  • Fantastico

  • is that Jimmy on drums?

  • @DizzyPuke yep. Seeing them in November, shame he won't be there.

  • great hits of the 90's

  • Fantastic song and video, which seems quite similar to "Seaweed under the sofa" video? Or is it just me!

  • Fantastic song and video, which seems quite similar to "Seaweed under the sofa" video? Or is it just me!

  • ƃ7ƃpsdɟd4ɔz=ʌ¿ɥɔʇɐʍ/ɯoɔ˙ǝqnʇnoʎ˙ʍʍʍ//:dʇʇɥ Fantastic video and song, I think this video is quite similar "Seaweed under the sofa"? What do you think?

  • If you want to listen to the studio version of The Smashing Pumpkins "Tonight Tonight" listen to Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, and if you want to hear a musician that lip sync go to a Britney Spears concert. A real musician sounds more raw live, than they do in studio because the preform live and don't lip sync to a CD.

  • @nicholsjoshua15 The only problem I have with your statement is you called that slut a musician. She is nothing but a glorified lap dance

  • I am loving this version

  • what a neat song but totally fucked up by billy corgans unkempt voice..why not let the girls sing this one billy and when it calls for a vocal fart then you go !

  • @nootaramus complete and utter drivel you are talking

  • can someone explain to me....how the germans.....get so many f***ing people....to show up to these shows...

  • @cgnetwork1 there are few major cities surrounded bysmall towns, wen a concert comes to frankfurt they swam in from large parts of gemany.besides the trains are still safe.

  • @1robinj Thank you for actually answering me and not being sarcastic :D

  • billy corgan can't sing. that's what makes his performance so damn amazing. people who say otherwise didn't listen to much smashing pumpkins or grunge in general i assume.

  • I am confused as to how people think Billy fucked up this performance?

  • @damosanchex i dont know, honestly billy could had created the fucking Beatles and people would still find a way to bitch

  • i really love this song but i would have to say, this version sounds horrible

  • Hope when I die all my friends gave me the last goodbye with that song!

  • it's a very good song!

  • This is my favourite song in the world, but Billy Corgan fucked up this performance, the mtv one is my favourite

  • Is the singer sick or something? Because his tone is entirely too bright (what musically uneducated people call "Nasal") and not nearly dark enough. 0.o But the instrumentalists are amazing though...! ^^

  • @DC11961 are you claiming to be musically educated? Billy Corgan's singing voice is naturally nasal sounding therefore there's nothing wrong with it.

  • wow. Goosebumps....

  • Love the Pumpkins!!!Love Billy!!! I love his voice, so unique!!Love it...=)

  • Love the Pumpkins!!!Love Billy!!!

  • da war ich live dabei nur wegen Smashing Pumpkins

  • This band can make me cry.. And that's why I LOVE them :)

  • 16 people listen to justin bieber

  • 25 November in Lima....Finally!!!!!

  • I love it!

  • well if you could understand what he was saying it would help. he sounds like his nut sack is bound up in his jockeys.

I think the song is a bout a heroin ..but I could be wrong.

  • @nootaramus

    Heroin? Really man. Fail.

  • @nootaramus : Wrong. This song is about Chicago.

  • is the song in a different tuning?

  • @danmang92 to me clearly not

  • Best song of all time.

  • I wanna go to one of their concerts so bad...

And I also want to learn to play guitar

    And start a band

    And Follow their footprints...

...just a short list of things to come lol

  • I was there, have amazing photos... Thanx Billy & crew, Thanx Rock am Ring!!!

  • Uncle Fester sings?

  • @TuneInTurnOnDropOutt hey that's not a nice thing to say.

  • lip sync

  • @jamie2stix it is out of sync Mr Big Brain

  • @jamie2stix lol get slamm'd?

  • @jamie2stix nah its just the audio and video arent in sync so it gives the illusion

  • i wish there was a 'love' button instead of just a 'like'

    this song is epic.

  • k hermosa cancion

  • there are many great bands and musicans still out there, you just haven't met them.. it's very possible for a mainstream return!!

  • james is the best

  • well, maybe is WAS sick, and gave everything he had. Ya never know. Lots of artists get up there with a huge fever, even with soar throats and colds.

  • Gingers voice sounds so beautiful as back up singer!!

  • Professor X is weird

  • LOL

  • Corgan just doesn't seem to have put any soul into the performance of this song. Great song though.

  • do you put your heart and soul into your work every day? be honest!

  • I never put heart and soul into WORK. And if he can't deliver that same soul into a song because its work for him, he needs to leave that song alone until he can feel it again. Or else he is simply cheating his audience out of a real performance.

  • that's just the way he is

  • @musicbox4249 Hey also has one of the best jobs possible

  • @musicbox4249 rockstars dont life to work , they work for life

  • Is Billy wearing a Kimono?

  • why gets dis version 5 stars? i love pumpkins, but I think this version of tonight is a bit - loveless...corgan is also singing very bad at this show..it sounds like he is sick..

  • worst crowd ever...

  • oh shit ginger looked liked darcy for a second

  • hes definately lost some of his singing skills but i still look up to this guy. hes great at what he does.

  • Haha, I don't remember him having many singing "skills".. Sounds like standard Corgan live to me..

  • i wouldn't call his singing worse. as far as being on key, he's gotten a lot better, but he's lost some of his intensity.

  • the pumpkins are great tonight ls an iconic track of oone of the best albums of all time they are better than nirvana .

  • Technically, way better ^^

  • write this blasfemy in another place... shy!

  • shut up and think twice before writing something like this!

  • the best song ever made

  • his voice is fuked up

  • Well it is live. Billy certainly wouldn't be the first vocalist to fail to match a studio recording, especially one recorded 12 years ago.

  • no, now he is fucked up, yaers before he was better live than studio. see also: robert plant

  • lol why does it look like his voice is not matching the words?

  • Because the audio is off. Couldn't read the description to the video?

  • glad some people still like this kind of music. Hopefully it will come back to life someday

  • @dontlooktooclose I think it will in the next couple years , local shows i go to now i'm seeing alot of alternative rock!!!

  • @dontlooktooclose the best...I miss the alternative era..1991-2000, music not that same since RIP

  • @EmitFlestiKY Yes it was gone when Green Day came during the 1994 and simply MTV fucked up music for everyone with its heavy emphasis on rap and hip-hop!

  • @dontlooktooclose As long as people still like this kind of music, it will never die.

  • @dontlooktooclose I take it you mean good, meaningful, original music?

  • I can't tell if you're talking about the bassist who is also singing, or the lack of synchronization. If you notice, even the drums are off, which you CANNOT do in a live performance, so its video synchronization, which he even states in his description. As for the bassist singing, in the studio version, he layered his own voice in that part, which he did a lot for Mellon Collie.

  • Epic Pumpkins tune thanks

  • The synchronization kinda makes this funny...

  • What rock have you been hiding under for the past 15 years?

  • i havent been into these guys i just liked the song. and imjust asking im more into whats in my profile. its that simple if you really want ed to know

so i just want a simple fucking answer if thats not hard

  • Well, then maybe you should have done a simple fucking search and found out the answer, eh?

You also don't have to be into Smashing Pumpkins to know who Billy Corgan is. He's everywhere.

  • Sorry these guys are being idiots to you. Billy Corgan is an AMAZING singer/guitarist/songwriter, so fans get a little defensive around people who haven't heard of him. He began shaving his head for a vampirish look around 1998. The robe is the "Zeitgeist" uniform, which basically assembles all the negative symbols of the time into one. You should really look deeper into the Smashing Pumpkins, if these idiots haven't already scared you away.

  • ngentot

  • is the singer wearing gown???

  • i think it's like a sci-fi coustume; see the music video- there's a sort of connection.

  • u r so damn right dude :) smashing pumpkins...band taking me to my childhood so often...

  • yeaah! im happy someone else feels the same :D

  • If he was trying to be Kurt Cobain, he would be wearing a sweater, have long hair, and some scruff on his face.

There is no connection to Nirvana.

  • well that's not a dress and both bands have been around for just as long of a time

  • there is definately a connection to nirvana.

    Same time, same area.

And billy corgan had something with courtney love :P

  • oh gosh...amazing song...amazing voice...fucking perfect!

  • fucken amazing live!!!

amazing band and talent. This song is sooo beautiful!

  • I saw them a couple weeks before this show, at Pinkpop 2007! I had been waiting so long to see them, but it was worth the wait! Opening song "Today" damn that gave me goosebumps! This song is one of their best!

  • fuckin amazin band, great song, great live, one of the best bands ever xoxo xxx

  • Amazing!, it gives me the goosebumps...

  • same ere

  • Just awesome, as always. God, I wish Billy would ditch the dresses though. Jeans and the zero shirt would be way better.

  • Well, whatever he's comfortable in, it's none of my business.

  • It's just the video, SP will never lip sync

  • Smasing Pumpkins would never lip synch.

that's a travesty that you would even say that.

    fool.

  • wow they are really unsynched.

  • no,the audio is unsynched. look at the drums and the guitars, the audio-video timing is off.

  • It's called lip syncing. and theyr not, the video and audio are just out

  • amazing, i love this song and smashing pumpkins! <3

  • i was there :]

  • *_____* i envy you

  • This song reminds me of the 90's.

  • A Legend they are ... They started somethin that is carved on our soul forever. As we grew up with one of the best band on earth to date. Still there today playing those songs for us when so many other bands abandoned their fans... Pumpkins are here today, faithful and still rockin our worlds ! P.S - Ginger ! I'm still waitin for your phone number dammit ! :)

  • I think like you. Shitty music.Ok, AGREE. But you forgot some notable exceptions as: -The Police. -The Smiths. -Queen ( it was them age ..) -Aerosmith -David Bowie -Boy George...( hahaha just kidding). -INXS ( eye with this !) -Michael Jackson ( whatever...he/she black/white freak rocks !) -Kool and the gang -U2 (. .)! So. You must open for a while your mind and dont be an AZZ. Cheers ppl.
  • Michael Jackson likes to touch little kids and queen was pretty much 70s dude. The fact is the most popular music back then was a bunch of god awful hair bands, the only one having any talent at all probably being guns n roses.

  • Well, to be honest, it isnt my favourite band, but already they didnt suck at all. They were nice bands, i mention `em.

80's were a totally plastic freaks age.

    ;)

  • gnr is one of the most overrate bands of all time. slash is only true musician. 80s was not a good time for quality music. it was the time that pop music came to center stage.

  • lets just say it depends what you qualify as the best band ever~

  • 80s? You mean the era of thrash metal? Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer ringin any bells here?? as well as prog like Dream Theater???

  • GnR was good, and im wit iceman jesus. but don't forget that green day started in the late 80's

  • nice i miss their song glad their back omfg !!!

  • That bald son of a bitch is a god. Huge inspiration and influence. They were so amazing live

  • Rush started in the 70's but came out with sum good stuff in 80's. Although I agree 80's sucked not because it didn't produce enough good music. It just produced way to much gay and unbelievably ugly music.

  • wow this could be my new favorite smashing pumpkins song

  • oh yeah and i forgot, I am pretty sure Rush is from the 70's as well. SO of all the bands you named, only metallica was from that tiem period. You really shouldn't post and angry response before you think a little. Or maybe you really dont know anything about rock, not quite sure

  • wasnt rush from the 80s?

  • he was REALLY good at hard rock cafe

  • I think billy might be finally learning how to sing, (or use his voice. )

    a loyal fan

  • their are so weird thats the great thing!! haha

  • from wich year is this band?

  • They formed around 1989 then broke up in 2000 and returned with another lineup in 2007

  • oohhhh ok , thank you lol

  • probably the best pumpkins song

  • I like his voice better live

  • Is D´arcy Wretzky still with the group?? Her Wiki says she got booted...

  • nope she's not. she either quit or got fired in 1999. Ginger Reyes has taken her place.

  • whats with 90's bands and their female bassists?

  • i dunno, they seem to love 'em

  • don't we all?

  • Of course =P

  • i went and saw them on the tour after this in Detroit @ the Fox. i was a little dissapointed at the end because they played one song off SD. take a guess. the more i look back on it the more dissapointed i am. that being said they played this and it was amazing. i've been a pumpkins fan since hearing the Tristessa single before Gish. seen them 5 times. it's a shame Billy James D'arcy and Jimmy can't put differences aside and tour for the fans =[

  • Haha your funny.

  • your joking right?

  • nope and i stand by what i said i dont think any of you have an open mine just because its not the original doesnt mean someone cant like it better!

  • fuck you r-tard

  • What's an r-tard? You think you're cool throwing around dispersions? If that is what passes for cool these days--I'm glad I'm not a generation x! If S. P. "fans" are obsene, & mean, what does that say about the band??? Fortunately I can listen without prejudice--& other bands do other's music well didn't you ever hear of Eric Clapton doing Jimi Hendrix songs? Would you rag on him? Maybe you were having a bad day--hope this one is better.

  • penhappy101? happy your not from generation X. when were you born, the disco generation? yeah thats super cool man. if you were, you grew up with the worst time period for musical talent in the last one hundred years. stop talkin shit, pussy.

  • dude, i don't think Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd,Rush and Van Halen make up the worst period for music in the last 100 hundred years. why dont you brush up on the classics, and understand why rock sounds the way it does. you wanna disrespect and undermine the pioneers of modern rock, do it somewhere else.

  • Dude, the 80's sucked. Yes there were some good bands, but compared to the 70's and 90's, not much of comparison there. Pioneers of modern rock were not from the 80's they were from the 60's and 70's. Plus pink floyd started out in the mid 60's, Van halen started in the 70's. Sabbath started late 60's. Iron Maiden (mid 70's). SO basically you don't know what your talking about. maybe you need to brush up a bit dumb ass

  • maybe i was talking about the 70's you dumbass. why on earth would i list 70's bands to defend the 80's?! maybe you have dyslexia and can't read properly. but you should really get your head examined before you talk to someone like me about rock in any way. disco is pretty much a 70's thing and everyone knows that, so just wtf are you trying to say? maybe you should just give up and listen to soulja boy. idiots like you shouldn't be on youtube.

  • Dude stfu. No one wants to hear your faggoty old ass whine about "Them youngsters". You're on the wrong website to complain about Generation X.

  • the vocals!!! cannot get any better than corgans. urie sucked badly when he sung sins&tra at the vmas.

  • They still haven't topped Mellon Collie...it's their defining album.

  • 110 percent correct.

  • machinas not bad though

  • i love this song !!

  • hehe, thier concert in norway lastet in 3 houser XD but they are one of hell of a live band!

  • damn Jimmy is great with those drums

And b0lly, what's with the dresses?
