they should use the boss (mgs3), she is where it all began for snake, i think there is still alot of untold story left of her, like her and her team's involvement in WW2, also her dad, her baby.
They could do way more with solid snake. What about the philanthropy missions? They could redo Metal gear, and Metal Gear: solid snake too. They could remake any of the previous games. I bet they will in the future. They could also reveal past missions we do not know about.

olso, in mgs1 liquid tells snake they were origonaly octoplets. 8 of em! we get told only 2 survive. liquid and solid. in mgs3 we find a 3rd survived. solidus. seems a bit of a pussy way out of a loophole but they potentualy have 5 spinoffs to exploit.

I hope Kojima carries out his idea of The Boss in MGS5. Normandy and the Cobra unit, developing CQC with Snake, infiltrating the Soviet Union, The Mercury Project. All that, and then end the game with The Boss' perspective of Operation Snake Eater (the last cut scene being Snake standing over you with the Patriot). It seriously could have the potential of being the best MGS title.

@bobsamurai Solid, Liquid and Solidus are all clones of Big Boss, but neither Liquid or Solid have the same genetics as Big Boss, in my opinion the whole "accelerated aging" was too quick, they should of made one or too more with solid then gave in, i like the idea of Reiden been a playable character, especially in the cybersuit and with the sword, but it too furturistic in some sense and its not a good thing, thats my opinion, they should remake the nitendo version, and the first mgs.

One thing they could do (Konami & Kojima) is in the next game, incorporate something into the story where they've found a cure to stop which slows down or reverses the aging from the Foxdie virus. Maybe even make part of the game where you control Otacon or someone else where you have to make the vaccine for Solid Snake.
I actually kinda agree with you on the idea that they should do another game like MGS3 cuz i did like the idea of like survival techniques being implemented in a video game. And I did like playing as Big Boss and getting to know him more. And with the PS3, Hideo Kojima could do so much more than what he did in MGS3 for the PS2

Well, after MGS2 there are a few un answered questions about how the story takes a turn in mgs4. About Solid snake, about Raiden, about Big Boss. Un answered questions are fulled to the brim about so many characters in this series that mgs can make ten more games answering questions. My first starts back on Son of Liberty. Why was the situation for Raiden to confront his demons with Solidus Snake? (Big Boss Clone) Why was Snake playing a minor role for Raiden? Mgs needs to bring alot to light.
Anyone ever think that Raiden is The Sorrow & The Joys son. She did have her baby taken away and Riaden's parents are never mentioned in the story. Plus Riaden was born into the military.

I absolutely agree with every single thing you said. True, they couldn't really do anything with Solid Snake anymore but I do want to see more Big Boss. His story after Peace Walker. It's a big whole. And when Sunny asked where is Snake and Otacon said that he isn't coming back. The expressions you're looking for is CHILLS! And about Big Boss' salute, knowing that only he knows the true about The Boss. Carrying that rock like that. It's more then a man can take. Words cannot describe the story.

I think they should redo the story modes but from the point of views of of all three clones. We have played as Big Boss and solid, I want to play as solidus next. He is the most unelaborated in the series. IMO

I would like remakes for mg1 and mg2 but not neccessary. I hope they dont give Meryl the spotlight. I rather it be a new protag. In truth mgs needs to be left alone. If you're not playing as Snake, then it won't be true Kojima MGS. I think Rising proves that. I know it's probably a controversial thing to say, but they really do need to make remakes of Metal Gear 1 and 2. They could make them similar to Twin Snakes, but Hideo being the genius that he is, should come up with an innovative way to remake these pixellated classics.

To me that sounds awesome, how many ideas they can draw from that? Wonderful. And the Cobra Unit, I would love to continue learning about them, especially the relationship between The Boss(Joy) and The Sorrow and how they acquired their emotions in battle.

Idk why people can't just let things come to an end. Metal Gear should've ended with 4 (granted, Peace Walker was one of the best in the series). People beg for more and more and more and more and more, but when they get more they complain about how bad it becomes. Look at Resident Evil, people begged for a RE5 and when they got it they complained about how terrible that shit was. Yet they begged for a 6th installment to "compensate" for how bad 5 was. Smh

Personnaly i would love to see a remake of the original Metal Gear. It would be weird since we know whats gonna happen but i always wanted to see the first encounter of solid snake with big boss and also there is room to develop Gray Fox a bit more.
But hey, as long as its a Hideo Kojima Metal Gear game, im pretty sure its not gonna dissapoint.
In my opinion you should play as Otacon, as he has to go around all sneaky and looking at things with attitude like "It's like one of my japanese animes!" That would be the awesomeness :D

This is one of the few ways I see the Metal Gear story progressing for a least another 3-4 games. And wouldn't that be some sick shit? To see Raiden continue, and to see two more grow into. The daughter of Olga. An insane computer "EVERYTHING" at thee puny age of like 8-9. Imagine what her story would grow into, and how it might even travel back to the times of Legends. And then the son of thee most sickest freakin agile, cheetah agility moving ninja. Think how they might intertwine or flourish.
All the Metal Gears are almost unmatched in story line compared to any game. One of the few rivals I ken think of in terms of story line that comes close is thee Assassins Creed series. A lot of good points made but I don't think they ken continue with Big Boss due to the fact he dies at the end of 4. It would be sick though. My opinion in short. I think they should go on and continue the Metal Gear series through Raiden, as they do in Metal Gear Rising. And through his son John, and Sunny.
They should bring in a new character like in MGS2 with Raiden and have him team up with Otacon and in some point in the game ether they fine out snake is alive or have flash backs or maybe even have someone trying to clown snake and they have to stop it or something like that ... You could also follow one of the many characters the MGS has to offer like Big Boss, The Boss, Gray Fox, Vamp, Ocelot and so on...... There are many possibilities of different games that Kojima could make....
I think they should bring some1 new into the picture as the hero & make Solid(Old) Snake B on the codec side giving the hero advice if Snake is still alive. OR they could have the new hero, as ur plain thru the game, have little flashback scenes where Snake was training the hero, & keep on playing.
Also What about EVA? And ADAM? Ocelot in MGS3 Was ADAM and EVA was really a spy for the Chinese, So what happened to the real EVA? If you watch all the movies in between gameplay even those sneaky ones after the credits They really open alot of directions this story can take place..

What if MGS5 takes place in WWII because big boss was around then and maybe the cobra unit will be involved. In mgs3 snake wasn't surprised about the superpowered cobra unit so he probably dealed with supernatural enemies earlier like idk the bosses in mgs5 could be Hitler's henchmen and since he was obsessed with the supernatural they probably had powers? Just a theory. Also it would coincide with when he first met the boss and first became an agent.
A game about the Boss at Normandy in ww2. Or a prequel about how Frank Jeager achieved the code name Grey Fox. Or a remake of Metal Gear, about Snake as a rookie and Big Boss' betrayal... would be deep and very story driven.

I absolutely agree with every single thing you said. True, they couldn't really do anything with Solid Snake anymore but I do want to see more Big Boss. His story after Peace Walker. It's a big whole. And when Sunny asked where is Snake and Otacon said that he isn't coming back. The expressions you're looking for is CHILLS! And about Big Boss' salute, knowing that only he knows the true about The Boss. Carrying that rock like that. It's more then a man can take. Words cannot describe the story.

I think they should redo the story modes but from the point of views of of all three clones. We have played as Big Boss and solid, I want to play as solidus next. He is the most unelaborated in the series. IMO

@GavinStrnad In the game it says that time period was during the Cold War, if you think about it (and have played MGS 1 and 2) Then that would make you curious as to how "Snake" in MGS 3 looked the exact same (in the future) in MGS 2. The modern Snake is actually just a clone of Big Boss, which it tells you (or hints at) in MGS 4. Learning anything? Lol

If you're not playing as Snake, then it won't be true Kojima MGS. I think Rising proves that. I know it's probably a controversial thing to say, but they really do need to make remakes of Metal Gear 1 and 2. They could make them similar to Twin Snakes, but Hideo being the genius that he is, should come up with an innovative way to remake these pixellated classics.

Rising is just a fail because Kojima gave up on his development team and was like...this is too hard...lets make it completely different cause we're lazy, we'll even change the story to make it easier.

I heard from somewhere and I believe a valuable source but I've forgotten where that The Boss will be the protagonist of MGS5, and it will be about the Cobra Unit and The Boss during WWII.
To me that sounds awesome, how many ideas they can draw from that? Wonderful. And the Cobra Unit, I would love to continue learning about them, especially the relationship between The Boss(Joy) and The Sorrow and how they acquired their emotions in battle.

Idk why people can't just let things come to an end. Metal Gear should've ended with 4 (granted, Peace Walker was one of the best in the series). People beg for more and more and more and more and more, but when they get more they complain about how bad it becomes. Look at Resident Evil, people begged for a RE5 and when they got it they complained about how terrible that shit was. Yet they begged for a 6th installment to "compensate" for how bad 5 was. Smh

I read somewhere that the Boss is a possible playable char in a prequel where she fights along the cobras in ww2 (i wouldnt bet my life on that:P)
Personnaly i would love to see a remake of the original Metal Gear. It would be weird since we know whats gonna happen but i always wanted to see the first encounter of solid snake with big boss and also there is room to develop Gray Fox a bit more.
But hey, as long as its a Hideo Kojima Metal Gear game, im pretty sure its not gonna dissapoint.

This is one of the few ways I see the Metal Gear story progressing for a least another 3-4 games. And wouldn't that be some sick shit? To see Raiden continue, and to see two more grow into. The daughter of Olga. An insane computer "EVERYTHING" at thee puny age of like 8-9. Imagine what her story would grow into, and how it might even travel back to the times of Legends. And then the son of thee most sickest freakin agile, cheetah agility moving ninja. Think how they might intertwine or flourish.

All the Metal Gears are almost unmatched in story line compared to any game. One of the few rivals I ken think of in terms of story line that comes close is thee Assassins Creed series. A lot of good points made but I don't think they ken continue with Big Boss due to the fact he dies at the end of 4. It would be sick though. My opinion in short. I think they should go on and continue the Metal Gear series through Raiden, as they do in Metal Gear Rising. And through his son John, and Sunny.

They should bring in a new character like in MGS2 with Raiden and have him team up with Otacon and in some point in the game ether they fine out snake is alive or have flash backs or maybe even have someone trying to clown snake and they have to stop it or something like that ... You could also follow one of the many characters the MGS has to offer like Big Boss, The Boss, Gray Fox, Vamp, Ocelot and so on...... There are many possibilities of different games that Kojima could make....

Here are my ideas:
1. Metal Gear Solid World War- you play as the boss and her story in WWII
2. Metal Gear Solid 5- You play as big boss and gather frank jeager, ocelot, and the others and start FOXHOUND
3. Remake MG1 and 2 as two separate games and tell the story of snakes beginning at FOXHOUND and Big Bosses betrayal.

What if MGS5 takes place in WWII because big boss was around then and maybe the cobra unit will be involved. In mgs3 snake wasn't surprised about the superpowered cobra unit so he probably dealed with supernatural enemies earlier like idk the bosses in mgs5 could be Hitler's henchmen and since he was obsessed with the supernatural they probably had powers? Just a theory. Also it would coincide with when he first met the boss and first became an agent.
