  • horrible

    sorry

  • I don't know man, I'm freaking out!

  • abi en sevdigim video'n :D

  • Ellerin dert gormesin ustam ...

  • Dude. Dude. That sounds frickin' SWEET. It's like an electric OUD. I need to use this sound on my next album! *dances*

  • I bought a shitty Washburn Strat at a flea market for $40 in hopes of selling if for a higher price. This thing is so shitty, half a dozen frets are popping out of it. So if I can't sell this thing, I'm just gonna say "FUCK IT" and defret the guitar.

  • @danecook321 I think you should just bypass selling and make it. I don't play guitar, but I'm thinking of making one anyway just to be a badass.

  • I really like this sound, I've been playing the bass in some Arabic styles and Indian styles as well. Could you tell me what scale you're using? I couldn't really see it because... well there were no fret lines xD

  • hocam perdesiz de yeni ve daha uzun vidolarınızı bekliyoruz süperrrrrr....

  • I can definitely hear the quarter tones. It bothers me that the note isn't quite one or the other on a 12 step scale :-P

  • Manyakk

  • Ud uzerine calistigin belli :) Videolarin mukemmel

  • Awesome

  • sounds like carnatic violin cept twangier

  • harikasın

  • how the hell can u play that thing?!?whithout frets...cuz w frets it's so fuckin easy...

  • it is not impossible, fretless instrument are so common in the middle east so the people there are familiar with this kind of instruments they can play it as people in the west can play fretted guitars and instrumnets

  • Indeed they are, most of us westerners do not learn to play on ear but on sight. Both have advantages, but if you can work them out both you will eventually become better on guitar. I made my own fret-less guitar 15 years ago for extra difficulty I painted the neck black, and it helped me to think outside of the box music-wise, plus you will become better since you have to memorize all positions on ear alone. It's fun, but it's also an aid to become better orientated on guitar.

  • How did the paint affect the tone? What kind of paint did you use? Did you have any chipping problems?

  • sweet vid dude!

  • süpersin! adamımsın!..

  • are you playing on microtones or it's just that you are out of tune lol. It sounds crazy

  • i might be micro's cos it sounds Chinese then country and bak, crazy sheet

  • I'd at least have some inlays in or something to know where I was going. xD

  • maybe on the top side of the neckXD almost every guitar ( even without inlays ) has them usefull for the player, unnoticeable for the audience

  • this an original tune?

    aweomse vid 5/5

  • bi günde ud ziyafeti bekliyoruz .perdesizle harika ama bide udla dinleyelim değil mi..

  • hocam bu da kimsenin aklına gelmez ki ama ya helal.. =)

  • do you get fret buzz?

  • Lol...

  • No frets = No fret buzz

  • No fret buzz but there is a general buzz that you get with playing fretless, but that's part of the sound that you actaully want.

  • you can get neck buzz

  • LOL!! no frets

  • eline sağlık. çok güzel çalmışsın.

  • tenkyu veri mac .)

  • Great sound

  • 1:07 den 1:20 nası çalıon yaa super

  • this fretless can do what a normal guitare cant ! it can emmit the 1/4 of the tone notes ! thats why its sound like oriental music!

  • Normal guitar can do that, you just got to tune it right. But yeah, with practice a fretless can have better range.

  • He plays the guitar with a style as if he is playing an instrument from turkish art music, called "ud" . Thats why the sound is so unique.

Btw, you can google "ud" and get more information.

  • hocam sen kesin ud'da çalıyosunudr:D:D:D:):):):):) bütn videoalrı izledim:):):):):):):)

  • Eline saglik abicim

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • you have tab ?

    kidding, nice playing

  • I am a huge fan of Death metal/black metal etc. But i am also a really big fan of the way eastern music sounds.

The way you played that sounded amazing.

  • Sounds like a Sitar with those quartertones ! Aweomse dude :P

  • helal be abi tebrikler

  • abiii eline saglıkk.baktım hep yabancii yorumlar sole turkçe bi yorum yapimm dedimm:)

  • Harikasin!

  • So basically a fretless guitar is a guitar without frets and basically a cross between bass/guitar, generally a lower sound?

    Please correct.

  • Fretless guitar is a guitar without frets. It is correct. I played with lower notes for this song but many people play it with higher notes as well. So, it has nothing to do with bass. The way I play fretless guitar is to play the notes in Turkish style because I am from Turkey. The notes could be played several different styles. So, it is a guitar with way more notes than a regular guitar. So, some people like that freedom. I still keep my fretted guitars though.

  • Thank you! Sounds very Middle Eastern, like on a sitar.

  • @turaniko This is really cool—did you make this yourself?

  • @italianstallion0 nope, there are fretless guitars and fretless bass guitars. a fretless guitar is the same as a regular guitar, and you can have different tunings with it, just that it does not have frets

  • good job broo.. keep goin.... yea this is turkish art music...

  • Keep politics out of music, and keep it clean.

  • shut up fuckin greek what do u kno about the music nigga this is turkish mentality of playin notes dnt try to owe everything you see on you tube fuckin theft

  • harika olmuş...

  • hey whats the difficulty on a fretless guitar...

  • lol, no

  • its pretty much an electric guitar without any frets! maybe thats what it is....

    lol

  • i sincerely apologize for that ignorant statement i made.

its juts a guitar without frets (:

and to that uwhatalsrtruediuasn thing, im not black, and thats rather racist.

  • aman allahım bu adam very very crazy huhahah

  • mp3 için vixy com dan url sini yazıp indirebilirsiniz...

  • Awesome!!!

  • süpeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr

  • do fretless axes work wih distortion?

  • yes, but the style that I play wouldn't. European and American guitar players play the fretless guitars differently. I play it in order to get Turkish music notation. I play it like an Oud. So to me a fretless guitar is just like an Oud with a bigger neck. But a western origin guitar player can play the fretless guitar with distiortion.

  • Interesting... what's the difference between turkish notation and north american notation?

  • Oh boy, there are alot of differences. For instance, we use microtones. What I mean by that is, in western notation there is no note between C and C#. In our notation there are 5 notes between C and C#. We have different sharps and flats to define them. And sometimes they are not equally separated. But the disadvantage is we have no structured chords. So the music is in horizontal direction only. Unlike western music is horizontal (melody) and vertical(chords) directions.

  • That;s cool man. I'd like to see some of this on paper. Thanks for the insight.

  • You can goto google and search for the words of TURKISH MUSIC NOTATION. There will be piles of internet pages for that. Middle easterners and Indians use the similar semitones as us. I believe the indian instrument "sitar" has those microtones as well.

  • I'll bet you could get them on a double bass or violin e.t.c

  • Sure thing. But an untrained western ear will not notice these microtones. And once you get a hang of it, they are so addictive, you just cant do without them :)

  • I sure can hear them pretty well. <3 microtones.

  • i can hear it. sounds middle eastern

  • I think rustyhook meant it sounds like a banjo to him, but it actually has more of a Hindi taste

  • this is Turkish Art Music dude..

  • Eline Sağlık..Çok süper olmuş

  • sağoalsın cok iiyi olmuş.

  • cool! you GET it. i've never seen another fretless guitar player try oud style. Other players just play terrible random stuff and try to say it's free jazz.

  • I've always wanted a fretless, I thought playing with frets was a bit wussy, and I"ve been doing that for too long. I'm also a violinist, so I like having no frets and being able to do classical vibrato with a lot of clarity.

  • helal
