You have a pleasant, smooth, earthy, natural cornhusk quality to your singing voice (the sound of a person's speaking voice is often very different from the way the sound when singing.) And yes, it's certainly reminiscent of Bob Segar's voice. Do you do any Tom Petty, per chance??? John Mellencamp? Bob Dylan? Paul Simon?

learn to breath from BELOW the diaphragm- and keep your throat open, and don't try to project the high notes through your nose.

Pretty good sonofa gun. The worst mistake people make when doing a cover is putting their own spin on the song. Your own artistic ability can be greatly displayed on your original tracks, but the point of an 'up and comer' covering a song is emulation. Did a great job man!
