This is how I do my french tips it's actually the only way and I've been doing it this way since I've been doing my own nails(about 4 yrs) I love this technique

It's much easier and better for your nails if you apply the bottom clear coat first then do the white tips over it. I do that, and it's fine, only the problem is I have finished my white polish, and I need a new one.

i would, but with this technique theres no point, because when i clean up the smile line with acetone, it'll just come off..

i like this, ill have to try it.. i have a middle finger nail that never grows, it just chips every time, would u siggest making the white line for this fat like all the rest even though the real nail isnt that lenght??

it really depends.. im my case.. i would try to make them all the same thickness, regardless.. but i think making your middle finger thicker than the rest would make your nail bed look even smaller!

i have a question tho everytime i buy white nail polish its gooey and gross

a lot of my nail polishes tend to get thick and gooey, but i have this nail polish thinner that i got from sally's, and it really thins it out to its normal consistency! you should try it out! its only like $3-4 =D

WOW!!!! that is soo nice.. you nails look strong .. can you show us how you get/keep them that way! i have been trying to grow mine and it is HARD! that top coat.. does it chip easily? I got a top coat for like 7 buck and it chips sooo fast.. like 2 days and i have to repaint :( (not too practical for a mon)

nope, the top coat i have is only $1 and i seriously swear by it! if i didnt have it, i dont think doing my nails would be fun and fast!

if you've ever had crystal gel, the finish of the top coat i use is exactly like that! and its the only thing i use that after literally 1-2 minutes, i can go and clean my room if i wanted - any my nail polish wouldnt budge!!

i have a friend that uses cotton swabs, too - and it looks nice! but i think using a brush is much faster & it makes the shape more precise!

definitely! try it with a good brush and 100% acetone! i promise youll finish with a clean french tip!
