Yeah man, you should work on your tone. When you accent notes you open too much your mouth and the result is a sound unfocused, unclean and uncontrolled.

Im a senior now but I played the tango etudes sophomore year in high school.... i also performed the Robert Muczynski: Sonata For Alto Saxophone And Piano Op.29 as a sophomore. At that time i just thought that those pieces were normal for my age. but my instructor told me otherwise and now i see why. :)
