My email box is filled everyday with people wanted to represent me/us in these matters FOR FREE. Of course they are doing it for publicity, but I don't want my kids lives played out in the national press, which is exactly what these lawyers would do with it. But I will only be pushed so far.
Sadly, none of this stuff was an issue until the person who I was with for 12 years saw me propose to the person I have been with for a year and a half on national television.
When it comes to my kids, I am not going to sit back and let things just happen. One of the fortunate things about this unfortunate celebrity status, is that I have lawyers all over the country reading this crap.

Seriously. I think most issues in life are bullshit. I usually just let them roll off my back. But when my kids are concerned, or someone is accusing me of not doing the one thing I KNOW I do well, like being a father, I am going to fight back.
I can say that I am extremely happy with the way my life is turning out. I am with a loving and supportive woman, I have spectacular kids who love and adore me as much as I do them, my freelance business is on the verge of taking off, and I am still alive to enjoy it all.
I have taken the time to write privately to Jessica, but it has not helped. I very much wanted to keep arguments and disagreements between us. It has not worked. Obviously, duh.
The shitty thing is, my older two can obviously read this crap online. But even worse... comments on the internet do NOT go away. One day, in the very near future (since i work on reading with the kids everyday), my two youngest ones will be able to read all of this stuff. That is unfortunate.
I am writing this very post just 10 minutes after dropping them off to their mother. So with all of that, because of bitterness and anger, there is an attempt to vilify me in the press. I knew the racist assholes would be running rampant on here, but I never expected people, who were once, and who I still consider, family to try to rip me a new one so hard.
So, lets recap... I have the kids every day, do all the transportation, dress them, feed them, every other weekend and every other Thursday they sleep in the awesome room I have for them in my house, they are with me enough to not only have maintained a phenomenal relationship with me, but also enough to have forged an incredible relationship with their future step-mother, and they are ECSTATIC about the wedding and all that it means.
Like said before, I have my kids EVERY DAY!!! We study together EVERY DAY! We play together EVERY DAY! I feed them EVERY DAY! I pick them up at 6:45 am EVERY DAY! I get them dressed and dropped off to school EVERY DAY! I do this because I love them, and because it makes sense for Jessica and I. I start work later than she does. It just makes sense.
So... am I behind on child support? Yes. Did I pay the money already? Yes. I just want it clarified, because I think it is very unfair that I am being portrayed as someone who does not take care of his children. If there is one thing in this world that I am proud of, it is how close and supportive of my children and their lives.
Since it would have taken days for Jessica to receive her payment (which she would have just turned around and used for my daughters tuition), it was better for me to pay $200 MORE than child support was directly to the school so she didnt get kicked out. I have proof receipts, copies of emails and text messages to verify everything I am saying. So... I paid $200 more than child support dictated, but technically I did NOT give it to the Child Support Agency.
I am ONE MONTH behind on child support! Yes. I said it. I have no excuse, but I do have an explanation. Last month our daughter's school tuition was due. It was $700. I was getting ready to pay child support which is $500. Jessica was out of town, but the school payment was due immediately. I texted/emailed Jessica and we discussed what should be done.
I have my youngest two every day, unless work schedules dictate something else. Dee tries to help with them as much as possible, but Jessica will NOT allow her to even do the same things that she did with my older two when they were younger. I sense and notice a LOT of hypocrisy here. I promised to NEVER let Dee do anything with the younger two that Jessica did not do with the older two.
Jessica was with me the years when I had my older children. She helped tremendously. Bathing, running to events, homework, just general parental types of things. This helped a lot because I was often at work or working on a film or something. It has very irregular hours.
My two oldest children and Dee have an incredible relationship. In their words, as well as their mother's, "they are glad to see me finally, truly happy."
We never did child support because we both decided to keep things as when we were together. If the kids needed something, we took care of it together. While with Jessica, I actually decided one day to make it easier and give the mother of my oldest two child support, although we had that plan in place. Jessica REFUSED to allow that to happen. Since I was with her and wanted to keep her happy, I didn't. I am ashamed of myself for letting that happen.
Jessica and I broke up on very mutual terms. I think our exact words were that we just didnt "like" each other any more. The mother of my oldest two kids and I are incredible friends. She is also friends with Dee. When we split, I kept the kids until she got settled into a place. Not because she was unfit, just because it made sense. Once she got a place and settled in, the kids went to live with her. It was all amenable.
. I actually have not read any, because I did not want to feel the need to respond to negative stuff, but my relatives and friends are keeping me up to date. So, against my better judgment, I am responding. Then I will retreat back into the real world where people have the balls to actually talk to each other.
Okay. I am disgusted with myself for even writing this. I tried as hard as possible to stay out of everything because I did not want to taint the excitement of my engagement with ridiculous arguments. So... I am going to try hard not to be argumentative, but want to lay a couple of things out there. Then I am going back to ignoring all comments.
It's too bad they only reported half of the story, they left out the part about his 4 other kids. 2 of which his mother has had to take custody of. And the other 2 he "can't afford" to pay child support for, funny how he found the money to buy the ring, and pay for the airtime. They also left out the affairs, the cheating, and the inability to hold a job of any kind. I suppose we don't wan that to get in the way of a good news story tho.... This story isn't all it's cracked up to be.
