • she looks very tense lol

  • thanks for the video very helpful info

  • GBBs are newworld and their not that aggressive. Just nervous

  • i hate the way she speaks.. and pronounces words. she needs a lecture class or something or memorize her shit before saying

  • yep ive left a comment before on her speakin, geez, and when you get a word wrong, dont go back and say it again or say it in a different tone because you werent satisfied woman! geez, thats blatantly unproffesional

  • johnpaultreehopper, you're such a bumboy, you blatently don't know shit...

  • how do i get over my fear of them first?

  • how do I get over my fear of them first?

my body shivers just watching videos of them lol

  • green bottle blues are new wrold located in veninswala south america

  • oh and btw STOP SAYING CHARANCHULA :D it's tarantula fuckin hell :D

  • @ XxnEr0xXxMaNexX: LMAO! "charanchula" nice one xD

  • the Pterinochilus murinus or usumbara is one of the most agressive and fast tarantulas and I started with one ! :D suck on that !

  • the greenbottle blue tarantula look awesome

  • GBB arnt old world or aggressive

  • green bottle blues are not very aggressive

  • no one has died from a tarantula bite so STFU TannerShow

  • uem no see you dont buy an old world species after buying a rosey or red knee thats just stupid do you guys actually have any idea how fast and agressive old world species are ?? judging by your video no you dont and GBB being very aggressive my arse every GBB iv seen is skidish not aggressive theres a big diffrence ... Avic Avic is also a good starter species and more .... god your videos are so full of it heey guys here try this

  • Actually she does know. She is a Curator of an Invertebrate Zoo, and takes care of over 1200 tarantulas. Not to mention she is an Entomologist. what are you? A geek who owns a tarantula, and may have read a how to care for manual?

  • urm no i didnt read from a "manual care sheet coz there also full of shit" oh haha oh yes maybe she does no oh wait no she dunt she has a G.Rosea there in a tank were it can and will climb and i wonder what happens if it fell "SPLAT" an injured tarantula not to mention the fact she also recomends a "OW SPECIES" as a second tarantula for beginners yea im sure she noes wat she doing and im mre than sure in the time iv been in the hobby iv handled and cared alot mre than that

  • oh n she also blatenatly states that every tarantula is exactly the same NO THEY ARE NOT there all diffrent simple as that oh n yea i also breed tarantulas oh wait im a geek for the fact that i do not "TRY" and kill my tarantula's off like she does not to mention this video is very missleading say what ya want mate but the fact is she is an idiot putting somthing so fragile in uneccessary danger "Were" the hight of the cage so smart arse do your research before digging at any hobbyist

  • @johnpaultreehopper So the "Entomologist dosen't know that a GBB is a new world species?? And what the hell is this phrasing: "their less aggressive AND very docile"?? Fact is she's a dumbass. Face it. No wait... I'll listen to her and go handle my T.Blondi who's hissing at me right now. Dosen't matter she's a NW species! They are less aggressive and very docile......And damn now i'm freaking scared of avicularia's!

  • @johnpaultreehopper, no offense, but she doesnt talk like she knows much about tarantula's. same thing with feeding them. crickets the best? no way. B. dubia's contain more nutricion then. like 1 roach is better then 5 crickets. also what about the crickets ability to bite? they can easily mess up a T wich is molting for example

  • i was gunna get hte mexican red knee

  • *cough* public speaking lessons *cough*

  • I would like to buy the big spider from Lord of the Rings

I would feed it homeless bums

  • shelob lol

  • @chanchan84 XD lol

  • @chanchan84 Man don't feed it homless bums are you stupid?! You don't know where those bums have been. It might get your turantula sick.

  • @chanchan84 nice comment lol

  • @chanchan84 you are my hero sir.

  • @chanchan84 LOL ME TO.

  • @chanchan84 Yeah sounds like a cool pet, who needs a gurad dog when you have a giant spider with four fangs and a stinger in its abdomen.

  • My Rose hair is one of the most agressive T's i've ever encountered

  • if you think g.rosea is agressive than you never saw an agressive spider in your life.type on google or youtube haplopelma lividum, king baboon or theraphosa blondi(worlds larggest spider with his 12" or 30,5 cm huge LS) than you will se what is agressive

  • t.blondis arent aggresive there quite gentle however being bit by one is not nice, i had one around 6 inches so not fully grown bite my hand, still had huge fangs and hurt a hell of alot! venom on them isnt too bad tho

  • @danielcharles92

rose hairs are very agressive Ts

theyr just cheap in most places

I think curly hairs are probably the most docile

  • @danielcharles92 try and lower the temperature a touch dude

sometimes if their enclosure is too warm they can get very moody and often aggressive :P

  • new word spiders none aggressive tell that to my female Aphonopelma seemanni who is like a OBT with attitude

  • i desperatley want a goliath birdeater however i havnt had a pet tarantula before although my friend has a turantulahe is happy to let me keep for a while as he is going on holiday so i need advice on wether it is a good idea for me to get a goliath considering i have kept a tarantula before and am used to there behavihour? i have also researched the goliaths food, habitat etc

  • Don't blame you dude they are SOOOOOOOOO AWESOME.

  • Well the golith is very big so you nee a big tank 10 gallons at least, live crickets, and soil, and if you have a tropical specie mist the soil daily

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! try to raise a spiderling before you try those.

  • 她提供了大量的虚假信息...

  • I am an aussie and we can't get anything other then aussie Ts I have an old world that is not aggresive at all...

  • Im currently doing a breeding progect , with theraphosa blondi and scolopendra subsinipes dehanni . gbb arnt agressive a bit skitty thats abought it .

  • There has never been a documented death from a tarantula bite. A Green Bottle blue is new world. The best way to get ACCURATE information on tarantulas is to look up care in a tarantula forum, each different SPecies has different requirements and MANY petstores are off a bit on their info, thinking care is like a reptile, which it is not. My advice is to google ANY tarantula forum to get accurate advice on how to care for your pet.

  • B. smithi (mexican red knee) are very expensive, and also there are a TON of new world tarantulas that are mean, like golaiths, suntigers, and pamphobeteus, lasiadora, haitian browns, megaphobelmas, lasiadores, Nhadu are all aggressive :p

  • and acanthoscurria :D

  • B. smithi are not that expensive. i bought mine for around 25$

  • lol this woman is a dumb bitch, the green bottle blue is a new world tarantula.

  • This girl is an idiot and doesn't know shit. A lot of new world tarantulas are very aggressive.

  • fuck lady spit it out

  • If i get a rose hair can i hold him??????

  • Yes

  • I can't get a goliath bird eater!!!!!!??????

  • WTF!? Why a GOLIATH TARANTULA!?!?

A small, red-knee would be ok for me :|

  • no store or breeder EVER removes the venom glands from a T

  • What the hell are you talking about?!?!?! That's like I would remove your teeth and gave you old bread to eat. You have basicaly killed the tarantula if you remove her fangs. You shouldn't be takling stuff you don't know anything about.

  • venom gland are not in there teeth

  • yeah but guess where it is??? pretty much impossible to remove it from there w/o losing teeth..and Atrax..That's like I would remove your teeth and gave you old bread to eat....would'nt steak be harder to eat???no cutlery? :P

    I woulda said steak :P

  • That's BS!! Without them, the tarantula will not feed.

  • u got nice videos, but i wonder how u can talk that much.

Is there someone with a script behind the camera xD

  • Wow she just repeated the same thing about four times....

  • Tarantulas are badass.

  • in the end i thought she was going to say "up your ass"

  • hi i was wondering if the mexican red knee is poisoness to humans?ive seen one at our local pet shop and i'm planning to get one.

    thanks...

  • no tarantula is poisoness to humans unless you are alergic to them. their bite is like a bee sting.

  • Yeah, you get bit by a Colbalt Blue Tarantula, or a Goliath bird eater or the Brazilian wandering tarantula, even though they're not poisonus they WILL kill you...

  • if you're allergic to their venom

  • a cobalt blue or goliath will kill you? lol wut?

no tarantula as far as i know will kill you.

also just so you know poisonous = something deadly which is consumed

venomous = something deadly which is injected

  • actually venomous means a creature capable of emitting or injecting venom. poisonous refers to any creature that can cause pain to another creature through the release of a chemical in any way

  • no! they can't kill u! a P.Regalis will kill u

  • Comment removed

  • Even if you are allergic, they will not kill you.

  • Cheak my vid of my p regalis female on my dads face .

  • definately not. send you to the hospital? maybe. but not kill you. NO tarantula will kill you.

  • not true

some species have a powerful nerve poison which can send you into paralysis and kill you

  • not unless you are allergic. even the hederoscodra maculata could definately put you in the hospital, but not kill you.

  • oh your right i keep mistaking funnel webs as tarantulas

  • how

  • Acutally, Every spider is poisonous because of the venom.

But tarantulas (other then the ornamentals probably) wont lay you in the hospital.

  • i think she meant Cobalt blue instead of green bottle blue

  • red knees are pretty...pretty expensive!

  • i really like the videos on tarantula's. they give good advice and they help me learn much more than i did know before! I am super glad that you make these videos.

  • you just repeated yourself like 3 times GET A BIRD EATING SPIDER OR FUNNELWEB!

  • do u know how can i see is my tarantula male or female when they are small 3cm (l. larahybana)

  • Witch is a better pet a Mexican fire leg or a Mexican red knee? in beauty, handling(aggression),Breeding,& less costly?

  • my rosie is a psycho.

my golden knee, who is almost 7 inches, is a sweetheart.

it sometimes just depends on the tarantula itself.
