My formal introduction to Damu was the beat that begins at 3:33 ("1993 Pete"), which I got from his Web site before it went down. It was so beautiful that I CRIED because it was so nice to hear REAL hip-hop that was brand-new. That Brazilian tropicalismo sample is so amazing, too—love those doo-doo voices—and I would really like to know which song that is 'cause I actually want to listen to the original as well. Amazing job changing its original 6/4 time signature into head-nodding 4/4. Peace.
