@SpeedDemons420 For and Economy Car vs. Muscle Car, this is almost expected. Cobalt puts up a hell of a fight. I bet you he has more work/money into the car than the car is worth though.
Im alittle confused. is twincharged aka twin turbo charge or a turbo and a supercharger put together? i plan on doing mods like this as soon as i trade my LT for the SS. I have my resons why i am sticking with the cobalt
@Stattama Im REALLY not trying to hate here,I love Cobalts,Ive been a chevy guy all my life, but for a 3000lb car with well over 500 hp,I would really expect more that 11s...I mean Ive seen many 300whp hondas break the 11s.Was there a problem he had or something?
@rockerdude29 300whp Gutted Hondas running quick times on 300whp usually weigh about 1800 lbs. PLus, I'm not sure where you got that this car was running "well over 500hp" back then. It clearly says that it was about 480whp back then. He ran 10.70s the next year at about 525whp.
@Stattama 480whp is roughly 530-550 crank horsepower.Ive seen more than a few full weight (2500llb-ish) hondas run 12s or even 11s on 300whp.And with 525whp,thats almost 600hp at the crank,I would think it would run at least low 10s...Im sorry, maybe Im stupid but something just doesnt add up here,a car that light just seems like it should run ALOT faster...impressive numbers, not so impressive times...Im sorry.
@Stattama Cobalts weigh in at around 2800-3000lbs, I believe, if the numbers are accurate then the car would run 10s, whats the best this ran at Milan? My last run I got in a few weeks ago was an 11.4 in my Mustang, best to date
dude can someone let me know how to get a hold of a twincharger? i definately got the money to do anything i want to it. i got a 2007 ss supercharged right now. with stage 2 exhaust thats 3" i believe.. and maybe someone can let me know what kinda headers is best to buy? i got money to spend n have no clue where to get parts.. msg back asap thanks
I've heard of twincharged motors, but they're usually... You know, bigger engines? Like, six cylinders or more... How the hell do you manage to cram a super and turbocharger in a Cobalt engine bay?
twincharging...........every ricer's dream

@SpeedDemons420 Take a look at the reaction time on the ticket we also don't know if the Camaro jumped the light.

@rockerdude29 But it's not "that light." Stock vs. stock, Cobalts weigh in about 600-700lbs more than a typical Honda that people mod.

@rockerdude29 those hondas that you see break 11s with 300whp dont weigh 3,000lbs. they went a thousand pounds less..even more

not knowing what exhaust you have makes you lose the right to own one.

dang istn that what a single charge runs..

@goldenglove25 Yes, but our triplecharged cobalt with nitrous runs 6s, so it's all good.

@Stattama you guys are determined huh LOL..i never ran my cobalt hope to here soon...

@Stattama So would two blowers, two turbos, and a dual stage nitrous system make it run in the low 2's? lol
jimbo98z 1 year ago
@jimbo98z Yes, but you would have to be careful not to hit the nitrous too soon. It could blow the welds on the intake.
