Thanks for your compliments...unfortunately I cannot make the max patch available for this. It really is a rather large and sloppy patch and unless you had the GR-33 configured exactly the same way I do, it really wouldn't work for you. One of the drawbacks to custom programmed patches. One day I will have something that will work better across the board...stay tuned
Since the Roland GR-33 sends MIDI data, the pitch and velocity (amplitude) are analyzed as MIDI information. There is also duration analysis to decide how fast the objects fly around screen. Also, a chord analyzer was developed to display multiple "strings" when chords that it recognizes are struck
are the MAX patches available for this? i love it, and while i don't know much MAX, it looks great. how is the video processed? ignorant questions, sorry !

That's pretty cool. What are you analyzing in Max? Amplitude and pitch? The Fractalizer patch might be kind of nice to control with a guitar too. :)
